  1. I love seeing these pop up on Ebay. It is sometimes tempting to jump on it, but at $800 you are paying the "rarity" tax in my humble opinion. I would pay a certain amount for a good case but that's a stretch too far lol.
  2. Hey guys. It is hard to find as I recently edited out Dark Mode from the Premium Packages (Early Yesterday) as I am moving this out of premium and into the free domain as its been on my mind for a while to make this change. This should be completed over the coming days Cheers, E
  3. Hello all, This is a quick note to announce that we have moved the Dark Theme feature away from Premium Accounts and we have now made it openly available to all. You can enable the Dark Theme via your account settings HERE. All the best, E
  4. Hello all, Based on past and recent feedback, we have made some alterations to the site to enable you to hide the red counter in the Navbar that keeps track of your unread items, for reference, please see below. You can disable/enable the counter via your account settings here: https://extremehw.net/settings/nav-bar/ Thanks all, E
  5. You can now find this ability here : https://extremehw.net/settings/nav-bar/
  6. While not 100% related, I understand that not all users will want to see the red counter in their NavBar area, so we are looking at introducing an option that allows users to hide it should they wish to
  7. It can be for advanced users if you wish to make use of the advanced features, but you do not have to and you can still benefit from its features over the stock firmware and simply flash the firmware and go and use it like any other router. I just think its important to note that ASUSMERLIN is super easy to use, but only more taxing if you really want to dive into it
  8. AC or bust. Heck my small home office gets warm with a fraction of the hardware!
  9. This red circle by default will show all unread items across the whole forum, which you have now configured the way you want which is good. You still get notifications by default for content you have started or posted in via the notification bell, at the top right. so whatever you are partaking in will not get lost anywhere else. So you should be all good. Using a new site can sometimes be jarring.
  10. While I am not recommending a particular router at this stage, if you do go ASUS, I would highly recommend that you get one compatible with ASUSWRT-Merlin which are Firmwares based on the Asus releases but with better enhancements, additional features & proper bug fixes and just general improvements. I would check it out here: Home | Asuswrt-Merlin WWW.ASUSWRT-MERLIN.NET I like Asus Routers, but I wont buy it unless it is supported by ASUSWRT-Merlin, that is how much I prefer their firmwares. You can also check out their enhancements list here. Features | Asuswrt-Merlin WWW.ASUSWRT-MERLIN.NET
  11. Hey, are you referring to the big red counter on the Navbar ?

  14. Yeah this is not really valves lookout. It is not practical to support legacy software indefinitely.
  15. Certainly an impressive looking engine so far as visuals and looks to make game development easier going by the environment generation in the video. I know if I was a game dev, I would appreciate that.
  16. I loved L4D 1&2. I would enjoy seeing a 3rd but as others have said, I will believe it when its on my game library. Valve have left old school breadcrumbs in game text files for ages, certainly not indicative of actual ongoing development... unfortunately. I have to admit, im annoyed by Valve. They could of been such a leading game developer but from the outside...they just got sort of lazy. Even Counter Strike 2 stinks of laziness....its just Counter Strike with a graphical facelift, nothing "New" in the slightest, going by what I have seen so far. Stuck in the past. I gave up hope on HL3 ages ago, along with anything new from Valve Really sucks, they had a short lived golden era.
  17. As a Plex user, I found the artificial limitation of max streams to be overly annoying. There are plenty of cheap GPU's available for things such as Plex but the limited max concurrent streams always pushed you up the line to the more expensive GPU. This of course is great for Nvidia. However power to them for deciding to relax this, ultimately they didn't have to.
  18. I will take a look at that, expensive but looks like a decent product. Lastly....trust you guys to ruin a good thing lol. As soon as I posted this topic and looked at the title, I figured the smutty minds would cone out of the wood work
  19. So after looking into it, its not a case that it was not working, it is the case that the "Images" Tab is designed to show loose images uploaded to the gallery that are not part of an album. So it is working as intended, the old plugin would simply take all the images in the gallery and show them outside of the albums.
  20. Hey guys, Just out of interest, when you replace the lubricant inside a fan that's become a little tired, what do you guys usually go for ? Thanks, E
  21. Getting the older gen Extremes/Xeons is a really cost effective way of packing in the cores. I did the same for my TrueNas Scale server not too long ago, cant say much to the Overclocking but you went a good route:)
  22. Odd, will double check. Originally Image Tabs in a user profile didn't exist and for a while now, a plugin was required. However the base platform software as of the recent update added this feature....that is why the two duplicate tabs appeared. So ultimately the plugin is now deprecated and disabled but unsure why that would have any affect on the other image tab. Will look into it. Should be an easy fix.
