  1. I mean, they barely missed plan, they are 98.3% of the way there. Not really that notable depending on how optimistic the forecasts were.
  2. My other hobbies make computer parts either look cheap (cars) or look like they dont last long at all (audio). I'm sure many have similar interests here however as there seems to be lots of cross over between the three.
  3. Access Denied FORUMS.EVGA.COM Relevant?
  4. "one of the best graphics cards on the market." is a strong statement haha
  5. Oh are you in the land of extremely rip off Insurance too? I have classic car insurance for my S2000 that affords it to be relatively cheap ($90/mo right now but could go down to $60/mo if I had daily driver). Can't believe it's more than my insurance when I got my first car in South Africa. Also been lucky to never be in an accident myself. Only had my car hit in parking lots or been in cars with other people when they've had accidents.
  6. Why not just use a MORA? I love mine, allowed me to only use 1x360 rad inside the case and massively dropped my case temps because theres no front rad now. Plus it allows me to run basically passive (only have the front fans spinning at ~400rpm to provide a bit of airflow) while not doing anything intensive.
  7. Nice, what price did you get for the car?
  8. M105 / M205 are the go-to compound/polish for good value for money. Otherwise CarPro has some great products, but they are more pricey. For a DA polisher Griot's make some great stuff for a decent price.
  9. Never heard of Malco before... also are you planning on getting it tuned with the intake? Any other mods done?
  10. I'll probably end up picking up one just for the convenience of not cleaning up spilled over TIM.
  11. Refreshing my storage as my old weird setup of 8TB -> 2x4TB drives was dumb. Starting off slightly less dumb with just replicating data between these two for now, and then the long-term future goal is to have them be in a dedicated NAS with Unraid or the likes. Also kinda neat how I went 500GB* -> 1TB* -> 2TB -> 4TB -> 8TB -> 16TB. *not pictured.
  12. Yep, pretty much that. I was debating having each fan spin up depending on water temps, but then I would need to upgrade my Quadro for an Octo fan controller... and yeah that's like $100 more. This also makes the cable runs a lot cleaner and neater... because there's 1 cable.
  13. GPU prices are a joke, so I'm doing some watercooling upgrades instead for now.
  14. Tried out a drying aide / topper (Xtreme Solutions Topper) and it's really amazing, makes the drying process a lot easier (less water spotting that I need to clean up with the air blower) and adds a little extra gloss to the surface. Glad I got the 5L jug of this stuff though as you tend to go through around 250ml per application. See if you can spot the bug that landed on my car... yellow is an absolute bee/insect magnet.
  15. There is this person in our neighbourhood who constantly dumps their household garbage in the park bins and then when that is full just litters everywhere in the park. They're not smart enough to not include trash that has their name and address on it... Would be a shame if someone did a drive-by-spraying on their $100k+ worth of SUVs (to be clear, I won't, but I have been tempted to)
  16. Turns out S2000s just love to go through clutch and brake fluid, cape up with my own ghetto solution to replace it more easily and honestly it's worked a charm. This will really help when I take the car out of storage and need to replace all the fluids too. The only container I had on hand, but a spray bottle of used brake fluid seems pretty evil somehow.
  17. Oooh nice, I need to talk mine into it. We're still using a really old tcl best buy black friday special TV that's rather horrible. Did you get it from Costco? I've seen some sales on the older C1 stuff there.
  18. Fairly good, it's a little bit big for me (which is actually nice on the street) but a lot more comfortable than I thought. I thought it'd be a lot harsher (ie; I'd feel a lot more of the bumps/etc) and while it's true to some extent, I think the much newer foam than the OEM seats helps a bunch. It's actually not that bad. Only thing that is bad is the lack of lumbar support for long trips.
  19. managed to put the magnetic sensor on the new seat, wasn't so bad once I had the right tools - and no more SRS airbag light!
  20. There's a lot of information on S2ki and the local S2000 group who run a seat, even one guy that had that and crashed at the track and the airbags deployed. So I'm fairly confident they still will *but* the end goal is to fix it regardless. Just a bit busy at the moment with other things.
  21. Almost certainly not, the airbag/weight sensor in the passenger seat is essentially un-foolable so it would permanently be on... which is really annoying. I might consider it in the distant future when we have a house/secondary car though
  22. Installed a Recaro Pole Position seat on a PCI slider rail last night, it was a struggle and took around 3-4 hours of constantly taking it in/out and adjusting it. It's extremely tight in there and makes clearances really hard. The airbag/SRS light came on when installing even with the seatbelt sensor plugged it but I found out why, there's a magnetic sensor on the stock rail that's essentially detecting if the seat is in or not. I just need to transplant that to the new rail/seat. Problem is now removing it, the screw is a T25 (which I have the bit for) but it's made out of butter and it feels like the used red loctite on it. Tried heating it and being gentle with it, but almost stripped it. So just taking a break for now. Also learned that the light is on but the airbag will still deploy, it's just a warning that "something" is wrong with the SRS system. The silver bolts and green tape are temporary. Just waiting for some nice black bolts/washers to come from ARP. Also going to get a seatbelt extension as the oem location is *really* tight with the seat in.
  23. 8/8 core, 16GB, 256GB. Not a bad price, also got a $210 free gift card so yeah.
  24. Ironically I was super careful about brakes and I wanted professionals to do it instead of myself... lol. I do have all the tools to change it I just need to take some time to do it myself and learn.
