  1. I can't see those RAM specs being an issue, even with the older Gen Ryzen. However, have you tried the system running non XMP profile to see if the issue stops ? I assume everything is running stock when testing? Lastly, have you tried the latest BIOS or even perhaps flashing back to an older BIOS closer to the later end of the Ryzen 2600X life ? I have seen newer BIOS versions with newer AGESA focus on newer CPU's at the detriment of older CPU's. I have found that to be rare but not impossible.
  2. Yeah that perf/watt is not awesome. Especially at the moment with the price of energy....here in the UK at least.
  3. Every little helps bud. To be honest for point chasing, Nvidia is the better choice unfortunately. I wish AMD GPU's had the same good fortune as you can pick them up at a good price.
  4. Oh nice, glad you got It all sorted and fired up
  5. That is one of our goals, a family like community. We are glad to have you with us!
  6. We have a pretender! I mean, I am folding but my username is all caps....though oddly I'm not on the table at all yet.
  7. I assume you mean just showing a 4K image or streaming 4K. No encoding or decoding?
  8. Welcome to EHW, thanks for swinging by our community and pitching in
  9. Cheers Worth the investment bud. While I tried to get a 10Gbe card to work in it (Should I get above 1Gb Internet one day), it would not have it and after a lot of effort, decided it was easier to go with the I350-T4. I am sure you could get it to work once you tied down the right model and go through the effort, but the Speeds I get from my ISP (1GB) is more than enough anyway. You can pick up the HP Thin Clients on Ebay for dirt cheap, the I350-T4 is also really cheap but fantastic, I mainly got it as most of the Intel NIC's have acceleration on them which is important for things like network inspection etc (Suricata). otherwise you can end up with a bottleneck. I went with as much RAM as I did as I was not sure how many services I would be putting through it and the overhead. I run Suricata, pfBlockerNG. Squid Proxy Server with a large amount of host lists etc and I only hit 13% usage lol. So yeah, 8GB would see you more than comfortable. You would also get away with 4GB likely.
  10. Odd, must be something from the last platform update. Will look into it Thanks for reporting.
  11. Welcome to our corner of the internet!
  12. Hey man, I just work here....I don't make the rules
  13. Will have to raise those taxes for better roads!
  14. Anonymity is your friend. Fixed....
  15. This game will never die lol with your good ole modders. That being said I would love to see an "Official" remake of Half Life using todays game engines and features...I would be all over that!
  16. Well this was always going to happen. However I would like to see if the AI element can do intelligent CPU scheduling, possibly better than your more "Rigid Code" schedulers.
