  1. That one does show up on the F@H stats page https://stats.foldingathome.org/donor/467906540
  2. 4 GPU's running for now, I'm trying to keep them online. I have had an error that causes the clients to stop 2 times in 2 weeks on the second system, looks like something produces a corrupt file after running for too long. After a reboot it works fine, but that's not a solution. It works for now, and I just reboot the system once a day to hopefully keep it online without any errors. If the competition is over I'll individually test each component, to find what's causing those errors.
  3. That is a massive unit, I would have no problem filling that with hardware and watercooling! My second system is growing out of it's case I have the acetal version, really love the HK blocks! Good luck with it! I wish I had some motivation to dive into overclocking mine, for now I'm happy with how it runs stock Undervolting would be a good thing though, that'll surely get the temps down a bit.. Seeing all that hardware makes me want to build another system...
  4. We'll see what the temps do and how much I want to play CoD I could switch the 3090 from the main for a 2080s just for CoD, but I'm afraid the PSU on the second system will start smoking.. I hope there will be a lot of new guys joining us, let's see! How I would love to set up something like that, but money and heat would be an issue in my house. Once the outside temps go up a bit I have trouble staying alive Ambient was at 21°C with the thermostat set at 16°C (no ac), so things are heating up already with 3 systems online.
  5. Or even a laptop, mine completes 14 units a day with a GTX580m. 1 minute TPF on 13439 units, 150k ppd. Not sure if the "max-packet-size = small" flag really works, but with 10k points per unit you would think it's a small unit.
  6. Sure, I will do that if you pay my power bill from last year
  7. Temps are all over the place for me. Under a constant max load I see way lower temps than the random spikes, not sure what causes that but what ever.. 49°C over ambient is not that bad, I had a few degrees lower temps with a TT 360 aio with pushpull. So that sounds about right
  8. Nice! That's a nice upgrade! And I bet you'll try to get all the performance out of that chip. That's some cool stuff, have fun with it! And don't forget to take some pictures when you are done building it.
  9. It would have been so cool if that setup would have worked. I have no problems with getting beaten by a setup like that!
  10. Like Avacado said, it's no problem. Ask your neighbors, friends and family, install F@H on the display computers at your local hardware store, whatever you can to produce more than @Avacado!
  11. @iamjanco sweet, have fun with that card!
  12. Nice Thanks! It still amazes me what these cards can do. (let's not talk about the heat output though )
  13. I can live with those 2 days of heat, but I think I won't be folding 24/7 anymore next summer. Last year I did it for the cause, but there are limits to what is healthy
  14. That's not easy... We might need a few more active users for that ?
  15. 5k is a lot of money, you can build a pretty decent rig with a budget like that! What do you intend to do with the system? Overclocking, 24/7 usage, big storage or just some casual gaming and browsing? If you go for water cooling you can spend a big part of the budget on something that will only increase the performance by a little, so if that's not your intention I'd go with a good airflow case with aircooled hardware. The CPU depends on what you'll use it for, but I'm really happy with the latest AMD chips. A 5900x with a good GPU and some fast ram on a mid range motherboard will keep you satisfied for a long time. You have some time left to decide, so you'll have a good chance to compare the current/coming 30 series to the 6000 series. That choice also depends on what you'll use it for, but if you plan to fold more with the system I would personally go for an nvidia card. With a fast m.2 ssd a few big ssd's, a good PSU and an AIO or air cooler you'll have enough money left to buy a nice monitor.
  16. I'll be switching all the hardware tomorrow evening after the FaT, should be fun!
  17. Sub 300, congrats I should have been here..
  18. Would be cool to play with stuff like that for work, so you don't have to spend any money at all
