bug, sometimes site needs refresh to load

I thought it was just my phone acting dumb for the last day or so but it's also on my desktop and someone else pointed it out as well.

 

Basically I try and visit EHW and half the time it will be a blank darkness with nothing unless I refresh the page. Only happening recently that I noticed.

Same. Both mobile and desktop chrome experience same issue. Solid colour background with no info. 1 single refresh resolves it.

 

Haven't been able to replicate it on Edge or Safari. Started last Friday or Saturday. Can't recall specifically.

Awesome, thanks for replicating and reporting! I was aware of this from day 1 of some changes but I was unable to get my dev to replicate. Now that we have some others experiencing the same issue, this means I am not mad and it is not a my end issue.

 

Can you guys confirm that you have attempted to clear cache and this is still an issue ?

Haven't cleared cache yet, but this has happened to be on mobile (brave browser) and firefox on win 11 and win 10.  It's been sporadic.

Cleared cache. I'll report if the issue creeps back up. 

 

Edit: Right after I posted the above, I clicked on the banner image and ran into the same issue again. Google Chrome, desktop.

Same issue on Safari and a Mac.

I'm guessing it's a script not loading correctly that's badly screwing up the page layout. The page looks blank but it's really just stretched. I took a scrolling screenshot of the issue. It goes away after a refresh.

Edit#2 When going back to Home from an open thread by clicking "home" it took me to a blank page that resoved to the home page only after being refreshed.

 

After clearing cache/data I got the blank page when trying to log back in and had to refresh to manage that. Now it's loading ok,but we'll see how long it last.

Thanks for letting me know, I had not checked to see if it was strictly a layout issue, I just knew that essentially getting a blank page was problem enough lol.

The issue remains. Mobile is worse. S22 ultra. I believe it's my ad blocker and not the forum.

I don't browse EHW from mobile but it's been a non-issue for me on desktop running both UBlock Origin and Adblock Plus on Vivaldi.

Interesting. I can no longer replicate the issue on any device or browser. Im surprised the ad blocker would cause it however as this shouldn't block any forum resources from loading. What is the ad blocker you are using?

Not exactly that it doesn't load, on mobile if I turn the screen it all gets pushed to one side. Then I have to reload the page. It only required a reload, but after my last post I haven't encountered that again. Perhaps I jumped the gun.

I have used sites whereby changing the orientation to landscape has caused some issues and I have had to refresh to resolve. Im not sure if that is inherently an issue with how the browser handles it or the OS but it is a hard one to nail down. 

 

I use Adblock and Chrome and I cannot replicate on my end. If that changes I will re-evaluate
