Recently started my next build in a Raijintek Enyo open air chassis.  Just got it back from the paint shop, had all of the main components powder coated orange.

SLI is dead I know, but I'm still going to run it in 2080ti SLI because I love the aesthetic and I love building dual water loops.

..lately, I only do 'open' builds (unless workstation / server use by others). The TT Core P5 started this trend with me in late '18 (dual loops, dual 2080 Ti, total of 4x D5s, 5x 360/60 rads) and while not super easy to stuff everything in/on there, it was a ton of fun. With a regular case, that would have meant problems galore. Two more builds since then for my home-office, all open ?

I’m new here. Mostly a tinkerer that ventures into PCs on occasion, but this looked like a good place to drop a pic. Nothing new, just titan blacks but they look cool and the third one was my most recent purchase. Just got it all cobbled together last night. Still need to run the 5th and 6th power wires

...started to have irregular boot issues with my 6yr old X99...no time to fool around on a hybrid productivity / gaming system right now...so, I got this, at pretty decent prices actually. 3950X instead of 5950X, but at least it was actually there for pickup (1 of 2 left) instead of 'out of stock'.  Custom w-loop comes later...

Endoscopy. My insurance screwed something up with my deductible/out of pocket max so they will be getting a call tomorrow and I better be getting a refund.

That's a nice upgrade! And I bet you'll try to get all the performance out of that chip.

..tx - was accidental more or less... tried out the 3950X and saw one core at over 4.7 GHz after 1st boot-up, a few others not far behind. For now I'm using a BeQuiet 360 AIO (but with six Arctic P12s in push-pull) and highest temp w/ 24 C ambient was 73 C in stress-runs of Cinebench 23....just got to get used to that idle voltage ⚡?

Temps are all over the place for me.
Under a constant max load I see way lower temps than the random spikes, not sure what causes that but what ever..
49°C over ambient is not that bad, I had a few degrees lower temps with a TT 360 aio with pushpull. So that sounds about right :)

..needless to add that I'm really looking forward to sink my teeth into this (don't have any background w/ AM4, usually just do AMD TR and Intel  HEDT). The 3950X does seem to have a strong IMC +IF though...and I used one of my 'early' 32 GB GSkill 3866 kits (which is known to go up to 4133 before voltage increase in other builds). Problem is time - hyper-busy at work...wish I could just dive into it now..

...all stock re. voltages. Haven't done CPU oc yet, been focused on IF / RAM

Went and bought an x99 board that turned out to be junk off the local classifieds. Dude gave me a pile of stuff with it though and among it was this beast.

no side panels and no clue what I’m going to do with it, but there certainly is a novelty to its size.
(escalade for size reference ?)

@Bastiaan_NL ...I think I might have a decent 3950X sample on my hands. Apart from InFin 1900 / RAM 3800 out of the box, I ran some Cinebench R23 for the first time. CPU is not oc'ed yet (panning to really delve into it on the weekend), and have only done some efficiency work so far.  Also looking to undervolt the CPU a bit soon.

Cine23_single_1373_multi_24491_3950X_HWB.thumb.jpg.19cbd963faa00b075c1701817c08191d.jpg

@BWG ...that Heatkiiler edition is exactly the one I'm planning to get for the 3950X; already have the TR4 version of that - amazing quality, performance and reliability. Right now, the new 3950X setup is running on a BeQuiet PureLoop 360 (but w/ six Arctic P12 in push/pull) and doing very well for an AIO w/ thin rad, but I would like much more rad volume

I also just realized that the new X399 I bought is 3-way SLI and the current zenith extreme is quad and support bifurcation. So I might be sending it back and praying that the board was fine, but rather the 1900x was causing me trouble.

...PCIe distribution of the Zenith Extr looks like my MSI X399 Creation layout I run w/ 2950X...never had any trouble with that board (2 yrs plus) and it does have a U.2 which I like for productivity. And yeah, some of the upper-tier 'new old stock' X399 mobos are outrageously priced compared to the original, so hoping that your mobo is ok
