  1. I suppose that does depend on the situation they were in with their 11s. I'm only going from an 11 to a 12 Pro because it works out as cheaper per month when I upgrade through my network. I get a new phone with significantly better cameras, styling I like, double the storage and I pay less per month than I am now. Makes perfect sense. Otherwise, yeah I agree that would not be a smart thing to do. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the 11. Those are still going to be good for another 4-5 years.
  2. Not really, it happens to other flagship phones as well. A vast majority of people getting the 12 aren't coming from the 11. Same happens with Android flagship phones.
  3. Source I ordered mine 10 minutes after the pre-order thing opened and I'm going to get it in November. I don't have an exact date for when I'm going to get mine, but that's just how quickly these things are selling.
  4. 128GB 12 Pro. Works out as cheaper per month than my 64GB 11.
  5. Apple have the added advantage of everything being in-house now. They can make the software optimized a lot better than Windows/Android ever could. A bit like how you have consoles that have really weak hardware but PC standards but they're still able to push games like RDR2 at 4K 30fps. We will just have to wait and see if those performance claims are true.
  6. New smaller model, all of them have OLED screens now, all of them have a higher screen to body ratio, the magsafe wireless charger to get optimum wireless charging, even the cheaper model has 5G, the Pro models have LiDAR, the Pro Max model has sensor stabilisation instead of lens stabilisation and the A14 CPU is meant to be more powerful than any CPU available in any of the current MacBook Pros. On the surface, it doesn't look like much has changed, but quite a bit has. Apple have been doing "tick tock" updates with their phones since the 3G. 3GS is the 3G with slight improvements. 4 was entirely new, 4S is the 4 with slight improvements. 5 was entirely new, 6S was the 5 with slight improvements. 6 was entirely new, 6S was the 6 with slight improvements. 7 was entirely new, 8 was the 7 with slight improvements. XR was entirely new, 11 was the XR with slight improvements. 12 is entirely new, 12S/13 or whatever naming scheme they go for is probably going to be the 12 with slight improvements.
  7. They are. The main problem I'm having is finding what specifications to get. I'm probably going to go for poly over rubber because they do last a lot longer. However, if I get the wrong ones, the ride is going to be completely ruined and by the time I find that out, its' going to be far too late to send them back. I can find third party bushings for a lot cheaper than OEM, but they're also individual ones rather than a kit so that makes it a bit more than a PITA.
  8. I'm going to go with this. A bunch of schools here bought thousands of laptops for students do to their schoolwork at home. It's the same thing on a smaller scale for a few office businesses that I know of.
  9. The thing is though, they had a really good chance at winning this, then they went and ruined it.
  10. Source Epic really shot themselves in the foot. Fortnite had 250 million users (as of March 2019) with 100 million of those users being on iOS devices and I believe 80% of the revenue came from iOS devices. As this goes on, it's looking more and more like Epic are not going to win this lawsuit. So not only did Epic completely destroy the one chance they had at bringing third party app stores to IOS, they've also lost a significant chunk of their revenue for Fortnite.
  11. That's kind of irrelevant as far as MacOS goes anyway. Microsoft don't have a mobile OS anymore. You can still use third party app stores on MacOS and that's not going to change when Apple has moved 100% over to ARM based hardware. At that point, it's down to the app store developers to make it work. Not sure about ChromeOS though. I've never used it and I don't plan on using it. When Microsoft did have a mobile OS, it didn't even have an app store, at least not from what I could see. All the apps I had on my windows phone, I downloaded directly from the developers/publishers.
  12. Slight update: I've been looking at bushings to replace the ancient ones that fall apart when poked with a screwdriver. It's actually kind of hard to find a full kit for them. I know there's full kits for a 1989-1994 models and 2000-2006 models but not 1995-1999 models which is annoying. Lexus themselves do sell the right bushings, but they want £36.50 + VAT for a single bushings. I need 4 per corner so that's going to get expensive very quickly.
  13. No 4000 series then? I may upgrade to this. I do need a better CPU and more RAM so it seems like it would be a good idea. I'm going to go 8c/16t this time. I thought 6c/12t would be enough for a very long time, turns out it wasn't.
  14. I just got LA Noire VR which is currently on sale on Steam for 50% off. It is definitely worth the buy. I'm so much better at the hand to hand combat in VR than I was with a controller in the non-VR game. I did accidentally kill someone I was arresting, at least if it were IRL. I punched a guy so hard that he fell and hit the side of his head on a table. If that were real, that guy 100% should have died with how hard he hit it.
  15. I meant there's no source link to the Toms Hardware article. But yeah. you do need physical access to the computer in order to make use of that exploit. That's how it has always been with Macs. Hacking into them remotely is near enough impossible, but if you have physical access to them, it's pretty easy. At least for the people who know what they're doing.
  16. I've been saying that for a while, it's from the cyberbullied birb.
