Well wishes for Tornado Alley folks

@ENTERPRISE or other moderators, feel free to remove if needed or wanted.

I just want to put some good thoughts / feelings out to our overclockers and hardware modders in tornado alley tonight.  Just heard on social media there was a giant tornado in TN and rumored in IL as well (Amazon warehouse?).  I'm not sure the exact details, but apparently it was a giant F5, and might have done some seriously overwhelming damage to a lot of people in its wake.  If we could all just take a moment and give them some well wishes, it might help.  Hey....it can't hurt anything.

So, from the bottom of my heart, I hope everyone in that area is safe tonight and well.  And I hope you all know (every single one of you guys here) how much I ❤️ you guys / gals.  No bromo.  May everyone effected at the very least be safe and well.  Material possessions can be replaced.

Please do NOT post images and if you find a news story and want to share it, please make sure the images in the news story aren't too catastrophic (or at least give a warning).

  • Thanks 2

Same E, I'm grateful that I don't have to deal with storms like that. Let's hope everyone is ok and well!

What alot of people don't realize is that the storm that produced the tornado that took out a swath 275 miles long ALSO produced different individual tornadoes afterwards "The same storm that produced the historic long-track Mayfield tornado also dropped a tornado that tracked through Ohio, Breckenridge, and Grayson Counties. And a seperate tornado in Spencer County." Plus there was a different Storm that dropped a couple of tornadoes in Bowling green and Hart county. Screenshots countain written details of damage of Bowling Green storms.

When I first moved to Oklahoma from the North East I was watching a storm cloud system in the back parking lot where I live and a new friend asked me what I was doing. I said looking at the awesome clouds. He told me to get inside cause that was a tornado forming.... you could actually see the clouds moving in 2 different directions mixing together above & below each other. 😲

Yea. This stuff is no joke. I was 25 miles from where hurricane Irma made landfall (Mainland Florida) back in 2017. It was projected to hit the Keys as a Cat 5. I lived <100 miles from Key West at the time so we retreated to the gulf panhandle. It changed course and made landfall as a Cat 3 in the same place we took refuge. It was terrifying, especially with little ones. Sounded like a freight train for about 3 hours. The thing was so massive it covered the entire state.

Do we know if anyone on the site was effected?

@BWG glad it was just minor for ya. Here at my place didn't do really anything but knew to be ready if it shifted just a tick.

@Avacado had a hurricane follow us back from Pensacola/Destin FL to Macon that flooded just about everything back in 1994 or 95 I think. Been way to long.

Glad the major stuff missed you. The storms hit OK with High winds and pouring rain on their way out to you off and on throughout the day before they worked themselves up to go do some shyte in other states so we were lucky.Insurance isn't gonna try the act of God route with ya are they?
