  1. Forza Horizon 5. For some reason I feel like most of my FH5 shots don't look anywhere near as good as the ones I got in FH3 or 4.
  2. You know, I saw when you made your last post that I replied to and wondered if that had happened since. Ah well, glad to hear that all is in order!
  3. Sounds good, thanks for the update.
  4. Well dang, sorry to hear about the 1060. At least it went out doing good work. Thanks for getting another card swapped in so quickly, and thanks @damric for helping with the swap.
  5. Double post but HAH! I just noticed that the chair I just bought has gone up in price by $75 since I ordered it. Good timing.
  6. The Series 1 has arrived and it took about 60 seconds to put together, so that was nice. Comfort is quite good, no real complaints so far. I think I'll pick up the headrest.
  7. I watched a good handful of BTOD's videos when researching nicer chairs, but I didn't realize they had a big refurbished section. Good resource. Crandall especially has a super impressive selection of refurbished and used stuff. However, out of their (relatively) cheaper stuff, it doesn't look like I'd save much vs Amazon, and the best option they had included a couple blemishes and has since been purchased anyways. Really really great site though, worth keeping in mind for the future. Thanks for that. I think I'm gonna go for the Amazon option. The shipping time is an extra incentive too, this Ikea dining chair is killing me.
  8. Surprise, I made the same mistake but in a completely different way. When I popped the 3070 Ti in my 24/7 folding rig (evening of the 17th), I checked my passkey to be sure this wouldn't happen, but naturally I checked in the wrong place and points must once again be rolled back. I fixed it a few hours ago on my end, apologies once more.
  9. I thought about doing that but I didn't think we had a spare fan lying around. Didn't expect it to make that much of a difference, if that's the expected improvement then I may ask the folks back at home to see if they could set something up for me.
  10. I had honestly totally disregarded stuff branded as from office supply stores, but the Amphion actually looks pretty nice for the price. Considering cost and my preference to have a headrest, I think that's my preferred out of the three. I keep seeing this suggestion, or something along those lines. It seems like that's a symptom of the general market having an overload of mediocre $50 - $200 basic office and gaming chairs, and a lot of super high quality $800+ chairs, but not much in between that's good value. Anyways I did some poking around and I didn't find anything particularly appealing around me. If I was more capable of living with either a chair with no back or a $10 dining chair from Ikea for hours a day, I'd be more patient and probably wait for something like this. With that being said, I think I may actually go for this. It's not a Leap, but seems to be a really low price for a Steelcase. If I like it, I can get the add-on headrest elsewhere to fulfill that desire. Quick shipping from Amazon, and their convenient return policy if things don't work out so well. Also interested in trying out a mesh chair. Thoughts? Sorry! Something went wrong! WWW.AMAZON.COM
  11. I'm not really interested in the gamer chair aesthetic since they seem pretty gaudy to me and the only one I ever sat it (yeah, massive sample size, I know) wasn't the most comfortable thing I've ever felt, especially considering the price. I'm interested to see what you think of yours long-term though. You know, if I end up not bothering with the whole car seat idea, using it as a cushy rolling stool at the FSAE shop isn't a bad idea at all.
  12. So that folding rig is at home two hours away, so I wont be able to fiddle with it physically for a little bit, but that definitely puts an idea in my head for a long-term solution. It's set up in an open top HAF XB right now, and I bet it wouldn't be too hard to rig up a small aluminum extrusion frame held on with some 3D printed brackets. Definitely something I'll look into for later.
  13. I've just witnessed the death of my third office chair. The first was really cheap, probably around $100, and the hydraulic piston gave out after a few years. The second was free from a friend, works great, but the cushion material is peeling and it looks pretty gross. The third was also $100, and about an hour ago, finally gave out after the plastic arms holding the seat base and seat back together cracked and the back fell off with me in it. Was pretty spectacular, but I guess I have a cool stool now. Anyways, I think it's time that I did something different. I'm interested in getting something nicer since I plant my butt in front of this PC for far too many hours per day doing a wide variety of useless things, so I'll up my budget to maybe $300-400? I don't think I'm ready to commit to something double that price, but I'm not sure what's good in that middle bracket. Meanwhile, I think I'll hold onto the base of this chair, give the cushions to a friend who's more crafty than I am, and then try to find a car seat to put on this base and have a cool backup chair. I'm in the US, and I'm open to driving somewhere within an hour or two and picking it up myself if there's a good suggestion that comes with some astronomical shipping price. Thanks!
  14. Popped a 3070 Ti into my folding rig so that should be a healthy PPD boost. I think now I'm looking at a little over 15M total PPD on days when I don't do a lot of gaming. However, since it's crammed in there with my ETF 1070 Ti, and I gave it the upper slot, it runs pretty dang hot. Like "high 80s C with 100% fan speed" hot. So naturally, it's thermally throttling itself a bit, which I know it's designed to do. However, is it acceptable to be in a state of thermally throttling 24/7? I'd rather not kill this card prematurely. I can look into undervolting if necessary.
  15. Lol I just found this thread and thought about my dual GPU cards and you just had to swoop in with the Teslas! Extremely cool, I haven't seen pictures of a quad GPU PCB before.
  16. Nice, that's a really good name. Tbh I didn't get the reference at first haha.
  17. In my most recent build I also stuffed an itx board and a 3070 Ti into a fullsize case. The card barely fit because of the layout of the drive bays; it was rather comical indeed. Any significance behind the name? Glad you got more of your hardware working for you.
  18. Yeah, 6.5 sounds okay. Might be a little low but that can be my penalty haha. Thank you.
  19. That's how I navigated to the AppData folder, it was only the FAHClient folder that was missing. I tried showing hidden folders as well just in case and nothing changed.
  20. Yeah I had no issues reading the UI, the biggest thing was looking at cars at the end of the straight I'm on and not being able to tell what car/who it is, and general lack of inability to make detailed observations like that.
