  1. I installed the 2700x today in my main rig. That thing already runs hot at stock, even under water. I'll fine tune it over the next few days and see what it can do. It did so far work with xmp timings of 3600/16. I'll see if it can do better though. That last 1600AF had a hell of a good IMC.
  2. Is it true that if you try to flash maxwell in windows that you must disable it in device manager first?
  3. Weird I found instances where m4000 was indeed overclocked. If it can't then it will go back to ebay at a loss. I haven't found anything about people trying to oc the m2000 though so I might be first to try. I wish the nvidia stuff was easier to oc. I had great success with the really old Nvidia stuff prior to kepler.
  4. Watching this thread closely as I have Michele's GTX 750 which I'm yet to get over 1425MHz, as well as another Maxwell on the way, a Quadro M2000. The Quadro will most definitely need some BIOS foolery to get clocking.
  5. Closed the heat vents, Opened the windows, shut the door to keep the rest of the house warm, and blew a fan from the windows to my 1080mm radiator for a few hours this morning to get the water nice and COLD. Cold for my city is 45C outside, but hey at least it's not 86F like last week. Cold water helped a lot, and didn't even need as much voltage, but hit the silicon wall at 4462MHz. Single: 515. Multi: 4098. The validator says my 1600 beat the 3600X so I'm happy enough with that. This is the best 1600AF sample I have messed around with. I got a free 2700X from my nephew so I'll be changing out parts soon to play around with that. 6. Battery probably costs more than the card I'm folding on which was $20 on ebay

  8. I mean surely they can afford to at least include a used wraith spire or something to go with the generations old CPU they dug out of the OEM return bin. Seriously though, that store on Thursdays is such a farce yet I can't help but join the queue no matter how futile.
  9. Red Team Monthly Sweepstakes: How it Works - AMD Community COMMUNITY.AMD.COM Here’s how it works: To enter, all you have to do is simply reply to the monthly sweepstakes post – that’s it! Although it’s not required and won’t increase your chances of winning, feel free to tell us what your... I apologize for linking to another forum but this * cracks me up. These douchers are giving away a Ryzen 2 CPU and can't be assed to supply even a stock cooler. I hope you enjoy reading my reply as much as I enjoyed typing it.
  10. Well dang. We're having a severe thunderstorm and power went out for half a second, enough to reset every computer in the house. All of my clients were able to save the work units except my etf rig, so probably lost a day's worth of work on this W4100. On the bright side I might have some better cards for the team soon.
  11. Oh if you can get this working I'll definitely put this on one of my bench machines.
  12. Ok let me try and figure this out Ok I edited this thread. Let me know if we are in compliance
  13. Ahh yes same problem I have with the GTX 750 on Michele's ETF rig. It has the 6pin connector but since the driver refuses anything higher than 1.21v, it never really pulls over 50w, no matter what. I think you have to hardware mod these to trick them somehow.
  14. I had bought an ASUS monitor with all of that built-in for my aunt, but that was over a decade ago.
  15. We are TEAM 1D10T5 @damric Wildcard/Captain Quadro M4000 @mmcdonald12 Quadro M4000 @JosephStewartPE Radeon HD7950
  16. Yes. I have another non-etf key for testing things, but I verified the ETF keys are logged into the correct cards on mine and Michele's separate ETF rigs. It usually takes a day or two, or sometimes 3 to finish a unit, but there was definitely more than one unit a piece finished on both machines. Edit: if the next WUs aren't counted I might try uninstalling and reinstalling the clients. That or I might switch cards. I haven't ruled out that the WUs are simply failing but I haven't seen them failed.
  17. Weird. The ETF database hasn't picked up anything from me or Michele in over a week. I'm seeing the machines finish the WUs, but it says we have only 1 each? Any ideas @BWG?
  18. Ok good so @BWG cancel putting in my HD 7850. Ugh on a side-note, I'm probably going to miss some points. I just checked on my client on the APU and it failed WU so I'm going to have to re-tune that OC.
  19. Yes I think I can do this since it's already folding anyway. @BWG Can I just use my other folding key for that one? I'll pm you. @u3b3rg33k No worries just let us know when you get it back up and you can tag back in.
  20. Ok just refreshed myself on the HWBOT 3Dmark rules. Firestrike: LOD/Tess driver manipulation allowed. Ice Storm: Not allowed Cloud Gate: Not allowed Sky Diver: Not allowed Time Spy: Not allowed Vantage: Allowed 3Dm11: Allowed So basically the older stuff feel free to cheat the benchmark by lowering the Tessellation and Level of Detail to nothing via driver manipulation. The 3DMark site will flag it but it does not matter for your HWBOT submission. If I remember correctly, old versions of the benchmarks didn't flag that, so it's probably allowed so that new benches are on the same level playing field. I still don't know why that guy has a weird CPU-Z. Very sketchy.
  21. Well the #1 Rookie is a cheater. It took me all of 5 minutes to see that he has done a bunch of shady things against the rules. I would report his submissions, but the staff guy in charge of that rarely does anything when I report things but he does always seem to nickel and dime me for the slightest things. Of you look at his 3Dmarks, he has manipulated the drivers and is flagged in the 3Dmark database. His CPU-Zs are missing a version number in the screenshots, which makes me wonder if any of his CPU scores are real. I bet there's more but I only spent like 5 minutes looking at the profiles. There's tons of cheaters on HWBOT. I too should have assloads more golden cups. Don't let it discourage you. You under water for all of your tests? I think you can still get away with slushing the radiators to stay in Enthusiast league. You can also spray duster cans into air coolers. Also remember you only need to be barely stable enough to submit your score. I saw @Bones joined the forum recently and I'm sure he can give you better advice.
  22. We're probably going to the beach this weekend since it's been almost 80.
