  1. I voted NO, but if there was a 3rd option that said something like "leave it alone. it's not broken" I would have voted that.
  2. Galaxy A12. I'm guessing that was not supposed to be how it looks?
  3. One day you'll be able to have an AI post the AI articles and I will have an AI that reads them
  4. Good luck with the new CHV! Mess around with any of that FM2 yet?
  5. As far as I know, we don't have to sign up over there. We're getting clarification though.
  6. [H]ardForum has invited us to their annual foldathon. So instead of our normally scheduled 3-day in January, it is now a 7-day competition for forum bragging rights. https://hardforum.com/threads/annual-h-vs-taat-folding-home-bigadv-eol-5th-anniversary-challenge.2032553/ Official Score Card: https://hardforum.com/threads/2024-5th-bigadv-eol-challenge-results.2032988/ - We still fold with our Team Number 239902. - I know 7 days is a lot, so do what you can. At least it is winter for most people! - If this works out, this opens the door to future cooperation and competitions between other forums. Thanks @firedfly for the ideas and being liaison for this.

Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you). Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding. Thank you for your participation! *must be approved so please send message in private before posting.
  8. Just got back from holiday vacation. I rolled a d20 to see who won the DDR4. @mx500torid You won the random draw for the Patriot DDR4-4400 16GB. Please send me your shipping address in a timely manner and I'll get these mailed out. Happy New Year ALL! I'm looking at January 19, 20, 21st for next foldathon. I'll need to firm that up with @firedfly then one of us will post that.
  9. hello. I just got to my hotel here in the panhandle of Oklahoma. It's freezing ass cold here. I just saw that the foldathon ended and those were some very impressive numbers we put up so congrats everyone.
  10. Dude Michele loves playing Pinball FX, which from the looks of your machine, some of those are the exact same simulations, but she's playing on a controller. Just a moment... STORE.EPICGAMES.COM i guess yeah I'm curious if I could build one, what all it would take. Building the computer part is the easy part, but I would want to build hers as nice as the one you worked on. That baby looks awesome. No rush. I'm on vacation and just got to my hotel after 8 hour drive with her and my two dogs (well one dog one coyote).
  11. @UltraMega ok how much will it cost for you to build these?
  12. This is growing into a very solid community.
  13. Sounds like SSD controller possibly. I would rule that out by trying another SSD

  16. Alright I was doing a massive amount of cleaning the office laboratory and I located another set of PATRIOT VIPER STEEL. Good Samsung B-die benching RAM. I have run these as fast as 4000CL14, but your milage will vary on CPU and motherboard. https://assets.website-files.com/63b6412d4ef17b35c8b5f9d5/6434b84039b63bb3967c1980_PVS416G440C9K_sku_sheet.pdf These will be random draw prize, but I'll set the bar at 15 WUs to qualify.

  18. We didn't require you to vote yourself IN on this contest and we took into account that some would be overseas and set aside money to cover such shipping. But if you really don't want a sticker I'll redraw your name. These are VERY GOOD stickers. Same one I have on the back of my GPU block. I believe they are static cling so are easy to put on and take off a clean surface.
  19. Ok so this configuration has been stable for me for a while now: I'm going to see if I can get more cores folding. I'd really like to get 24-28 logical cores going if I can.
  20. yeah so far I'm having no crashes when I process lasso the CPU folding to one chiplet and assign the other other folding processes to the other chiplet like the stuff that controls the GPU folding. I am not so good at software so I just experimented to see what crashes. I am going to test and hope that I can assign more cores via the lasso and still not crash. When I let windows load the cores it eventually crashes. I don't know if it doesn't like crossing the chiplets or if it is the on/off nature of how windows assigns workloads or what. when I get a chance I'll take some screenshots of how I setup process lasso. I am using the freebie version that makes you wait 10 seconds before changing things.
  21. Ok the winners of the random draw stickers are: @franz @Duality92 @BritishBob @Minotaurtoo @SoloCamo @Memmento Mori @Broseph @Nicnac @ConsiderationOn @neurotix Please send your shipping address to @Fluxmaven and he will get these out to you as soon as they are ready.
  22. Nice work! Tons of points and Work Units completed! I'll get with @Fluxmaven to get the winners of the stickers picked. I'm looking at December 22,23,24 for next foldathon. Will have an announcement for that once that date gets set in stone.
  23. We will have some prizes listed soon. A while back I removed the "IN" requirement. Instead if you don't want a prize, I'd rather you opt out.
