Not wrong, but... I'd been expecting AMD, Intel, and nVidia all to eventually start parallel-marketing not-quite-Enterprise GPUs to 'prosumers' and 'power users'. IMO, The (initial) premium was fairly reasonable-seeming, compared w/ previous gen's W7*00 Radeon PRO. IIRC, R9700 has ECC VRAM. So, it's not quite literally a 32GB 9070XT 300W TGP; close tho.

Vape Fluid Warps The Skulls of Fetal Mice, Study Shows
LabRat replied to bonami2's topic in Technology and Science
Propylene Glycol and Glycerin have been long-identified as genotoxic and fertility-affecting. Ironically, they're also 'GRAS' (Generally Recognized As Safe) and are ingredients in many medications, foods, drinks, and topical products. As far as pregnancy goes, pretty much any Alkaloid use is a no-go. Nicotine, Caffeine, even (pseudo)ephedrine should probably be avoided. How it gets into the body, becomes somewhat a moot point...- 1 reply

toms hardware Igor's Lab uncovers 'hotspot issue' affecting all RTX 50-series GPUs
LabRat replied to pio's topic in Hardware News
Incredible. This GeForce 5000series is panning out even worse than their FX5000s. TBQH at this point, it's looking like this was a 'holdover' generation, and nVidia does not want to be competing with their own (used) product, come next-gen. -
Time will tell how it all 'weighs out' but, for the moment everything going on/in the market is kinda goin' nuts. Intriguing. Added ya. Any notable mods to the XTX? (like, Pio's Nitro+ flashed Pulse.) I'd consider notating clocks, etc. but I've had my GRE and XTX both be stable and clock seemingly by mood, and definitely by-ambients and load type. It'd be a mess... but, I'm open to suggestions.

I'd bet this is real, and a late-ES unit. Alternatively, these were made for a particular OEM/SI.

Go check out BH Photo Video. IIRC Day 1, they were charging $800-1k+ for 9070s. [they're all OOS now] Me too, but I cannot complain too much after observing 'market trends' 1st hand, the past 2+ decades. At least @ Newegg, I don't recall seeing a Sapphire XT @ MSRP, ever. IIRC, XFX, Gigabyte, PowerColor and ASrock did tho. -they were gone instantly. [The XTs took ~3mins to clear out, the non-XTs about 5-8mins] Memory's a bit hazy; I stayed up until 6a release day. At least you 'needed' a PSU, so it wasn't entirely a forced purchase. The way I'd look @ it, $85 for the PSU and anything over that was premium atop the 9070XT. Which, puts the RX 9070 XT you bought, at about $755 before tax and shipping.... Newegg|BHPhotoVideo|BestBuy IIRC, that Corsair Pio got, *should* be a CWT unit.

With the final release of RDNA (4.0) now upon us and UDNA on the horizon, I believe it's as good of a time as ever to start an Owner's Clubhouse. tweaktown AMD rumored to be cooking 'Ultimate Navi 48' GPU
LabRat replied to pio's topic in Rumour Mill
Not impossible. -'sounds a bit like the HD 4870->4890 or HD 7970->7970Ghz Ed. Personally, my money's on either: Radeon RX 9070 XTX or Radeon AI Max* 9070 32GB *If AMD creates another SKU lineup for AI @ Home consumers, I'd expect them to continue with that branding into UDNA. -
That sounds familiar, but I'm not seeing that come up on desktop, using Brave. What device and browser are you using?

Creative solution. If it works, it works. I like it. I've never seen an app to do that, but those changes can be made in most Android phone's factory ROM's 'settings' menu. It's under advanced settings for a given network, IIRC. I suppose a 'plus' with a 'network config app' would be auto-downloading and auto-reconfiguring on a new/other device when logged into your account (or, when manually migrating the app)

IDK if you ever got your fan control situation handled, but... There are mini-4pin to 4-pin PWM Fan Header adapters and splitters. If you bond/daisy chain all the PWM fans together*, you can use something like this: *Note: Do not bond the RPMsense line. Typically, a single rotation is signal'd by a 'double pulse' at TTLs voltage levels. 2 (or more) fan motors will never be perfectly in-sync, and you'll get *wild* RPM readings. -Also, if your given fan(s) do not use the same 'method' for signaling RPM, you'll get whacky RPM readings, too. Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM -just... double-check the pinout vs. the factory fan(s). IIRC nV and AMD cards use a different pinout, same connector. Do note: These 'micro 4pin's are easy to re-pin, even w/ household objects as tools (larger gauge sewing needles, smaller-tip flathead screwdrivers, small knife blades, etc.)

3 Options that I know from experience will accomplish your stated goal: 1. Remove/disable Google Services, 2. Use an Android ROM* that doesn't have integral Google Services. 2. Disable (turn off) Wi-Fi. Any of those options, will end up w/ reduced functionality of an Android device. -Even in a 'fully functional' AOSP ROM*, you will likely find certain 'expected features' may not work. (For Example, most Banking Apps and any other 'high security' high-fingerprinting apps.) There may be ways to specifically block/disable that one aspect, but 'casting' is so intrinsically-linked with the Google Services, that either A. the 'fix' won't 'stay fixed' or B. Other Google Services-dependent apps will break. is likely. *IMHO, the easiest option would be a ~$100-150 used or NewOldStock Google Pixel and installation of GrapheneOS.
