So, I'm attempting to get notifications for Ryzen 5000 chips. I want the 5900x for myself. I'm trying these methods.

Add item number to end of https://secure.newegg.com/NewMyAccount/AutoNotify.aspx?Submit=ADD&Item=

Thus: https://secure.newegg.com/NewMyAccount/AutoNotify.aspx?Submit=ADD&Item=N82E16819113664

Curious: https://www.amazon.com/DANIPEW-Sand-Man-Cotton-Performance-T-Shirt/dp/B08164VTWH

Also, if I see them I'll post here, and hopefully if someone else does they'll post too

Nice one. I was fortunate to secure my 5950X on launch without using nefarious methods...tough though. All the e-tailer websites were being hammered. Was a case of refreshing and retrying on different sites until I could get one im my cart.

Got disappointed a few times as some sites you could add it to you cart as it was "In Stock" but when you tried paying for it...it was no longer available haha.

Im not sure when the next batch of stock hits the British shores. Checked a few sites but no ETA

We have been getting a fairly healthy stock here in the UK at overclockers.co.uk.

Definitely a bummer to still have my 3600 on the bench ?

Glass half full, maybe later batches will clock just a little better?

I think that is wishful thinking. I have never found later batches of CPU to be better, not considering your golden silicon samples of course. If it was the case that waiting may yield a better CPU with respect to silicon quality...I would wait but these days usually just pull the trigger.

It does happen.  The first batch of Zen 1's had segmentation fault issues, and was eligible for RMA.

That is true ! I forgot about that issue. I adopted Zen+ when I moved over to Ryzen so fortunately did not get caught up in apl that.

Noticed several retailers in EU have at least some 5900, 5950 but they also seem to move very quickly out the door...still a demand / supply imbalance

Yep, much cheaper prices than Scan and Amazon too. I picked up a 5800x for £379.99 and my mates got 5600x for £279.99 or so.

Just waiting for them to arrive now.

No idea why Overclockers are doing better stock wise, possibly better channels. I managed to get the 5950X on launch... fortunately for the real RRP.

Unless ownership changed more recently, caseking.de aquired Overclockers many moons ago. Between the two's volumes, they should get the attention of vendor account execs. Also, some (CPU + GPU) supply is apparently being re-routed to the benefit of Asia and Europe due to tariffs by the US (and recently expired exemptions)...

Got my 5800x installed today and it seems happy. It boost to almost 4.9ghz with PBO enabled, much higher than my 3800x. Healthy rise in all benchmarks.

But, she's a hot chip. I only have the basic Be Quiet Dark Rock 4 and it's touching 70c just opening intensive apps, let alone anything under load!

I'd love to get a reference 6800XT and 5800x around normal price. All I see is a bunch of ebay listings for 2-3x MSRP.

if anyone is still trying to track the items, have you tried https://www.stockinformer.com/

here's a screenshot of some items and retailers they track,if U don't want to register, just leave a tab open in a browser on a comp that's running for the bell tone to notify you.(it'll still track & update if your registered or not)
