  1. I had to double take at those pics, thought for a moment they were real and was gonna refer you to the car thread haha.
  2. A little steep but build quality is worth paying for, nothing worse than a rickety keyboard. RGB is nothing I want, but the option for standard backlit would be good. Will checkout the company, will see if they deliver lol They do free 48 hour shipping Nice ! Just been looking at their site, not a bad selection...may have to wait till after Xmas though !

  4. Boo :naughty_censored2: Im Im not a car enthusiast/gear head but I can imagine track racing to be fun. Nothing like driving fast to let off some steam
  5. Looks like a nice choice, out of interest how much was it ? I did not even realise that we had that store (Keyboard Co) will have to give it a looksie. If I do go for a new one I would like to have a backlit setup again. Oh and don't forget to post your new kit in the Mechanical Keyboard Club:https://extremehw.net/forum/components-peripherals/keyboard-mice/1039-the-mechanical-keyboards-club
  6. Heard some great things about the Filco Majestouch 2 TenKeyless, been looking at reviews as I have been interested in replacing my keyboard as im still using my Ducky which is nice but super loud lol. Did you have a maximum budget ?
  7. Don't forget to check the OP on ways to get extra entries into this months giveaway
  8. Tekken was amazing. I just played as Law and did the bicycle kick until my opponent either died or the player stopped playing with me because they got annoyed at me haha. Gran Turismo was a great game, but I never really got on with it as I prefer arcade racers.
  9. I think the whole concept is great so far as streaming games to your TV....but the infrastructure to give you a full gaming experience (No compress/minimal lag) is just not here yet. It will be interesting if the platform survives, if it does then I think the audience will be those with great internet connection. The vast majority of people whether it be due to affordability or local availability will not have the level of connection to make Google Stadia a worthwhile subscription, we already subscribe our lives away as it is.
  10. Man you guys crack me up ! Thanks for making my Wednesday. Also this may be a controversial thing to say but true gamers will not use Google Stadia. So many factors involved in delivering a dependable service to the masses which only degrades the overall quality of the game being played. Broadband has come a long way but we have further to go with regards to having a dependably game stream arrive to our homes without so much compression that it makes the game look odd.
  11. I was actually a Playstation gamer before I even considered playing games on the PC. As with anything console, I enjoyed the simplicity of it back in the day, throw in a disc and off you go. No online, No Fee's just play. Ohhhh the good days. I also have to agree with the below top 10 games that made the Playstation Source: https://metro.co.uk/2019/12/03/25-years-playstation-10-games-define-ps1-11258338/
  12. Image Source Hey guys, So I thought I would do a mini roundup of some of the more interesting topics relating to the PS1 on its 25th Anniversary. I think we can all recall a golden age with the PS1, or PSX as some like to call it. It for me was a golden age of gaming. Will never forget the hours spent on Final Fantasy & Metal Gear Solid series. Share your memories with us in this thread ! 13. Source: https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/3/20984028/playstation-supercomputer-ps3-umass-dartmouth-astrophysics-25th-anniversary I still remember the good old days when I first got a PS3 and the Folding@Home client became available for it, man anyone rocking a PS3 at that time would be racking those points up. It was no wonder at the time people had farms of those things crunching away.
  14. Congrats to @xlen for bringing a very comprehensive comparison of SSD/NVMe drives. See their content here: https://extremehw.net/forum/componen...-your-hardware That is a 3 month premium account for you sir!
  15. Well my system is a work and games rig so arguably the storage does make me money. To be honest I (like most) go for a trust worthy name, now that is not to say that another drive is not as trustworthy, but with the Samsung being a tried and tested product in my own use purposes, I have tended to stick with them. The downside is they do cost more for sure but it's a price I have been willing to pay for peace of mind. When it comes to my next drive purchase I will have to take a look at the spreadsheet you provided for some more options
  16. Well if you can do multiple entries then why not eh !
  17. Hey and welcome to EHW, That is quite the list you have there, is that something you compiled yourself or collaboration ? In any case for all my drives I went Samsung 960/970 NVMe's for OS and Game drives (for those that benefit from fast drives) other than that I have a Sandisk 1TB SSD for general storage. All my other storage needs are met by NAS. I have not stored the majority of my files on my PC for a longtime now.
  18. So we have our first winner. Congratulations to @schuck6566, you have won the Aurora Triple Fan Pack ! You will be contacted shortly for shipping details. Today also opens up Decembers entry ! Up for grabs is the Classic Series PSU 1250W. Be sure to read the OP and get your entries in for a chance to win. All the best, E
  19. Last chance to put your name in the hat for this month giveaway !
  20. Will look into an AMD alternative next time I am looking into an SFF/uSFF. At the time when I was looking for a small system was for Plex a couple of years back and AMD simply had nothing in the market at the power I was looking for in an SFF, so ended up with the Intel NUC.
  21. Have it installed and given it ago, I do like the fact it is geared out of the box to block trackers etc, but I would not expect any less from a browser aimed at providing privacy. Seems nice and snappy too, no snappier than standard Chrome but not a fair test as I have blockers added to Chrome to improve the browsing experience. I would need to have a vanilla install of Chrome for a fair test.
  22. Yeah things can change very quickly. Over the last couple of years I have heard very good things about Asrock and on the flip side I keep hearing complaints from the Asus side of things. On my next build (little while away) I will have to give Asrock a serious look.
  23. I have only just noticed on closer inspection that the case has fairly large gaps between the top tempered glass and side panel glass. Noticed this on a few other case designs as well. Now of course its all personal preference but I have always preferred "Closed" cases for my own builds but the semi open case design does lend itself to a semi futuristic look for a lack of better wording as it escapes me right now haha.
  24. Feel free to share it and spread the word. I would go myself but being in the UK...a little prohibitive lol
