  1. That heatsink is very curious indeed, I wonder if there are any benefits of that design over a traditional array of fins.
  2. Saw this a bit ago, the first implication/question out of this that springs to mind for me is what will happen as far as the MS Store vs Bethesda launcher.
  3. I wonder if there was extra push to remove multi-GPU support from all but the 3090 this time around to remove the ability of dual 3080s getting close to the performance of the 3090. I think we'd hypothetically see more than the 20-ish% boost from the 80 to 90 for the same price, between two cards and a bridge. If I remember correctly we had a similar situation with the 10XX series, as two 1060s would have likely been very competitive value-wise with the 1080, and that was the first generation we only had SLI for the 70 cards and above.
  4. Interesting, I wonder if enough 3080 10GB cards will get out and around by then and we'll see some of those change hands when the 20GB come out.
  5. Got it, glad to know it's something intentional haha.
  6. Wait did something change related to this in the past couple hours? Refreshed/visited this thread and everything is way more narrow. The window I browse with is about 2/3 the width of my monitor and instead of reducing empty space on either side of the posts like on most forums, the blank space has stayed the same and now threads look like Twitter or something.
  7. Yeah I have tripped a breaker or two with just one big PC per room so I think that's my limit, but I may explore that a bit more and introduce another PC or two.
  8. That's a fair point. I think I've seen bulk confiscated items go on surplus-esque sites. I recall seeing a palette full of pencils and stuff like that, pretty funky purchases. Not sure what the site was exactly, though.
  9. Wait so if I'm reading this correctly, then why didn't Apple act on the OnePlus product already, and instead have pretty much waited for someone else to start this process for them? Surely they know about them. Not convinced by the CBP.
  10. I'm fortunate in that power is included in my rent so I can use as much as I want, plus AC, without really affecting anything. When I move out though, we'll see what happens.
  11. Yeah, my knee-jerk reaction isn't really a positive one, same as when I first heard about this before it went official. Nvidia is already a bit more in control of the market than I'd like, but this isn't really their usual line of products so we'll see what changes with some time, I suppose.
  12. Wow they really seem to have botched that one. Outstanding move.
  13. Banned because I didn't know the forums have been back up
  14. Never intended to stop folding this whole time, but my daily rig has had some issues that have led F@H to cause my PC to crash very frequently. Haven't had any time to investigate that so that's been down for a couple weeks. That's left my sim rig folding for EHW with the 980 Ti and the 24/7 TC rig folding for OCN. However, I've just seen in my signature that I haven't put up any points today, which means I forgot to restart folding on the sim rig after my last race on Saturday. Whoops. Awesome to see we've crossed a billion points team-wide though. Exciting stuff.
  15. What Andrew said, the window doesn't move anymore and it makes a different kind of brrrr sound
  16. New window regulator for the E46, hopefully will install before too long.
  17. triple ban because you all replied before I could ban keyboard man
  18. Something something "you weren't supposed to do that" Nice, added those boards. Always been moderately interested in a buckling spring board but just never pulled the trigger on one. I'm afraid I'd use it for a week and either find it too impractical or get bored with it and then never use it again.
  19. Just updated the OP with a membership spreadsheet. I'd appreciate it if everyone could check it over and post any info I'm missing or anything that's outdated, including photos that no longer work. Additionally, I'd like to point out that this only further emphasizes @cscoder4ever's problem.
  20. Starting to have some fun with the VW Alltrack as well. New shift knob went in last weekend since I wasn't terribly fond of the original. Tint scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and weather permitting, I'll install a JB4 and get that set up on Saturday.
  21. Indeed, it seems nearly impossible to avoid spoilers these days; you pretty much just need to never look at any social media which means no looking at your phone because of notifications and news popups. Fortunately I've been able to watch all but two or three races live for the past few years. Before then, F1 didn't really have as much of an internet presence so I could watch it later in the day and usually avoid spoilers.
