There is a lot more difference between a 'good' vs 'bad' unit on a 3090 than a 2080. The 13446 units are around 6.5 mil ppd, a 16604 unit is around 8.2 mil ppd and a 17730 can be up to 9.4 mil ppd. Subbed It's not going to be easy to fit a full loop in there, that was not really my plan anyways. If I would do it I would not put any of the rads inside, only a big one on the back with shrouds or spacers to give it enough clearance for clean air. The pump/res could be mounted above the 140mm intake fan with a bracket so you will have some 'cold' air for the motherboard too. Not sure if there is an option to create some extra room by (partly) removing the HDD bay, which I never use anyways. [edit] Are you not afraid of air in the pump if you mount the rad this low? Might cause some noise or damage. PS: I love the reason why you are doing this, I hope that GPU will fold for a long time to remember Mike!

There are cards in stock over here, but the webshops are scalpers now... For a 3080 they are asking well over what I paid for a 3090 a few months ago, I really feel sorry for anyone thinking that it's worth the money. And feel free to become a Nederlander, if you don't mind paying $0.30 per KWH It would have been cool, but she doesn't care about anything tech related.

I'll add the passkey to a few cards Saturday for validation, after the competition has ended. Not sure which card or CPU will receive the passkey, most likely a 2080s or ti. [edit] I was thinking about using a 240 AIO on the back of that case with some sort of extra shroud to give it some room between the back panel and the fans.

I found out my grandma upgraded her HTPC with a 3080, so she was generous enough to let me use it for the comp But seriously, it's only the main six cards folding: 2x 3090, 2080ti, 2080s, 1660ti and the 1650s. Pretty hot in the house right now, I'm sure I had a few good units looking at all the temps! Not if everyone is online, maxing out at a little over 30 mil ppd if every client is working on a "good" unit. Lowest today was 21 mil with 13466 units on all the cards. I'm sure that with a bit (lot) more experience it would have worked better, and would have saved me some materials. But it's not too bad, and I still have some things to build and I can always add an extra layer with those profiles On a side note, the system has been running strong for some time. With the 360AIO and folding on 12 threads the CPU stays under 40°C over ambient (57°C max) with fan and pump speed ranging from 50% at 40°C to 100% at 60°C and is at roughly 180kppd, just for testing though. Don't mind the mess, it was just for testing..

Pretty cool to have all that hardware working! The only old AMD/ATI hardware I still have is an HD4650 and an Athlon 64 x2, no clue if they are still working.. That'll be a nice addition to the team PPD

I totally understand that, you can always get them in the original state if you want to sell them. And besides that, those backplates from Germany look pretty! We'll see what happens, I hope the new workstation will be fully functional. It has been folding with 2 cards on risers and one card in a slot for 24 hours without an issue.

It's always the same, there is no going back now.. What was wrong with them that they didn't fit? Cause a drill and a Dremel fix a lot of those problems

I can't even say that it looks bad, considering what's in that system! The only thing are those red PCI-e cables But those waterblocks look so cool that they make up for every imperfection.

Thanks E, have fun with the testing! Those profiles are so easy to work with! And the quality is outstanding, all the cuts are clean and perfectly flat. I did some drawings but it didn't take long before I decided I needed to have the frame in front of me to visualize and design everything. There are just so many options for the layout, it's not easy to settle for one and go from there. So I took some measurements and just ordered a whole lot of extra profiles, turns out I need more of those 90° mounting brackets but I have enough profiles. I've spent more than 5 hours just looking at the rack, changing a few parts, trying to decide what'll work and what not. I even fell asleep in a chair looking at it

Ah I see, checked out Techpowerup and there are a few nice cards with those specs! So I hope you'll get lucky and get a nice one ? Lol, I guess it's good to have a few spares. But 31 is a lot I had the same thing with NoiseBlocker and Scythe S-flex fans.. And now I have 16 Corsair ML140 fans, my new favorite! I'm sad they don't make a ML200 fans, I would have picked up 6 of them for the new project

The 3090 is so large, I almost had to move my res for it to fit. And I thought the Strix 2080ti was a big boy That mirror finished backplate has a nice effect in there, looking good!
