  1. Thanks for the Intel...pun intended. I for one cannot believe that they are not giving you a fresh warranty with the replacement CPU's, that seems out of order in general but especially considering the issues Intel have had with these CPU'S. Out of good faith they should be offering everyone affected a full new warranty.
  2. Great topic. I get my information from a multiple news sources, actually most from my Google feed. Based on my set interests and the algorithm I get a decent set of information from a varied set of sources which includes VideoCardz, Techpowerup, WCCFTech, Tweaktown, Techradar, Toms Hardware etc. So far as Youtube, I watch whatever peaks my interest but generally speaking I watch Gamers Nexus and LTT. Hardware Unboxed is also a great one. JaysTwoCentz I do not watch for information but more for entertainment, the same could be said for LTT as well. Other information I get is based on specific searches which usually lands me in other company specific forums, sometimes reddit and github.
  3. Comments sent to the developer to collect thoughts.
  4. I cannot control what others do outside of EHW. It is up to others to use their own decision making on whether to ignore posts from users that they do not like.
  5. Either that or they are spammers trying to look legit prior to a spam strike. That being said, a company could certainly create fake scenarios to create some form of traffic. ChatGPT can even be used to form posts for them if they wanted.
  6. While Intel is still the big boy on the block, there concerns seem small and there reply not only weak but very late. I think they should be more worried what a threat Ryzen poses to them, especially in light of this fiasco as it will only drive users to AMD.
  7. Thanks for the suggestion. I do not see a drawback by creating a rig total this way, though I would make the price fields optional for each component, otherwise having it mandatory could be the difference of someone entering a rig profile or walking away. I will speak with our developer at some point in the future about this alteration.
  8. I would imagine the likes of Gamers Nexus etc will re-run benchmarks to compare pre/post microcode update performance to see if this move gimps the processors ability to boost etc.
  9. https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intel-finally-announces-a-solution-for-cpu-crashing-errors-claims-elevated-voltages-are-the-root-cause-fix-coming-by-mid-august
  10. Looks like this competition has gained some excellent submissions, definitely something I would like to do more of
  11. Thanks, I have actually been waiting for GN to release this video as they eluded to some theories based on insider information they received. Will have to sit back and watch this later. If it were me and I had a CPU from the affected series, I would be bummed out.
  12. Just as an update, I ended up getting the Tp Link Deco BE85. It ticks all the boxes for now and will hold me into the future for a fair bit considering that these will hold me over when things start to slide into Wifi 7 compatibility. The Deco95 ultimately only offers an additional wireless band and for the price increase and the fact I would have to import these as they are only in the US, it just didn't make sense. I will give some feedback once I have set them up and played around with them a little but.
  13. I personally wouldn't have the time But someone else might be able to. Have you never watercooled before ? Outside of AIO I mean. I only ask because if you have, creating your own AIO would be relatively simple.
  14. Nobody will be able to objectively tell you what TDP your setup will be able to handle, too many factors such as ambient temp, airflow factors, fan type, case , cable management, GPU positioning etc Ultimately you should just go with the TDP rating of the cooler, not what fans you will use or case modifications you make. TDP ratings are king. Assuming you get a cooler with a TDP greater than your CPU output, then you are looking good. Any other changes you make to improve airflow in your case or using better fans with a push pull config will aid in your cooling but these changes are supplimentry and shouldn't be relied on to give you adequate overall cooling.
  15. I wouldn't delid it just based on the fact the CPU has a high failure rate and once delidded there is no way Intel would honour a replacement.
  16. That info does not seem to be readily available, at least in text form. I did not watch any of the review videos. I would suggest contacting TCL support for your answers.
  17. Look in the AMD Overclocking section in the BIOS and look within PBO (Precision Boost Optimizer) section and here you can set the values to either manual or set it to motherboard limits etc.
  18. Thanks, moved. I might setup another section in the future but chit chat is fine for questions.
  19. We have made a change whereby users editing a rig that contains a component field that has a description over the character limit, a more correct and descriptive error will appear.
  20. https://www.sansuiproducts.com/images/specsheets/S55V1UA.pdf It is indeed only USB 2.0
