  1. Not surprising, but it does seem that the PS5 will be a good step up from the previous gen. Perhaps this will mean better ports from console to PC. Then again we have been saying that for a fair few generations now and some of the ports are still appauling. PC gamers rejoice: PlayStation 5 won't be as powerful as an Nvidia RTX 2080 | TechRadar
  2. Hello all news posters, There are 2 ways to post news on EHW, we will cover the two options below: Posting news traditionally 1. When posting a news article please be sure to use the news source prefix drop down to select an appropriate news source, if you cannot find the right one then please add the source in your thread title. For this example we will use TechRadar: [TECHRADAR]*Insert Thread Title* Where possible the thread title should be the same as the source article, please do not make up your own as this can alter the context of the article. You can quote a short excerpt of the news source so people can get a preview, but be sure to link the source underneath. See an example below Source Using the ''Post Link" Feature 2. Use the ''Post Link'' feature in the editor, this will insert the news article into the editor with a link to the source for you while quoting some of the news title and allowing you to select an image taken from the article. See the image process to do this below. Clink on the ''Post Link'' button as indicated by the red box, this will open a link insertion field, again as indicated by the red box. Paste your link in here and click ''Add Link'' Your added link will now look like the below, nice right ? From here you can select which thumbnail is displayed using the left and right arrows as indicated as well as edit the quote of the article you want shown by clicking the indicated pencil icon. Lastly, Just add your comment on the new article in the text editor and click on the ''Post'' button and you are done !
  3. Poor Microsoft seem to be really struggling as of late. I remember the days of updating regularly, now you have to wait for the dust to settle so you know its safe. Windows 10 serves up more update pain with a side order of random reboots | TechRadar
  4. Nice, it is true what they say sometimes, less is more. Good air flow with that one
  5. @Spotswood Out of interest, do you ship case products internationally ?
  6. I guess all good things come to and end, but I have to say that forcing everyone into a subscription service is a shame. Granted subscription services do have advantage such as up to date software and other various cloud benefits. I guess it comes down to what you are looking for but lets face it MS and every other such company are moving into the service industry more and more. Let's see what the sweet, kind, new Microsoft that everyone loves is up to. Ah yes, forcing more Office home users into annual subscriptions • The Register
  7. Not trustworthy notepad.exe surely ? I guess nothing is sacred anymore Windows PCs can be hijacked through Notepad | TechRadar
  8. Nice, shame it is not IPS but methinks I would be asking too much when you think it is a 240Hz monitor. That being said, a little disappointed to see HDMI 1.4, Really want to see some monitors pushing the boundaries with HDMI 2.0 Acer Launches Predator XN253QX Monitor with 240 Hz & 0.4 ms G2G Response Time
  9. Nice, even though way overkill for me, you have to love just how far the EPYC chips have come, even HEDT. AMD really starting to push forward and really threaten Intel. We need the competition. AMD Rome Second Generation EPYC Review: 2x 64-core Benchmarked
  10. On another note, I have added your hardware rep badge. Please also see: https://extremehw.net/forum/main-forum/372-hardware-software-representatives
  11. Nice, what is that being used for ?
  12. That would be interesting, I would say it is possible with the software tools but not sure what hardware alterations you would need to make (if any). While of course you can OC the Tegra X1, does Nvidia actually gimp it ? Not looked into to be honest.
  13. Hey Spotswood, Welcome to EHW! Good idea regarding a scratch case builder forum. I will add that to my list of upcoming additions (Next day or so). As for reps and vendors, they are more than welcome here on EHW. Due to the infancy of the site, I am yet to create the badges signifying reps on the forums, but again I will be doing this in the next day or so. We will also be supporting rep advertising should a rep wish to do more than only support their consumers. A thread regarding this topic will be created soon instructing perspective advertisers how to proceed in getting setup I look forward in seeing you on the forums. All the best, E
  14. Not overclocking as such but technically still taking the Tegra X1 past the limits imposed on it for the Switch. Interesting nonetheless.
  15. Yep, you can see more here: https://extremehw.net/forum/main-for...emium-accounts More perks will be added as time goes on.
  16. Definitely ! Oh and I have added your 1 Year premium status to your account as part of our new users promotion.
  17. Probably good for our modders that are always getting scrapes right ? Embryo-Inspired Bandage Uses Body Heat to Speed Healing
  18. @qbvbsite Running websites is nothing particularly new to me. I have run others, but not my own. So this is new venture for me running my own baby
  19. While I love the new Win10 builds...I would love it more if they did not make the start menu so sensitive to system changes. I have had a few systems suffer from the dead startbar which usually results in restoring the apps packages via powershell or a re-install..boo. Windows 10 19H2 builds 18362.10012 and 18362.10013 now available on the Slow ring | Windows Central
  20. It would certainly be about time. The lack of competition at the high end in the GPU arena has had Nvidia punishing the consumer for too long. Granted we still shell out the cash, but AMD forcing prices down would be a win. AMD Navi 23 could be an ‘Nvidia killer’ graphics card that launches in 2020 | TechRadar
  21. Hey James, Welcome to EHW, we are glad to have you. You will fit in well here. I myself have been into PC's around about the same time as yourself, not a huge modder though as time is lacking and I have to admit I am not the most patient person when it comes to that. I tend to go with function over form haha. Feel free to ask any question or hit me up via PM if you need anything. All the best, E
