@pioneerisloud What card are you using in the ETF now?  It doesn't look like you are using the RX580 any more.

Expand

I've got my "Bulldrowser" rig running the ETF now, it has a Sapphire 290x in it.  I wanted a complete rig instead of a bunch of parts naked on a shelf.

If we need it, I can swap a 580 back into that rig for the ETF.  I just figure the 2 cards are pretty equal, so I figured the 290x could do some decent work.

I'm happy with the card you are using now.  I was just curious since I remembered you were using the 580 previously.

Hey would you look at that!  Wow.  I wasn't believing you till I saw that and then this too.....I climbed up really far on the team too.  I was all the way down at the bottom of the page when I was running the 580.  Now I'm nearing the top.  That's really neat how the 290x is doing so well compared to a newer card.

Of course it is 🤦‍♂️

Getting it back online right now.  Must've been because of update Tuesday or something stupid.  It'll be back up within the next 10-15 minutes.

Already done.  Somehow the RDP window hung, assuming it had to do with update Tuesday last week.  I thought I had taken everything offline on Tuesday to do the updates so it wouldn't be a problem, but I might've missed a rig associated with my folding rig, or the folding rig itself.  Idk, that was last week. :lachen:

Alright guys, I have to cut off my team folding rig for the time being.  I cut power to it early this morning.  We lost our HVAC system fan yesterday and with everything running, it got up to 95*F in my apartment last night with the one window open that does open.  Apparently maintenance can't get the thing replaced until the 24th, which I thought they had 24 hours to fix your only source of heat, but whatever.  It's not heat I'm worried about anyway since I can fold to make heat.  Just grrrr. -_-

If anybody can toss another card in to cover me, that'd be wonderful.  I'll get mine back up and online as soon as I have air circulation in here again.

I can send you a low power card to keep you going. On hand I have a GT 730, and a W4100. The W4100 can overclock near +100% but needs a water block to run it that high. The GT 730 will also OC some. Both are low profile cards that can be fitted with full height brackets, which I think I have. Neither will heat your house up, as they are slot powered, low TDP cards. The W4100 just has a terrible stock cooler only meant to run at stock, but that's only half of its capability for folding. Also pretty much no aftermarket coolers fit the damn thing without cutting them to pieces. It's a great ETF card though because the handicap is so high, and you could glue or strap like an old 120mm AIO to it and it would be fine. PM me if you want either. Probably costs less than $10 to ship, otherwise freebies.

No need, but thank you very much for the offer.  I'm sure they'll have my fan fixed in no time.......

See, the problem is, I live in an upstairs apartment.  I get all the heat from my neighbor below me, and from the sun beating down on the roof.  It's not exactly hot outside yet; however it's been getting upwards of 90* in my apartment all sealed up.  Luckily I don't need heat right now, but man some fresh air circulation would be nice.  Can't open my back sliding door, no screen + lots of bugs.  Can't open my bedroom window (where my folding rig is), as its right next to the sidewalk leading to my door up here.....meaning somebody could just hop in through my window if they wanted in.  And the living room window is broken, doesn't open or shut. -_-

Apparently they'll have somebody out here to fix my "attic fan" by 3/8.

Okay apparently that down time was bad for the 290x's cooler.  I fired the card back up last week whenever my AC fan was replaced, and last night I had to cut it off again......GPU cooler fans are dead.  Ordering another set tonight.  My apologies to the team.  I can still run it, but its getting really hot with that middle fan dead and the others clicking real bad.  I want to keep this 290x for a long time, so its going to stay off until the fans are fixed on it.

Do you have an ETA on getting your card back online?  I just realized it was still down.  If it is going to be a while longer, I should be able to cover for a bit with an AMD card.

Fan assembly arrived from China to California just yesterday according to tracking.  So it'll probably be a few more days to get here.  Says I "should" have it in hand by April 12th.  I probably could pull an old RX 580 out from storage and stuff it in, but then I have to mess with drivers again lol.  My internet is currently running at 0.8 Mbps down, so I'm not exactly keen to be downloading big driver packages for the time being either.  Working on that too. -_-  Apparently I'll be having to use hotspots from this point on, CenturyLink DSL is about a joke.

The 290x I should have back online as soon as the fans arrive.  I can update ya'll here.  Putting an RX580 in will require faster internet.  That will PROBABLY take me longer than getting the fans repaired at this point.  Stuff has happened since the fans died, hence why internet is an issue now. Whateves.
