  1. I don't know if it's acceptable for the health of the card, but I know I wouldn't do it. I'd look at a way to separate the cards, but I don't know if that's possible in your case. With a 3090 for instance I like to move the card away from the motherboard with a riser so it has all the airflow, in my main system it made a 7°C difference after vertically mounting it with the same ambient and fan speed.
  2. Little bit of an improvement on my 5800x. I had to play with this one for the Challenger Division II Round I competition on HWBOT, so I gave CPUZ another try. All core 4875mhz, 671.5 single and 7136.2 multi 7807.7 total. (Previous multi was 6774) Maybe I should update my bios too
  3. My 7700k has the same LM from years ago and is still fine, though I never really stress it Thanks, though I'm in third already As for the questions, never hesitate to ask them and now you have all the answers in one post: Technically it shouldn't dry out, but it does react with almost every metal out there. As far as I'm concerned you could let it sit as long as your temps are fine, and if you do a major system overhaul you can always redo it. I use Kryonout Extreme between the waterblock and the IHS, I've never tried LM and if I would I'll have to lap everything to a mirror finish for sure! I don't think you'd have to change the IHS after a refresh, but this Rockitcool IHS has more surface area and is pure copper so it should be a decent upgrade over the stock IHS. I'm using a Watercool Heatkiller IV copper block which has been lapped, there were a few deep spots in the block.
  4. I'm working on 3 cores + HT, so not much information on the max temp for now. As far as the process, I only did a 7700k before this one. With the Rockitcool kit it's really easy to do, great quality kit and everything besides LM is included. No need to be afraid of messing up a CPU if you follow the instructions or join us on Discord so we can do it together. I tried preheating the IHS but the hole in the delid tool is too little for my heatgun. Even without heating it was not bad, though it's a bit scary at first. That's rapid glue, a common brand over here in Europe but not so much on the other side of the ocean I guess
  5. Sorry to hear this @Soulpatch... The only thing I can suggest besides all you've tried is trying the card in a different system and see what it does there. So outside of Windows it works, and even the login screen/safe mode is fine but inside Windows itself it's not working?
  6. I feel like I've been the one trying to slow you down for the past few days Also, I finally delidded the 12900KF and relidded it with the Rockitcool copper IHS and some Conductonaut.
  7. One day you'll notice that your board is missing....
  8. I was looking for a subforum to start this topic but I couldn't find the correct one. I'd be willing to do it though
  9. Maybe it's an idea to create a new topic with general system tuning tips, questions and guides, I bet all of us would benefit from that. We only need someone who is willing to create that topic and keeps it up to date with links to useful posts
  10. I doubt it, even 30°C is way too hot to cool the hardware with. I'll use the AC unit anyways if I fire up that system as I've been doing the past few weeks
  11. And it's only the GPU loop, I bet I'll see over 60FPS at 4K! Will let you know more about that rad, for now it feels like the ususal Alphacool Quality, big, heavy and good looking. The only complaint I have is that there is no hole in the second end cap, would have been way better for bleeding air out of a massive rad like this. That might have been why I liked it so much. I don't think this filter will limit the flow that much, it has a big surface area. We use a lot of Parker products for the marine diesel engines too. I think the fuel filters we use flow over 1000LPH, just enough for the biggest engines we have...
  12. It's the Alphacool ES BIG inline filter, it's kinda big indeed but easy to clean (I'll use 2 valves). The screen seems to be stainless steel or something, I couldn't find it in the information but as it is an Alphacool product I bet it's quality.
  13. Some hardware for the GPU loop: And some TG stuff:
  14. The sexy board with 2 sockets and 16 memory slots makes up for the photo's
  15. Sucks to hear @Soulpatch, I guess there is some difference between the XC3 and the FTW3 afterall @firedfly Added
  16. And nothing in the EU All I need is a Kingpin 3090Ti
  17. The winners are randomly selected so it doesn't really matter if it's one or two days of folding, but I would use it for the next competition.
  18. I'll start with the cheapest CPU and work my way up
  19. 2x copper IHS and the delid/relid kit from Rockit cool
  20. Congrats @Supercrumpet with your 4 Billion points milestone! Thanks everyone for the great work!
