  1. Yes. I have another non-etf key for testing things, but I verified the ETF keys are logged into the correct cards on mine and Michele's separate ETF rigs. It usually takes a day or two, or sometimes 3 to finish a unit, but there was definitely more than one unit a piece finished on both machines. Edit: if the next WUs aren't counted I might try uninstalling and reinstalling the clients. That or I might switch cards. I haven't ruled out that the WUs are simply failing but I haven't seen them failed.
  2. Weird. The ETF database hasn't picked up anything from me or Michele in over a week. I'm seeing the machines finish the WUs, but it says we have only 1 each? Any ideas @BWG?
  3. Ok good so @BWG cancel putting in my HD 7850. Ugh on a side-note, I'm probably going to miss some points. I just checked on my client on the APU and it failed WU so I'm going to have to re-tune that OC.
  4. Yes I think I can do this since it's already folding anyway. @BWG Can I just use my other folding key for that one? I'll pm you. @u3b3rg33k No worries just let us know when you get it back up and you can tag back in.
  5. Ok just refreshed myself on the HWBOT 3Dmark rules. Firestrike: LOD/Tess driver manipulation allowed. Ice Storm: Not allowed Cloud Gate: Not allowed Sky Diver: Not allowed Time Spy: Not allowed Vantage: Allowed 3Dm11: Allowed So basically the older stuff feel free to cheat the benchmark by lowering the Tessellation and Level of Detail to nothing via driver manipulation. The 3DMark site will flag it but it does not matter for your HWBOT submission. If I remember correctly, old versions of the benchmarks didn't flag that, so it's probably allowed so that new benches are on the same level playing field. I still don't know why that guy has a weird CPU-Z. Very sketchy.
  6. Well the #1 Rookie is a cheater. It took me all of 5 minutes to see that he has done a bunch of shady things against the rules. I would report his submissions, but the staff guy in charge of that rarely does anything when I report things but he does always seem to nickel and dime me for the slightest things. Of you look at his 3Dmarks, he has manipulated the drivers and is flagged in the 3Dmark database. His CPU-Zs are missing a version number in the screenshots, which makes me wonder if any of his CPU scores are real. I bet there's more but I only spent like 5 minutes looking at the profiles. There's tons of cheaters on HWBOT. I too should have assloads more golden cups. Don't let it discourage you. You under water for all of your tests? I think you can still get away with slushing the radiators to stay in Enthusiast league. You can also spray duster cans into air coolers. Also remember you only need to be barely stable enough to submit your score. I saw @Bones joined the forum recently and I'm sure he can give you better advice.
  7. We're probably going to the beach this weekend since it's been almost 80.
  8. What's your status as far as getting an ETF rig back up? I can run an additional client on either a GTX 750 or HD 7850 for December if needed until you come back online. @Supercrumpet
  9. Yeah you can fold 24 hours for me in the next foldathon. Seriously I didn't even know about this event but I won a prize On a positive note, summer is finally over here so I haven't had to run my air conditioning more than a few days this month. It's been nice with the windows open so I will probably compete in the next foldathon for sure.
  10. Joe and I go way back to beginning of high school, then we went into the Naval Nuclear Power Program together. He's since become a mechanical engineer who has worked with all kinds of cool stuff like boilers and weather instruments. I built him a modest folding rig last week and we set it up a couple days ago. I got him one of the ringer cards for ETF, another cheap FirePro W2100 from ebay. I put the same firmware on it that I'm using but we had to turn it down until his new cooler arrives. That flimsy aluminum stock cooler couldn't cool my nut sack. We're looking to form a new ETF team on January 1st if all goes right, team 1D10T5. Welcome to the forums Joe! And welcome to learning some new things. This forum has the old masters, the grey beards that taught me most of what I know about overclocking over the last decade, and now more recently folding.
  11. I found my 3rd member. He's new to folding but I've been explaining it for a few months and he has the ability to do this 24/7. Michele also came up with our team name: 1D10T5 We'd like to start on Jan 1.
  12. @BWG @firedfly @Supercrumpet Michele and I would like to start our own ETF team on January 1st. We had a great time folding for your teams and we learned a lot. This gives you a month or so to find our replacements. We also need 1 more member for our new team and I'm looking. I think we all will enjoy having 1 more team for ETF. Also thinking of a team name
  13. Michele's ETF rig is down for the rest of the weekend. I'll have it back up ASAP. We're swapping some hardware around since I got my main back up.
  14. Ok well I finally got my 500 passes for the FirePro W2100. Shall I unleash the Kraken?
  15. Rated 60% myself. Thanks for doing this sponsorship! Shellback...so you guys Navy vets too? I actually got to cross at the equator/IDL intersection before on the way back from deployment once. Edit: entered your raffle. I really like your T-shirt design. You should sell those. I want one.
  16. Oh yeah things are good. She gets back in town tomorrow thank goodness. 1 week in Miami to go image a bunch of laptops.
  17. @firedfly @BWG I'm having to use my test benches for, well...testing purposes, so due to some slot availability issues I am having to move Michele over to the GT 730. This will be temporary but could be for a few weeks. I just installed her card, overclocked it, and started crunching. Michele is busy working (more like vacation) out of town in Miami for Airbus so I'm posting and doing this for her.
  18. That was actually my test project before I start screwing around with Michele's ETF card's BIOS. She said if I could mod that $20 ebay card then I can mod her $75 ebay card.
  19. I know I'm guessing it won't be eligible for a while since it took forever to get the first hundred or so samples.
  20. That's very nice! Remember that shitty OEM Radeon 350 "Oland" I was messing around with back in April? It was doing like 1400MHz overclock. I found a variant of one that only runs at 680MHz stock clock for $20 on ebay a couple weeks ago...just in time to ruin the holidays
  21. It's possible. I'm going to start testing an old Firepro soon. It's locked down in BIOS and driver level for overclocking, but someone at Igor's Labs unlocked one recently so I'm going to try the same. If successful I'll need to feed the LARS database. If not, well it was $20 and works as a display adapter
  22. ETF rigs back in service running at full bore.
