  1. Yup. I like farting around with my A770, but it's not good enough to make it's way into any of my daily use PCs. Would love to see Intel release something that could at least compete with previous gen flagship cards.
  2. Don't worry, I have backups of all your XXXtreme images in my "homework" folder.
  3. I go through a lot of lube on my onlyfans https://a.co/d/eW1Sun9
  4. Thanks guys! Even though I killed some stuff and it didn't end up exactly how I had planned, I still had fun building in this case. This was the first time I've ever done a parallel loop. I have just always stuck with serial for max performance. Also parallel requires more fittings which is why I did a couple runs of the thicc tygon since I came up one fitting short on the smaller ones. I'd agree the pricing is very fair compared to other cases on the market. I had been looking into possibly doing a watercooled rack build for a while and there really aren't many options out there. I just feel like rack cases in general have a higher price point that deters normal home users from going this route.
  5. It's pretty funny that this "midrange" GPU was physically the largest GPU I have ever used. Based on the latest steam hardware survey, we're only up to 2.73% of people running 4K. The overwhelming majority are still at 1080p. You can pry my 4K OLED and 3090 from my cold dead fingers, but for most people, the 4070ti is a solid option. I wish you could find new 3090s cheaper to make them a consideration. AMD is much more competitive with prices of last gen cards. Granted the whole GPU market is overpriced still in general.
  6. It is a really nice card. It was definitely held back by "normal person ambient temps" though. I threw the window open to get some crisp freezing air on it and was able to push it quite a bit further without trying too hard. I didn't include those results though, because the average Joe isn't using their PC like Bastiaan The 6950XT was the most held back by temps. Once I tossed a waterblock on it, it really woke up. Thanks for taking the time to read the review
  7. Killing Floor and CS:GO are both games I haven't played in years, but used to really enjoy playing with friends. I'd agree that they way they are implementing it is good. If it released as a standalone game I definitely wouldn't buy it, but I might fire it up and check it out as an add on.
  8. The cool thing about folding "competitions" is that even if you lose you still win. Every point helps.
  9. @elblat Thanks for participating! I really love seeing all the new faces around here. That said, I hope you can appreciate some friendly competition because I'm gonna chase you down
  10. I've run Koolance 702 before and had good luck with it. This was from an old batch of Mayhems. I think I actually came up short and added some super old X1 to X1 Eco. Totally my own fault but you live and learn.
  11. Got all three of the 3090's online Blocks were gross, but got them cleaned up enough to run the PC. Will need to break it down and clean everything at some point.
  12. No I just haven't been on the site much lately and couldn't even remember what day it started. I thought it would be sometime tomorrow.
  13. Hopped on to see what time this started just to find out it already has lol. I managed to get a couple rigs online. Nice to see so much participation. Looking forward to seeing what sort of numbers people put out this month. Shouldn't be too long before EHW is in the top 50 teams
  14. Picked up a Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 2.5Gb PoE+ switch. Also grabbed some horizontal cable management, a spare DDC pump, and an EVGA XR1 capture card.
  15. in an AMD X3D thread, I'd think it's safe to say we're talking about an AMD delid tool. Ask what he uses, he's delidded LGA 1700.
  16. Less is more when it comes to design. Except for attempts. That's where you want more. You have to keep practicing, keep experimenting to find things that work.
  17. Wish I had noticed that delid tools were available. I see PPCS has them in stock and I could have tossed one in on my order that should be here tomorrow. I'm excited to see how things go with the higher core count X3D parts. I don't feel the need to pay the early adopter tax though. The power efficiency is definitely a big win for me. We have a lot machines running in the house. Custom loops manage to keep the PCs happy but the heat still gets dumped into the room. I don't like living in a sauna. I don't mind loosing a tiny bit of performance for lower overall power consumption.
  18. I have the original version with the volume slider that came packaged with Altered Beast. It's currently in storage in the original box. I also owned two of the 2nd gen smaller consoles but both of them died years ago. I'd have to dig out the games to get a full list. Off the top of my head I have most Sonic games, Streets of Rage 2, Combat Cars, Mortal Combat, NBA Jam etc. I'll be in Chicago for work all week but I'll try to get the full list and that thaiphoon burner info to you when I get home.
  19. I've painted a few things before and can confidently say that painting isn't something I really enjoy. I run straight to the vinyl now lol Not really an SN95 fan so I don't keep up with them but I imagine a legit Mystichrome Cobra fetches a pretty penny these days.
  20. I love it. I honestly didn't plan on getting a 2nd AMD setup, I wanted a Raptor Lake setup to keep on the test bench. However when I saw the Gene I just had to have it. Something about a smaller board packed with features lol. I haven't really had time to push either of the setups much but I do want to play with the Gene more. The ITX rig will just be a set it and forget it build. Being that it's going to live on the test bench it does have some nice convenience features. The Dimm.2 is nice since you don't have to pull GPUs to swap SSDs. It also has a remote push button to pop the PCIe latch which makes it so much easier to swap GPUs around. We used an X570 ProArt board in my roommates rendering PC. It's been a great board and I'm sure the X670E variant is very nice as well. Also have a couple of the Monitors from the ProArt lineup that I love as well.
  21. Very cool build. Typically people go for a "sleeper PC" when reusing a vintage case like that. Neat to see something going in a different direction.
  22. So I have had both my AM5 setups for a while now. Picked up a 7700X back in November and a 7900X in January. Due to the magic of Microcenter I picked them both up for just over what one 7950X3D will cost. ($348+418). Each came with a 32GB DDR5 6000 kit as well. For motherboards I have a Crosshair X670E Gene and B650E-I Strix. As far as issues go, just the slow boot times that AMD typically has on new platforms. I remember when I switched from a 4790K to a 3900X being shocked by the boot times. Eventually was mostly cleared up by BIOS updates. The big reason I was interested in picking up more AyyyMD platforms is the power efficiency. I had the 7700X running on the test bench in eco mode paired with a 6950XT and had no problems running it on an SF600. I'm interested in the X3D chips, but probably wont pick one up till the next refresh.
  23. Not sure I just stumbled across it. It's pretty good. I reckon it would go nicely with half a * of pepperoni Sorry bubs I guess you can't use UNITs on here
