I didn't click on anything in the thread, I just skimmed the text. I did pretty good avoiding spoilers and don't want to ruin it now the "don't trust Vasco" 'spoiler' got me but come to find out it was just a meme. I think.

I may have pleb internet but at least I change Steam to MB/s tl;dr: 3800X + 2080 Ti = 45-60 FPS, 60-70 FPS in dungeons @ 1440p high/ultra with FSR

I unplugged the fan on mine during the 1st install before I even powered it on Unless you have a case with zero airflow and/or a cheap B760 board with a 13900K or something I don't really understand why anyone would need it.

should be fine. My Focus Plus handled my 3080 Ti if I limited it to ~50% PL in Afterburner. earlier models had issues with certain 970s and Vega 56/64 too (here) but afaik that issue was fixed in later models. afaik it was never fixed for 3000 series.

hope you aren't using a 3080/3090/4080/4090, the Focus Plus has issues with ripple transient spikes on those cards. I had to retire mine when I bought my 3080 Ti.

maybe wait for CS2? assuming there's gonna be a bunch of people hopping back into it. might somewhat inflate market prices. or the opposite and prices will tank from everyone with the same idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
