I almost had a heart attack when I saw the case. I thought it was one of my favorites (Antec 900).

Man, that's a classic. Similar vibes for sure.

...why 11th? 11th gen sucks. get a cheaper locked 12th gen i3 or i5 and BCLK OC. then slap a used 12700K/12900K in it when 13th gen launches.

Only certain boards can BCLK OC. Need a $500 board minimum. Unify-x, Apex, Hero, etc... Might as well wait for z790.

I need to be able to both multi and BCLK OC for benchmarking. If I'm lacking one or the other it's not going to be good for benchmarking.

Just figured with prices down a bit I'd slowly work my way up to current tech. Starting with the best 14nm processor revision (rocket lake).

I am sure you'll be fine with anything older than 12th gen as far as BCLK/Multi OC. Do be aware that only certain boards provide the ability on the 12th gen (Require add-in clock generator). I went through 2 before finding one that actually could (MSI ACE, ASUS Strix). Neither of the boards had that ability. I know me and @Bastiaan_NL have both done work on non-K variant FSB OCing  (G7400/12100f/12400).

This article might help
