  1. For sure, possibly in future BIOS releases this will be possible, but for now it is not something I will chase, and even then depending on the lottery, it may never be possible. I have now finished my RAM OC journey for now after getting 6400 stable with 2100 FCLK, I get 62.7ns on the latency which is not too bad. Depending on future BIOS releases with access to other settings (If MSI decide to include them) and more mature AGESA, I may be able to push further. I will get a ZenTimings Screenie soon.
  2. Nice! I will have to try it again but at 6400 I could not achieve 1:1 with mem clock/ Uclock.
  3. Nice, thanks for the context! I think I am getting RAMitis at this rate lol. I am looking forward on setting on an OC and sticking with it. On that front I do have an update. So far I have the below stable (at least so far in the testing) I can start to reduce secondary timings more as I think I have hit the best I am going to get with the primary timings so far as 28-37-37-52 but does anyone have any particular suggestions on the rest of the timings ? I have some references to use, but happy to have suggestions. Also managed to get GSAT setup on a Live instance of Linux Mint, thanks @neurotix
  4. I really like the idea of users paying $10 if they choose to claim a prize, rather than paying $10 just for the chance to. That is a great idea!
  5. No luck on that front with admin or removing UAC, so bootable mint here I come! But bed time first
  6. Good shouts, I will give that a go in the morning to see if that makes a difference.
  7. Thanks bud. I got everything set up and installed, however when I run I get the following error : Any ideas ? **EDIT** Seems that after some reading that GSAT tries to allocate memory that is not available and you have to use a lower figure. I just tried that and still getting the error. So I am going to create a live OS and re-set it up.
  8. Can I run this in a Linux VM or does it have to be native ? But its a fair point perhaps I need to take advantage of GSAT. I think I have a Live OS of linux on my diagnostic tools I could use. Any decent GSAT setup guides around? Thanks very much guys.
  9. Thanks, I think I saw that one but will double check. So the current news is I have dropped my FCLK to 2000. Even after OCCT and Karhu @11000 % was "Stable" , it wasn't true. So I am check if the Infinity Fabric is responsible. Now running Y-Cruncher VST as well as the Third Bench to see if it picks anything up. Then will run some games. If it proves to be the Infinity Fabric I will leave it at 2000 @6400MT/s. Then I may see if I can go for 6600MT/s with the reduced FCLK while retaining the same timings on my 6400MT/s OC but that is more for E-Peen as 6400MT/s performs almost as good as 6600, but with 6400 I can likely improve my voltages. What is considered a long enough run on Y-Cruncher VST ?
  10. Awesome info guys. I did not think about Memory Context, I have disabled that now. I also decided to take a step back and try for memory settings that @kaliz suggested, as below: 6400MT/s with these timings actually is not too far away from the raw speeds I was achieving with 6600MT/s. The only difference is I have a latency of 64ns with the above settings but I feel I can possibly tighten timings up further/try for the 2133 FCLK to improve on that. I do have my VDDG CCD and VDDG IO at 1.1v which I know is on the higher side but I am hoping this will help in getting to 2133+ FCLK. I will also see if at 6400 I can drop my VDDQ and VDDIO as anything below 1.5v running 6600, I would fail to post. I may try for 1.35 for both VDDQ and VDDIO. I think for the moment tuning at 6400MT/s will be a more achievable goal over trying to push for 6600. I think even though 6600 was "Stable" it was not stable in all scenarios/on the edge. As I said, as soon as I fired up Call Of Duty, I was getting odd audio distortion and frame drops.
  11. You are not alone. I thought my OC was stable, but when playing COD I get weird auto issues and lag spikes and system eventually resets...booo.
  12. Quick one chaps. Talking to MSI about the missing GDM and RTL settings and they have asked me to reference mobo models that have these settings accessible on AM5 Could you guys give me some of yours and I can go back to them. Thanks!
  13. Technically speaking, our subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, we do not have minimum term contract haha, but people do get funny about these thing and still see it as a commitment they do not wish to make.
  14. There are three things we have to consider here as to why this is not going to work. 1.Psychology 2.Making enough capital to cover shipping/duty expenses. 3.Legitimate transparency Firstly, Psychology. People are generally put off by "Premium Subscriptions", those who are wanting to join the site on a hit and run basis (which is a surprising amount whenever prizes are up for grabs) are more likely to put in a one off $10 over the irrational fear of possibly being hooked into an unwanted subscription. Subscriptions are mostly taken after a user has spent a good amount of time integrating into the community, not those who first join. Hit and run users are IMHO unlikely to take up a subscription to a site they ultimately have no loyalty to. Secondly, If we were to limit prizes to users who were Premium Subscribers, ultimately you are limiting the ability to create a decent pool of money to cover expenses. Consider for a moment that you will not make any money on those users who are existing subscribers. They essentially would get "Free" entry and nothing made for the pot. Lastly and most importantly, if we were to "tie" people into a subscription, this would likely be viewed poorly by our sponsors. It would be seen as taking advantage. Using vendors stock to essentially market our product, namely a Premium Subscription. If I were giving away a money value or product to a company, only to find out they were also using my good will to make a buck, I would be pissed. They would likely be far more understanding about a one off monetary entry fee ($10) to cover logistics, over us making an unspecified amount through tie in subscriptions. I do understand the thought process and on the surface seems like a good idea in theory, but I have been on this rodeo before and drawing off prior experience tells me it is a non starter doing it this way.
  15. Running stability test with VDDG CCD & VDDG IO at 0.950v to check all is good, may play with these to see if I can achieve 2133 Fclk but its a big IF still.
  16. That is awesome news. Seems to have been a lot of progress in this area lately.
  17. Thanks for the info and history lesson bud. I actually have 2100 FCLK stable currently with VDDG set to auto but I wondered if...BIG if I could push to 2133 by increasing VDDG. Will have to look into it. Let me know if you find any juicy info
  18. Hey guys, Just working on voltages. I have SOC down to 1.25. Oddly, if I deviate from 1.5v for VDDIO and VDDQ, System wont post, so they will remain as they are. I was expecting to get those a little lower, but it is what it is. Manually set VDDP to 1.05v Will confirm stability and then post final results. Out of interest what is a sensible manual VDDG voltage ? On another note MSI got back to me regarding the missing GDM and RTL settings in the BIOS and said they will investigate further with their technical team, will keep fingers crossed for positive outcome.
  19. Still working on this RAM at 6600MHz, I have managed to get the timings down which now means consistently I get around 62ns on the Latency. I am almost finished with the timings now I feel, any lower on the values recommended by @kaliz and I start to get issues. Will post up a Zen Timings screenie when done. I have not touched the Nitro settings for now, will investigate that once timings are done to see if that can aid in latency reduction. Once finished I will work on lowering the voltages On another note I did contact MSI about the missing GDM and RTL settings. I am not the only one that has complained about this. I told them that for an enthusiast board I would expect these settings to be available. I have not heard back yet but I imagine it will likely not be the response I am after.
