  1. I'll take some pictures of the BIOS settings next time I need to restart, but here is a screenshot and you can see the clocks and scary voltages:
  2. Running 1725MHz core with 2x8GB DDR4 @3466CL16 under water with high voltages, not constrained by the weak power limits. Stock for this CPU is 1100/JEDEC, and god forbid someone were to run single channel RAM @2133MHz, the PPD would be terrible, especially if they did not unlock the APU power limit since the 35W or 65W is a shared limit for the iGPU and CPU sides. Now on the other hand, the newer VEGA 8s are OC beasts, hitting 2400MHz typically. Imagine if I get my hands on one of the new APUs with better memory controller and fabric clocks. Luckily for you, I can't quite finish a WU every day, more like 3 WUs per 5 days is what I'm estimating. When Michele ran this APU for a couple weeks I noticed her PPD was *, but she was running it at stock configurations and one stick of RAM. Then the other day after the power outage I was setting up to return with my HD 7850 on the same rig. I turned on F@H and of course it started folding on everything, so I watched, then I noticed the PPD with 2 sticks of RAM was a lot better. Then I OC'd the RAM from 2133 to 3466MT/s and it was MUCH better. Then I tuned the GPU up. 1750 seemed like the ceiling when it started to crash so I dialed it back to 1725MHz. I simply unplugged the PCIE cable from the HD 7850 after it was finished, so it's just a dead card in the loop now. The iGPU, even with massive overclocks still seems more efficient than any card I own except that GTX 750. If you are interested, I'll let you remote into the rig so you can see exactly what's goin on in there.
  3. It's an actual person who will get pissy and try to dodge your questions about why nothing is in stock yet miners are still buying cards by the pallet direct from AIBs. Do drop them a few comments https://www.amd.com/en/direct-buy/us
  4. I'm an Elite member and I never get a notification despite being on all of the waiting lists. But...now I figured out how to inject AMD FSR into pretty much any game so I don't think I need a GPU upgrade now
  5. Aww hell yeah Case badges, dog tags, t-shirts, ball caps, velcro patches, pens, ect. I have a contact in Poland that 3D prints some very good case badges on Etsy for cheap. Link
  6. Yeah I guess the last time I folded on Fermi was a decade ago with a GTX 460. I only wasted $25 on that card so I'm going to give it away if I can repair the cooler. The fans are very weak and the card runs extremely hot. If I can't repair it for next to nothing then it's going to Ethan's random bin of experiments which is the last stop before recycling
  7. No. I had no idea. I just got into the habit of nuking the unwanted slot immediately if it started up. On one of my test benches it always tries to activate the CPU slot even when I remove that slot and save. On another note, that GTX 465 is a wash. Apparently F@H no longer works with Fermi cards due to open cl requirements. I thought they used CUDA, but the forum staff over there told me that's why it is disabled.
  8. We just had a pretty extreme pop-up thunderstorm with lots of lightning and it made the power go out for a few seconds. This took all of my rigs down so I 'm taking this time to re-organize all of my cards. I pulled my GTX 750 out of my main rig and I'm putting it on one of the test benches by itself, so I won't have to worry about that slot keep getting activated again every time I start the program. The bench I'm putting it on is Michele's, so I'm pulling off that god-aweful GT 730 and giving her the GTX 750. I'm going to go back to a radeon, something more efficient. I'll alert BWG but it looks like Michele and I will not be folding for a couple days until I get this sorted out. This happened at a bad time because some other family emergency just popped up as well, and of course I already have everything half-disassembled. The good news is that once these machines are back up they should be very lean and mean. @BWG @Supercrumpet @firedfly damric -> radeon gfx902 (vega8 Ryzen 3200G) MicheleEHW -> GTX 750
  9. I don't, but I'll double check. Every time I restart F@H it tries to fold on my Vega 64 but I nuke it within a few seconds as it's become a routine. I think the 20 million point day was when I must have completed 2 work units in a 24 hour period. Usually it can barely get 1 in 1 day, and sometimes it takes 2 days to get one WU. It's very inconsistent, which is frustrating.
  10. I haven't kept up with the scores this month other than checking in myself. What's going on? I know you have an awesome Kepler Quadro or something. Does it overclock like mad? I'm testing out a GTX 465 that just arrived. The card works great but for some reason it always says disabled when I try to fold. I am going to try some ancient drivers and hopefully that will make it work with Windows 10. I fed my HD 7850 to LARS at stock clocks for a week and it finally brought the PPD down below the 7870 yesterday in the database. I'm not sure which card I'll use next month. My GTX 750 gets descent points but is very frustrating because it can only complete a work unit every 2-3 days. Michele also wants me to give her one of the good tweaker cards too since her GT 730 is very underwhelming even with a huge overclock.
  11. I'm glad things are looking up! I'm also glad you are not in the Amazon warehouse. One of my friends recently started working in a UPS warehouse in Atlanta, Georgia and he couldn't tolerate the heat so he resigned after a week.
  12. If you need an AMD GPU, I might be willing to part with my golden HD 7850.
  13. You wouldn't have to worry about that. We are all aware of your situation. On that note, here's a couple of my ideas: $10 entry fee, or maybe better yet we make it a $50 team fee. Winning team gets a cut and the trophy, and each category winner gets a cut, and the forum gets a cut. Could easily do that every month. Is that even legal? I mean they are doing that with Magic cards every Saturday on a much larger scale at the gaming place down the street. Also thinking people might want to donate used stuff or unused extra stuff.
  14. Alright I'll login soon. I need to take care of a few things first.
  15. Are we going to do prizes again? If we have no sponsors maybe we can build a pot of our own?
  16. Up and folding now. My GTX 750 seems to be doing well in etf, so right now my test bench is just crunching the regular stuff, no overclocks.
  17. I've been working on getting my cheap asf water cooled test bench back online over the last week. Success! Even the Radeon HD 7850 is working. In the future I might switch back to that. For now I'm going to feed the LARS database some stock 860MHz numbers. It looks like my GTX 750 is finally starting to shine, as it just overtook @BWG in the wildcard category, despite sitting out the first week. I think there's also something like a 40% OC on that card, but only at like 40W board power, so I'm pretty happy with that, even though it can barely finish a work unit every couple days
  18. For ETF, where you run a card 24/7, I take 3 things into consideration. 1) Power efficiency. You don't want to run up your electricity bill or cause global warming. Otherwise I'd run my VEGA 64 with the power limits unlocked at 1800MHz. 2) Overclock headroom. The handicap multipliers are based on the LARS database which is supposed to be based on base clocks (really it's random as hell). The winners will be the cards that overclock to perform much higher than the LARS baseline. We have figured out that it's best to run a card for a week or so at stock clocks with the LARS dark mode enabled to feed it baseline data before you enter it into competition. Then be sure to disable the LARS dark mode plug-in when you run overclocked or you will bork up your handicap like I did a few months ago because I didn't know any better. 3) Can it effectively complete WUs in a reasonable amount of time. I'm having this problem with my GTX 750. While it is efficient and overclocks well, it seems to have some very gimped compute performance. I'm going to switch back to my HD 7850 as soon as I get my water loop rebuilt, hopefully this week. Michele is having the same problem with her GT 730 so I ordered her a GTX 465 for $25 on ebay. Supposedly Fermi has good compute performance and that model has good OC headroom (in theory) since it has a huge portion of weak shaders disabled from the 480 core. lol the first picture with the baby MSI card actually has all power connectors plugged in, because there's only 2, the CPU and motherboard. I'll take some more pictures this week. If you are curious, it took me about 2 bars of aluminum angle which I cut into 10 inch pieces to fit the 9.5x9.5" mATX motherboard tray. This time I used rivets instead of screws to fasten it together and it's very strong.
  19. @firedfly Michele was offline for about 36 hours while I built her ETF bench from aluminum angle. Ethan spray painted it black. I think it looks mean asf. Ethan said it looks better with the GTX 980, but I told him that's going in Rachel's rig. I did order a better tweaker GPU from ebay for Michele which should hopefully arrive soon to replace this crummy GT 730 which doesn't seem to earn many points despite being juiced to the gills. Here a couple pics with it up and running.
  20. Honestly BWG needs that bench frame for all of them damn cards he's cooking. On a related note, I'm building another open bench this weekend for Michele and her little ETF rig. Hers has been just sitting on a table.
  21. Ooh I know my son Ethan is going to want this AIO for his Ryzen rig. It looks very good. I love prizes
  22. I need to show that to Michele. She's an even bigger more obnoxious Metallica fan than I am
