  1. There is a 9 million gap between Stanford and EOC on my side. I filled in the link, and copied the results. One unit is at 84%, after that unit is done I'll check it again. [edit] No difference after an hour, dropped 2 units but nothing popping up on the stats.
  2. Ha, you know I would LOVE to do that Only problem is I'll need to run the workstation 24/7, because that's the only air cooled system..
  3. 3 heatsinks for the back of the M40 3 extra risers for the workstation And a few stainless bolts, nuts and nylon washers to mount the M40 backplate without the original cooler.
  4. Thanks, sadly it's just a reflection of the ML140 fans in the main system. It looked so good I did not move it for the picture I'll try to swap the original heatsink for an MSI 980ti cooler soon, once it shows up from China, also figuring out a heatsink setup for the rear and maybe something for the front by using M.2 SSD heatsinks. Yeah, I consider it a good deal for a little over €200 from Belgium. There are not as much Tesla GPU's for sale over here compared to the USA, it felt a bit better to buy it from somewhere close. And I'm not scared either to hack up new things, I've been paid to do it a lot of times too
  5. Taking a Dremel to a new Core P8, brave man!
  6. It was one of the first things I noticed. My desk was totally empty and clean last weekend, it took me only one week to make a mess.. So for this picture I decided to clean it again My blinds work pretty good, my window is facing the south but I don't have any problems with light. And it's a lot cooler because of that. And I've got the same problem with cables, next time I'll clean it up with some velcro bands
  7. "for now" Also a random bullet on the desk, did someone threaten you?
  8. We should start a thread about this, and test a few different videocards on as much settings as possible. And make sure we use the same method to do so, to get comparable results. I don't think FAHBench is a good way to test, for some reason I don't get any load on the bus with a preprogrammed unit and a copied WU from the Fahclient doesn't work. I wouldn't buy a deal with most of the PSU's either, only if it's 1kw or more. And even a 3060 is welcome here, to replace the 1650
  9. Sorry for the delay, a 'nice' project at work is taking most of my time and energy. I only looked at the bus interface load on different cards at a few different systems but I never did a decent test because I could not get the FAHBench to work properly with a copy of a work unit. The unit on my main system is finishing as we speak, after that I'll give it another try to see if I can get something to work. I'd let you do some testing with the cards if I was living in the dungeon I want to do the same with the 3090. It's interesting that the TPF is 41 seconds higher with 55% PCIe utilization, I expected a higher utilization for such a significant increase in TPF.
  10. Nice, but that's pretty heavy! A C-clamp might work... But I love the idea. There is a backplate cooler for sale which uses rubber bands to secure the block, not sure about the looks though..
  11. Sounds delicious! I had a few Chokotoff toffees, and before that spareribs and fries at work. That's the upside of working overtime, at least we can order food And a whiskey, it's 9:20pm over here
  12. Is the Quadro 4000 also for F@H? That's always the same, even with the workstation build I'm doing now
  13. That's a great improvement! And it beats turning all those fans around
  14. Indeed, the hassle of taking apart a loop and an expensive GPU in a new system is not fun. Besides that, one would think that after years and years of making waterblocks they would finally know how to do it the right way.. I have a pair of FTW3's, one will remain air cooled. This card was on top of my list next to the Strix, but the latter was not available in the Netherlands (I haven't seen it in stock anywhere). And to be honest, most of my cards have been EVGA and they never let me down. As for waterblock, Watercool confirmed that they will make a block for this card. I recently messaged them and they replied that it would take only a few more weeks, let's hope that's true.
  15. Top Fuel is crazy! But I'm not sure if a pair of those clutches will hold that torque for long, same goes for driveshafts etc Being a salesman is in your blood, but it must have been a tight fit in that Mustang...
  16. Sorry to hear that about your GPU block.. I was not planning to buy one for my card, but since I'm still waiting for a Heatkiller block I was looking at a few other options. At least I know EKWB is not on that list anymore. Not many options left for now, besides waiting and keeping it cool with enough fans
  17. Haha so true, it's hard to quit listening/watching all those songs and their reactions. I hope we can go to concerts soon, though I'm sad that Marko Hietala had to leave Nightwish. Sounds good, that sort of music works good for me while driving. Welcome to EHW ozlay
  18. Not sure what kinda clutch setup would support that much torque, but once everything is fully engaged you will tear up the road
  19. An engine like that should be behind you, so no problems with the leg room Maybe a little bit off topic, but I'm pretty sure car guys can appreciate a big engine. This is what an engine I work on with 141L/8604ci of volume looks and sounds like at 1170rpm with 2.6bar / 38psi of boost(somewhere around 20000Nm/15000ft lbf. 2 of these were in the ship, pulling around 70 metric tonnes. I love those medium speed engines, but this one is running a bit too high imo. 20210204_105405_001_001.mp4 And this is what it looks like outside
  20. In Dutch ninja's is correct, just saying...
