  1. I agree. That's what you get when you add 750 million points to your team stats, I had another card folding under the same passkey to catch up to those "fake" points but I took it offline too late. I'm back to a single card now
  2. How did I miss this one, I like looking at all those different builds! I have a few systems, but not a single one is done. Main reason is that I keep switching everything between the systems. Sorry for the phone quality pictures.. The main system is waiting for a GPU waterblock, I'd like to put a Watercool Heatkiller on there. That's why there is a cable tie around the tubes and a threaded pipe between those fittings, it's been like that for a few months now though The second system, or "H@F 932". So much in there the waterpump doesn't fit anymore The third system, or "The Office" is the system I like the most. The small fan is there to support the GPU and the cables are a bit messy after switching hardware for a few times. The fourth system, or "The Office V2.1" has been running for a few hours, mostly testing and just started folding on those 16xx cards. So don't mind the cable mess inside that CM690, it won't be running for long like this. The GPU's from "H@F 932", "The Office" and "The Office V2.1" will go into one big system to make things easier with the mobo/cpu/memory from V2.1. I'm looking forward to that project!
  3. I was just kidding about the 30xx cards, I'm good for now. They are asking well over 500 more than I paid for my cards, I really hope nobody will buy from them. Not sure if I would solder on them either, but it's interesting that they had the option available on those cards. Do you know of any model that has more power connectors?
  4. Okay, I got this. Local hardware shop has more 30xx cards in stock... I don't care anymore at this point... But that's really nice @Avacado, does this mean you'll be able to overclock them too? I see you can even solder on extra PCI-e power connectors..
  5. So much cool stuff on those pictures, it's really hard to tell what I like the most! But that GPU though... ? Yeah, I already had it running last night and did some tests. Now I'm still waiting on more parts and some time to start building. Are you building a wind tunnel for case stability tests? Nice, have fun with all that hardware!
  6. I can't wait to see that one And I really like this idea, so we can look back at what we've done in a few months! And thanks for the kind words guys, it's a bit ridiculous like @Supercrumpet said. But for now I'm able to keep this up because the outside temps are still low enough to need heating. Also, having an active team keeps me motivated to keep folding so keep it up everyone!
  7. We have a few empty spots on the team and I have a few cards....
  8. It really depends on the work units, but at 9mil ppd it'll take a few cards to beat it! That's why I mentioned it's not really fair to use this card in competition, not until there is more 30xx hardware around.
  9. Thanks for making this guide! I'm sure I'll give it a try soon ?
  10. I think I'll need to underclock my 3090 to make the Furry Folders line drop a bit and meet the Freshly Waxed line
  11. Thanks, now you know what I meant with the expensive WS hardware in the PB I can't wait to test it out, but after working for 15 hours I think it's a better idea to leave it for another day.
  12. That is kinda scary, but really cool at the same time! Nice @BWG, I actually hate cables on the floor because I'm always playing with them with my feet I still need to mount my second monitor to an arm, it's 10" behind my main monitor... I have received some cool hardware today: 10900x, X299 mobo with 7 PCI-e slots, memory and a few risers! Now I'm still waiting on a lot of aluminium to build a rack to support/house all this hardware..
  13. Step one: Accept that you have a problem Uhm, lets skip that one
  14. Nice E, good luck with the glue And I'm still waiting for the Heatkiller block for the FTW3..
  15. That's not cool E, I can imagine the disappointment It's an option to glue it back, but you paid for a good/working product like you said.
  16. That's a nice set of 3070's @Cerberus! I understand the purpose of this build, but like @Avacado said it would make a nice folding system
  17. I joined the team too, not that I ever submit anything but why not? It took me 3.72 seconds, finding the team included. Where can I submit that score?
  18. That chart is a bit strange, those numbers were not the same as I saw on my CPU (also, removing one core does not make an exact percentage change like in this case 3.125%). I found a 3950x review that explained a lot about the folding on a 16c/32t CPU, which came pretty close to my 3950x depending on work units. There is also a part 2 and 3 if you are interested, he did fold with a few of those "numbers to avoid" but after giving that a try myself I have had a few errors where I had to delete the core and unit to get it working again. Do you have temperature spikes too, or is it a constant temperature? Under water my 3950x is fine, but I see spikes that are 10°C higher than the max temperature I see when running prime95 until the CPU reaches it's max temp. On air you'll have to find out, might be a bit too hot for comfort.
  19. Haha, I had to figure out a lot of things too after not folding for 9 years
  20. Go to the Advanced Control, Configure, Slots, click on the CPU slot, Edit (bottom right corner), and type in/select the number of Threads you want in the white box that most likely shows '-1' (that means the client controls the number of threads).
