Sorry I meant to do that. Thanks for reminder. I put the link in the second post. I don't think that one updates quickly at all, like maybe twice it updated today.

No worries. 🙂

I've got 3 rigs going.  7900x, 7900xtx, 5800x, 6900xt, and even a Ryzen 3600 with a 5700XT.  All folding.  The Ryzen 3600 I might shut down if it continues with only 8k PPD, that's definitely nowhere near worth the energy.  The rest of these parts are doing alright though.  About 500-700k PPD per CPU (5800x / 7900x), and roughly 3m PPD on each GPU (the 5700XT is still calculating).

I might be able to beat a single 3080Ti with all these rigs!  🤣

If you feel like your points are LOW, check here to make sure that you are getting the quick return bonus:

https://apps.foldingathome.org/bonus

You need a minimum of 10 WU completed and over 80% not failed.

That seems low for the Ryzen 3600. I have a stock Ryzen 1600 folding on 4c8t and it's at least getting like 90K  And I mean stock like 3700MHz core, DDR4-2133 lol. Maybe give it a couple hours then check the ppd again?

Seriously though, I hope you do!

Is that total, or each time you start up?

Yeah it was just being fired up.

Ryzen 3600 is doing about 200k PPD
5700XT is doing about 1m PPD give or take.

Honestly, I was expecting a LOT more.  5800x / 6900XT rig is doing nearly 5m PPD right now combined.  Next gen older is doing 1.2m.  Big ouch.  Whatever, its a good stability check for my 3 newest rigs in the house.  🤣

@Sir Beregond the 10 is minumum total on a new user/key combination to start getting the qrb. No worries if you haven't got 10 yet, you'll get there in probably less than 24 hours then your points will be huge after that. Just keep folding as much as you can.

Ah ok, cool. I've passed that then and confirmed getting bonus now with that link you provided.

It mentioned 2 expired WU's. What makes a WU expire?

I'm finishing up another WU now and then will have to shut it down for the night and will resume tomorrow. Gotta say, this is fun. Hope to get a place where I can eventually get a basement or something I can setup to just run all the time.

What makes a WU expire? Could be a few things, like maybe you shut it down before it finished then forgot. It could be that something was unstable like a bad overclock and it decided to abandon the WU. There's also simply some bad work units (my opinion).

In the advanced viewer, click the logs and check the box that says warnings and errors. That might tell you something.

But yeah remember this is 7 days, really a very harsh endurance run. Definitely not a sprint. So adjust your clocks to make sure they are 100% stable. If you are concerned about power or heat, try tuning for efficiency. The big GPUs can run like 80-85% clock speed and still churn out the work units while consuming half the power.

Ah probably bad work units then as the card is currently running stock and I was not home most of the day, so didn't cancel anything. I'll tick that setting, thanks.

Alright awesome.  Let's see if this continues!!

I'm actually almost impressed with my output at this point.  I'm going to HATE my electrical bill though. 🤣

Between a Ryzen 7900x, 5800x, and RX 7900XTX, 6900XT, and 5700XT (I shut down the Ryzen 3600, wasn't helping output at all).........I'm doing roughly 10m PPD! :wheee:

At roughly 1500w worth of power draw across 3 rigs (or more).

I was probably flagged as one of those bots.  🤣

I was getting that same error message trying to check the stats all night.  I assumed it was my VPN, tried without and same problem.  I'll have to wait for updates here then.  🙂

Will try to add my 11900k / 6900XT for a few hours a day for this though I'd imagine the power use and performance from the 11900k isn't really worth it.

Hey, can someone tell me when this ends in CST?

For me it started 6am Tuesday, does that mean it ends 6am Tuesday next week or is that wrong?

Sorry, the countdown to event end didn't help much for me (who is terrible with numbers and math)

CST is just UTC-6 so basically go back 6 hours from UTC end time and that is your end time. Mine is UTC-7.

It should be Wednesday, 1/31 at 6am for you.  If you check the stats site, it should give you the end time in your local time zone.

6900XT is running now, power usage doesn't seem to be nearly as bad as I thought for the initial WU's at least.  Hovering around 200w with a 255w PL in place.

You can get that card down below 150w and not sacrifice much folding capability.

When I'm not trying to heat the house or run up the power bill I just set it to 80% core frequency and 90% voltage (seems to stay around 2000MHz 800mV).

I've been a bit more aggressive this week though.

Lost about 1.3ish Million points yesterday in a random Windows update/reboot killing a 90% done 850k WU and another crash that I didn't notice for 2 hours. But got things running again today and starting to rack up some points. Nothing like a lot of you guys, but happy to be getting some points in. 🙂

I've got my 6900XT running at "stock" 2500MHz boost / 2000 mem, with a -10% power tune.  Seems to be boosting still around stock levels, but only drawing around 200w instead of the 300w it was overclocked and at +12% powertune or whatever.  Hotspot isn't near throttling either, nice and "cool" 85 ish degrees on the hotspot. 🙂
