Yeah I saw this when I woke up...not good. Fortunately I have not purchased an NVMe drive recently. But yeah this will have some form of bearing on prices.

3D NAND and only I think a week's worth of supply - but no doubt storage manufs. will use this to jack up prices for years to come like they have done in the past... really not regretting spending the money meant for upgrading my PC on other things just because of how constantly screwed over PC enthusiasts are.

Oh boy, another fake crisis with storage manufacturers? -_-

 

I remember the "flooding" at WD (or was it Seagate?) like 10 years ago.  They had the situation controlled and fixed within hours, but yet they blamed the "flood" for storage prices for like 3-4 years after the event.  I expect similar to happen this time too.  Never let a good crisis go to waste. -_-

Kind of ironic how these crisis' only seem to happen when storage prices are decreasing.
