Killing Floor and CS:GO are both games I haven't played in years, but used to really enjoy playing with friends. I'd agree that they way they are implementing it is good. If it released as a standalone game I definitely wouldn't buy it, but I might fire it up and check it out as an add on.

Picked up a Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 2.5Gb PoE+ switch. Also grabbed some horizontal cable management, a spare DDC pump, and an EVGA XR1 capture card.

in an AMD X3D thread, I'd think it's safe to say we're talking about an AMD delid tool. Ask what he uses, he's delidded LGA 1700.
-
Less is more when it comes to design. Except for attempts. That's where you want more. You have to keep practicing, keep experimenting to find things that work.
-
Wish I had noticed that delid tools were available. I see PPCS has them in stock and I could have tossed one in on my order that should be here tomorrow. I'm excited to see how things go with the higher core count X3D parts. I don't feel the need to pay the early adopter tax though. The power efficiency is definitely a big win for me. We have a lot machines running in the house. Custom loops manage to keep the PCs happy but the heat still gets dumped into the room. I don't like living in a sauna. I don't mind loosing a tiny bit of performance for lower overall power consumption.

I have the original version with the volume slider that came packaged with Altered Beast. It's currently in storage in the original box. I also owned two of the 2nd gen smaller consoles but both of them died years ago. I'd have to dig out the games to get a full list. Off the top of my head I have most Sonic games, Streets of Rage 2, Combat Cars, Mortal Combat, NBA Jam etc. I'll be in Chicago for work all week but I'll try to get the full list and that thaiphoon burner info to you when I get home. -
I've painted a few things before and can confidently say that painting isn't something I really enjoy. I run straight to the vinyl now lol Not really an SN95 fan so I don't keep up with them but I imagine a legit Mystichrome Cobra fetches a pretty penny these days.

I love it. I honestly didn't plan on getting a 2nd AMD setup, I wanted a Raptor Lake setup to keep on the test bench. However when I saw the Gene I just had to have it. Something about a smaller board packed with features lol. I haven't really had time to push either of the setups much but I do want to play with the Gene more. The ITX rig will just be a set it and forget it build. Being that it's going to live on the test bench it does have some nice convenience features. The Dimm.2 is nice since you don't have to pull GPUs to swap SSDs. It also has a remote push button to pop the PCIe latch which makes it so much easier to swap GPUs around. We used an X570 ProArt board in my roommates rendering PC. It's been a great board and I'm sure the X670E variant is very nice as well. Also have a couple of the Monitors from the ProArt lineup that I love as well.

Very cool build. Typically people go for a "sleeper PC" when reusing a vintage case like that. Neat to see something going in a different direction.

So I have had both my AM5 setups for a while now. Picked up a 7700X back in November and a 7900X in January. Due to the magic of Microcenter I picked them both up for just over what one 7950X3D will cost. ($348+418). Each came with a 32GB DDR5 6000 kit as well. For motherboards I have a Crosshair X670E Gene and B650E-I Strix. As far as issues go, just the slow boot times that AMD typically has on new platforms. I remember when I switched from a 4790K to a 3900X being shocked by the boot times. Eventually was mostly cleared up by BIOS updates. The big reason I was interested in picking up more AyyyMD platforms is the power efficiency. I had the 7700X running on the test bench in eco mode paired with a 6950XT and had no problems running it on an SF600. I'm interested in the X3D chips, but probably wont pick one up till the next refresh.

Not sure I just stumbled across it. It's pretty good. I reckon it would go nicely with half a * of pepperoni Sorry bubs I guess you can't use UNITs on here

My body is a temple... It just happens to resemble one you might find in a Tomb Raider game

@damric Frame showed up today! Will be helpful when swapping between setups since my test bench is constantly a mess lol. It's conveniently the perfect size to toss on a rack shelf as well Thanks again! -
I have one of those kits. I can grab the Thaiphoon Burner info if you're interested. When I bought the 7700X back in November it came with a 6000CL30 kit, but the 7900X I bought last month came with that 6000CL36 kit.

Good choices on block and PSU. I also have a few Optimus blocks. Good stuff. You could kill someone if you dropped one of their GPU blocks on them I think picking up the 7950X was a good move. If the X3D is a flop you're good to go. If it's amazing it could be sold out for months. IIRC B&H gives you a 30 day return window so you should be good either way.

Yes. Once setup their controllers will run off the stored settings indefinitely. I have one running my custom loop PS4 that hasn't been connected to the software since I set it up years ago.
-
Nice thing about their controllers vs crap like the EK loop connect is that the software doesn't need to be running all the time. Once you get it configured you could uninstall Aquasuite and monitor with another program if you really want to.
