  1. Lol why troubleshoot when you have an excuse to build a new rig The EFI partition of the Sim rig boot drive got screwed up but I was able to reformat and rebuild the partition... Of course I found this out after I pulled the drive out of the PC thinking it was dead. Which involved holding the waterblocked GPU out of the way while pulling the heatsink... Which is why I still use soft tube 90% of the time Back on the topic of the foldathon... I just got home and walked into the office to a sweltering 31c. I had both windows cracked open with a fan drawing air in but it ended up being warm out today. I went ahead and started hitting finish on all the rigs.
  2. Yea it will be rough having to use one of the other half dozen custom loop PCs when I take it down to clean it What's wrong with yours?
  3. My main rig with one of the 3090s shut down because the flow rate dropped below my aquasuite alarm threshold. CPU and GPU blocks look pretty gunked up. I changed the shutdown point since temps were still fine. (I have a separate emergency shutdown setup if the temps get out of hand). Played around on the racing sim a bit since it's one of the only rigs that isn't folding
  4. I need to try out my ultrasonic today as well. Was waiting for a warm day because I hear they are annoying and was planning on just running it outside off an extension cord Edit* yea this thing makes a very unpleasant sound. Glad I didn't plop it on the kitchen counter
  5. Really close scores between several people. Who's sandbagging and has another card they plan on pulling out to shake things up?
  6. I should have taken more pics before I tossed it in there. The ITX board is comically small compared to these components. Here's a pic of it with my MSI 4070ti Red overlay is roughly the board size. The Zotac card is quite a bit larger than the MSI
  7. The monstrous Zotac Amp Extreme Airo 4070ti was too large to just slip into my Plex server... Which is in a Maingear Shift (a reskinned Silverstone Raven RV01 so not a small case by any means). So I put the 7700X in the ITX board, put the Icegiant on, and put the whole setup on a shelf in the spare rack (with an appropriately sized cardboard box to keep the card from sagging right off the board. Got F@H running and noticed that I passed 1B (that's including old points for OCN)
  8. Got home late but I'm getting rigs fired up now. Got a fair amount of firepower sitting on the test bench for a review that I need to work on this weekend. Might toss one in the Plex server to fold while I'm working on the review rig
  9. I put a lot of effort into this so you better like it
  10. They saw all the anime girl stickers I put on the envelope and said what is this trash. Yours was one of the larger manila envelopes. I put two stamps on it but maybe I needed 3? I don't mail stuff very often and don't have a postal scale.
  11. Glad to hear the stickers made it to you guys. I withheld a few stickers in case some get lost in the mail. If anyone that was expecting one still hasn't received them, let me know and I can mail out another.
  12. Finally picked up the last piece of the puzzle for the sim rig.
  13. Definitely still interested to see how these perform. I was planning on getting a 7900X3D before I heard about the CCD mismatch. Ended up grabbing a normal 7900x for now and will probably hop on the 3D bandwagon when 9900X3D or whatever they call the next one comes out.
  14. So the astrolokeys set was lost in the mail. Took a refund and bought a different AliExpress special. This time an Evangelion theme. The glorious lynx are smooth and quiet but it turns out I still don't like light linears. The magical girl tactile switches are really nice so I'll swap all the switches over to those at some point
  15. Lol thanks. I used to go by Sirt0astalot but I wanted something cool and less l337 gamer sounding. I actually was flipping through a thesaurus looking up cool words to pair with Flux when I came across maven. I think a lot of people misread it as Fluxmaiden or something because apparently a lot of people thought I was a girl for a long time.
  16. Welcome! I enjoyed the more in depth introduction. I grew up in rural Kansas so I have an appreciation for 4x4s and dirt bikes even though it's been a while since I've had either of them.
  17. Ran the model on the Delta wondering if it was the Blowie-Matron from the old Linus video. Sadly only half a blowie. Still should avoid sticking your finger in it. In other news, I have the stickers for the people that replied packaged up. (had to go find some larger envelopes for the big stickers). After I get them addressed I'll drop em in in the mail.
  18. Aside from the price, this is still a really nice card. Getting 3070 performance at 160w is great. This allows for smaller coolers and lower wattage PSUs. People doing SFF would be over the moon. Or for us strange F@H folks, the new 4000 series is awesome. Way more PPD without dying of heatstroke when running a bunch of cards. I really don't see why they wouldn't at least stick with the $399 from the 3060ti.
  19. As promised I have some stickers to give away. PM me an address and I'll get one in the mail for you. @firedfly @keeph8n @neurotix @Avacado @tictoc @sweffymo @Supercrumpet @Cerberus @CharliesTheMan @damric
  20. 4000 series are baller for folding. All the overclocked custom loop 3090s in the office getting slapped by the low end 4070ti Ventus. Will be fun to see what it can do once I get a block for it. Probably be a while though.
