  1. I've seen that Thrustmaster Boeing 787 yoke a while ago and it does seem pretty good, I just don't think it's worth it for me. Not now anyway. I might get it at some point in the future. In plane related news, there's quite a few planes coming out this year that I'm interested in. There's the FBW A380 which looks as good as the top payware mods but it's free. The Boeing 757 from Blue Bird, it's supposed to come with a study level version as well as an easy "hop in and fly" version for people who don't care about realism. The PMDG 777 is also coming out later this year and finally the MD-11 rom TFDI. This is going to be an expensive year for me.
  2. Update 8 days later: Not basically medicine. Nearly died.
  3. I think the limiter has always been 275K. I do remember not long after it came out, I found out how to switch on the dev settings. I did that then took a Cessna 152 up to the height limit with simulation damage off to see what would happen. Turns out the 152 doesn't like being that high up.
  4. Ayyy I was also testing the service ceiling with the F/A-18 over New Zealand with this new update after I heard about the F22 having seemingly no issues flying at 58,000ft and it having an official service ceiling of 50,000ft. The F/A-18 supposed to have a service ceiling of 45,000ft but it can go up to 60,000ft fine. It's just not the most efficient way of flying.
  5. Yeah, I noticed I downloaded that without even realising. I think that's why I've been seeing cruise ships around coastal cities.
  6. Penicillin comes from mold so this is basically medicine.
  7. Yes, but EU laws still apply. We got all of the cons of leaving the EU with none of the pros.
  8. Looks like the EU have decided to make an exemption rule to the 2035 ICE ban. EU's 2035 ban exemption gives small UK sports car makers lifeline WWW.AUTOCAR.CO.UK Manufacturers building fewer than 1000 vehicles per year will be exempt from the ban on new ICE cars
  9. I just made the mistake of going on r/microsoftflightsim. That subreddit is full of morons posting a screenshot or a video titled "what am I doing wrong?" with no further context as to what issue they're having. Sometimes a few hours later, the OP will post a comment saying what the problem was. Like this for example: If you guessed "the IRS needs to be aligned" you're wrong. The issue is that hydraulics systems aren't working because they're not switched on.
  10. I spent $70 on this 737-700, so you bet I'm going to fly it a lot although honestly I should have waited for the -800 instead of the -700 which was the first one to release. I do think if they changed their business model, they'd get more money coming in. If they made all of their 737 variants $70, but if you buy one of them, you can get the rest for an additional $20 each, more people are going to give them money for these. I'd pay an additional $20 each to get the -800 and -900ER. I'm not going to spend another $70 on the -800 and $50 on the -900ER, both of which are basically the same plane, but with a different weight and a bit longer. It is also a really good plane to fly, but yes, it does feel unresponsive if you're used to smaller planes, especially that Pitts. It is more responsive than the 787 and 747 though. If you want to see roughly what it's like to fly, I'd suggest the FBW A320. It's as close as you're going to get to the PMDG 737 but for free.
  11. Ayyy that was pretty quick, thanks.
  12. Flying the PMDG 737 again. I do like how the HUD does this to make it easier to see I also found out there was an update that included window shades There is someone who claims to fly these IRL on YouTube who does say both the HUD thing and the Boeing window shades are very accurate to real life.
  13. I like this idea, as long as a size restriction is definitely put in and a reasonable size. The other site did this while on vbulletin and we could have signature images that were up to (tested) 50,000 pixels long. Someone had a very long lamp in their signature.
  14. I've been told the quickest way to get the old coolant out remove the coolant reservoir cap, and then stab a few holes at the bottom of the radiator. The old coolant will come out very quickly.
  15. I'm surprised RGB is still a thing tbh, I thought it would have died off a few years ago. Personally, I wouldn't mind it if it didn't make hardware more expensive.
  16. The A310-300 runs pretty decently now. Re-trying it after a couple of updates to see what performance I get, and it's now the same as every other plane. When it first released, I'd get 18-22fps with it. It can also kind of do long haul flights so I'll be using that for a while. Nothing like the 787 or 747, both of which aren't very good as far as the model goes. So I'm probably going to be using that until the PMDG 777-300ER releases or 777X if they decide to do that instead. The current release date for the 777 from PMDG is "yes" so it's still going to be a while. The only thing that is confirmed about it is that they are making a 777 for MSFS and it's the next airliner to come out when they're done with the 737 series. They've just released the last 737 a few days ago so I'm guessing end of this year/early next year for the first 777 to release.
  17. I do live in a very flat area so that would explain why so many glider pilots always landed in farmers fields. Well, one field specifically. No idea if the farmer had an arrangement with the local gliders.
  18. I thought this was MSFS for a second lol Have you ever had to land in a farmers field? That was a surprisingly common occurrence with gliders where I used to live.
  19. Another update: I started it up again today to try more things to see if they're working, mostly electrical things. The heater does work, so that's good. I thought it didn't work because the heater core was clogged or something. All of the lights except right parking light works. Bonking the parking light did make it switch on so most likely just a loose connection. This is something I have to fix as it's an instant MOT failure but it's not a big deal. When going from N to D, the car does lurch forward which is not a good thing. It's not dangerous or an MOT failure, but it's something that does need to be fixed ASAP. I've looked at two different documents from Toyota on this and both say it's most likely a solenoid issue, but it could also be an issue with the gearbox oil filter that just needs to be replaced. I'm hoping it's the latter as that's a much easier thing to do. Rear suspension needs adjusting. It's far too stiff, even on grass. This shouldn't make it fail the MOT but tbh it should be a fail although there's no way to really test for this. Suspension much stiffer on the rear than the front, especially on a RWD car, makes it prone to oversteer. Not only that, but it has increased danger of having a blow out going through a pothole. Luckily this is relatively easy to fix. I just need to soften the damper settings. It's a shame it's not like the front suspension with super easy access. I need to remove the rear seat again to get to the adjustment knobs. The horn does sound a bit bad. It might just be a loose connection but it sounds off and a bit quiet. But other than those things and the things in the above post, it's looking good.
  20. I'm surprised it fit on the runway given how wide it is. The wingspan of the A320 isn't much bigger than the DC3.
