  1. Ayyy that was pretty quick, thanks.
  2. Flying the PMDG 737 again. I do like how the HUD does this to make it easier to see I also found out there was an update that included window shades There is someone who claims to fly these IRL on YouTube who does say both the HUD thing and the Boeing window shades are very accurate to real life.
  3. I like this idea, as long as a size restriction is definitely put in and a reasonable size. The other site did this while on vbulletin and we could have signature images that were up to (tested) 50,000 pixels long. Someone had a very long lamp in their signature.
  4. I've been told the quickest way to get the old coolant out remove the coolant reservoir cap, and then stab a few holes at the bottom of the radiator. The old coolant will come out very quickly.
  5. I'm surprised RGB is still a thing tbh, I thought it would have died off a few years ago. Personally, I wouldn't mind it if it didn't make hardware more expensive.
  6. The A310-300 runs pretty decently now. Re-trying it after a couple of updates to see what performance I get, and it's now the same as every other plane. When it first released, I'd get 18-22fps with it. It can also kind of do long haul flights so I'll be using that for a while. Nothing like the 787 or 747, both of which aren't very good as far as the model goes. So I'm probably going to be using that until the PMDG 777-300ER releases or 777X if they decide to do that instead. The current release date for the 777 from PMDG is "yes" so it's still going to be a while. The only thing that is confirmed about it is that they are making a 777 for MSFS and it's the next airliner to come out when they're done with the 737 series. They've just released the last 737 a few days ago so I'm guessing end of this year/early next year for the first 777 to release.
  7. I do live in a very flat area so that would explain why so many glider pilots always landed in farmers fields. Well, one field specifically. No idea if the farmer had an arrangement with the local gliders.
  8. I thought this was MSFS for a second lol Have you ever had to land in a farmers field? That was a surprisingly common occurrence with gliders where I used to live.
  9. Another update: I started it up again today to try more things to see if they're working, mostly electrical things. The heater does work, so that's good. I thought it didn't work because the heater core was clogged or something. All of the lights except right parking light works. Bonking the parking light did make it switch on so most likely just a loose connection. This is something I have to fix as it's an instant MOT failure but it's not a big deal. When going from N to D, the car does lurch forward which is not a good thing. It's not dangerous or an MOT failure, but it's something that does need to be fixed ASAP. I've looked at two different documents from Toyota on this and both say it's most likely a solenoid issue, but it could also be an issue with the gearbox oil filter that just needs to be replaced. I'm hoping it's the latter as that's a much easier thing to do. Rear suspension needs adjusting. It's far too stiff, even on grass. This shouldn't make it fail the MOT but tbh it should be a fail although there's no way to really test for this. Suspension much stiffer on the rear than the front, especially on a RWD car, makes it prone to oversteer. Not only that, but it has increased danger of having a blow out going through a pothole. Luckily this is relatively easy to fix. I just need to soften the damper settings. It's a shame it's not like the front suspension with super easy access. I need to remove the rear seat again to get to the adjustment knobs. The horn does sound a bit bad. It might just be a loose connection but it sounds off and a bit quiet. But other than those things and the things in the above post, it's looking good.
  10. I'm surprised it fit on the runway given how wide it is. The wingspan of the A320 isn't much bigger than the DC3.
  11. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are mods like that. I know there is/was a mod for either the Cessna 152 or 172 that gave it 2x A320 engines. I tried the DC3 once when it first came out and immediately crashed it. Like not even 3 seconds of air time after takeoff and it nosedived into the runway. I don't know what I did wrong, if anything at all, there might have been a bug with the physics that has since been fixed. Earlier when I flew it, it was fine. Just more difficult than a modern plane which is expected.
  12. Just tried to do a proper flight with the DC3 and it's surprisingly difficult to fly. Slow as well, took 43 minutes to get from San Diego to Los Angeles. IRL right now, the same trip is 2hrs 20mins with a car. If you go at night, you can probably drop that down to 1hr - 1hr 10 mins.
  13. I forgot this thread existed. Binotto has been let go by Ferrari. I'm looking forward to seeing how well they do in 2023. The first couple of races of 2022 went very well for Ferrari, then there were repeated mess ups, almost all from the team rather than drivers. The Ferrari seems to be a really good car, but the team sucked.
  14. Yeah, last I heard the Aventador successor was supposed to be a turbo V8 hybrid. Turns out that wasn't true.
  15. Lug nuts. I need 9 of them. I could either buy them for £5.99 each or a set of 20 for £24.99.
  16. Just pricing out the things I need now + just bought lugnuts. I found some that weren't £5.99 each, so I bought them. I only need 9 but I found 20 for £24.99 so I bought those. Rotors and pads - EBC PDKF1098 + PDKR512 - £379.33 Brake hose - Goodridge SLX0401-4P - £95.98 Oil - 5L Mobil Super 1000 + 1L Mobil Super 1000 - £44.48 Oil filter - Can't find a Toyota/Denso one. - £?? Coolant - 5L Motul Auto Cool x3 - £80 Brake fluid - Motul DOT 5.1 500ml x6 - £43.80 Timing belt - Dayco timing belt - £43.99 Auxiliary belt - Dayco drive belt - £49.99 Wipers - Bosch Aerotwin - £25 So that's £762.57 not including oil filter or tools that I may need to buy. Other things to get it road legal assuming it passes the MOT first time without problems: New license plate - £15 Insurance - £??? MOT - £50 Tax - £295
  17. I could, but it made no difference. I'm just not going to use DLSS tbh. Switching it on makes me go from 28-30fps to 32-34fps. It's not worth it when the glass cockpit of the planes I normally fly look like this.
  18. Lamborghini Aventador 2 just dropped. This is all that was shown so far, but it's going to have an NA V12 with a hybrid drivetrain for 1050hp.
  19. I'm trying with the Halo Pelican right now. Using DX11 (DX12 is unplayable for me) and DLSS, this is what the glass cockpit looks like in the various settings (minus auto): Ultra performance Performance Balanced (what the F-18 screenshot was) Quality DLAA Off The frame rate difference I'm getting between off and quality which is pretty much the same as DLAA, is only a 3fps increase. That extra 3fps isn't worth the blurry text. EDIT: While I'm in this plane/helicopter/thing, here's the interior view with the rear open where you can walk around while around downtown LA.
