  1. Windows 10 64 bit pro, all the 3 systems are legal copies. It only happened one time on 2 of the 3 systems, just waiting for the third one now The mouse error is only on the main system though.
  2. My brother ordered a 5950x too, just to mess with me and my 3950x I have to build the system for him, so I'll try to swap the cpu's without him knowing..
  3. No you mention that, I have some weird stuff going on with my mouse too We'll see, I don't feel like reinstalling will help because I've seen it on 2 systems.
  4. Thanks for organizing all of this @axipher Looking forward to your pm's @bonami2 and @tictoc
  5. Nice update, I do like the idea of mounting all those controllers on a panel. Good way to hide it and make it easy to work on if needed. I can't wait to see more
  6. So I had one of those weird crashes/restarts again, this time on the "third" system which can be seen in the low update on EOC. The system did not show up on the HFM app, but with the wireless connection I've had more of those things happen. I turned the monitor on, and it was still running. I only checked for a second, cause I was "busy" playing Valhalla and did not notice that it was actually frozen ? An hour later it still wasn't showing up on HFM.net, so I went back to the system only to notice that it was actually frozen, big facepalm moment After restarting the pc it was showing the windows update thing again, just like the main system did. But that one did shut down, instead of freeze. Just to be sure I turned the GPU oc down a bit, but I'm pretty sure that's not causing the problem. Nothing to see in the logs, so I don't know what is wrong..
  7. I'll remember that one, give it a good RAM wiggle and you'll be fine Good to hear that it's sorted, fold on ?
  8. Sweet, let's see who gets close to 20 million points donated to their name
  9. Do you have gpu-z running, or some other app that logs clocks, usage and powerdraw? It sounds like the gpu goes back to lower clocks, or some energy saving state.
  10. Sounds like a great time, good luck making it work! I know how you feel with the RGB cabling, RGB looks cool but it's lot of cables to mess with
  11. There is always a little delay before you see the points on the EOC website, plus if you miss the update "deadline" you'll see it 3 hours later. The Stanford website is a bit faster, but I don't have any exact numbers. Did it show up the next update? Sorry to hear that, is it still fixable?
  12. That's a lot of points, more than I can get right now! I have a pair of AMD cards that I will sell soon, not enough points per watt compared to the nvidia cards I have. That's pretty cool, totally missed it
  13. Haha, it would be really cool if I had the power to get 5mil and 150+ units each update Did you ever try to fold on all your hardware at the same time? I wonder what your ppd would be.. (so I know what to upgrade for the next competition)
  14. I've had a random issue with F@H the past few days. After booting a system the client starts in the background, but instead of opening the already running application it somehow tries to start the advanced control again. It shows "connecting" and does not continue. If I don't double click the F@H app but instead navigate to the hidden icons I see the "sleeping" F@H icon, right click and "open advanced control" and it works like it should.
  15. It looks like I had a few missing units being credited, 5 million points and 173 units in one update @ENTERPRISE Thanks for looking into the docs implementation! @Mistio It's a race where everyone has an even chance of winning, and we all help the research! ?
  16. Sounds like a lot of work. Are you sure you won't be joining the competition that starts in a few hours with one of the systems?
  17. I was just checking this thread for the time and date Looks like I can play Valhalla for a few hours before this one starts Again, congrats on that huge milestone! All the points are welcome here ?
  18. It only happened on my main system, but all of them are windows. Maybe one day I'll switch the second system to an other OS
  19. I'm trying to find those arms for sale so I can donate them, no luck so far Making the system easy to work on might be a good thing, lifting a fully build rig like that is not the best thing to do!
  20. I still hate myself for getting rid of my ATCS 840 case. It also had a motherboard tray, something that should be used on more of the high-end cases. That's a nice setup! I know how you feel about taking not enough pics. I had so many builds, cool setups and things like that but I only have a few pictures from them. Looking forward to the Q300L build, looks like a nice compact case to build in
  21. It was turned off.. But Microsoft does not care about what you prefer, installing Edge is more important!
  22. No way, I had the exact same thing happen. System was down, and I had no idea why. So I started the system and it was finishing a windows update. And all the update sh.. was turned off.. 2 threads should be enough per gpu ?
  23. Perfect example of the impact from being tired. For that same reason, I take a day off to build a system or do it in the weekends. Switching a GPU or a fan is fine, but that's it I totally agree, it takes more time to fix the mistakes! Not grinding down cut edges from casemods is also a good way to cut your hand. Now I mention that, I've once had a few metal pieces in my eye working on a casemod (now I wear glasses everyday)
