  5. Alot of people have issues getting the memory "up to speed" if you will because that was with the early ddr3 for nvidia that used higher voltages and the boards are defaulted to that to start. (the sticks made for the nvidia 790i chipset = 1.7v 2000Mhz with a green heat spreader) Other 2000Mhz memory was 2.0v at the time. Might be why the newer 1.3 volt memory has issues?
  6. The problem with the x5472 and x5492 is that they are already 1600MHz cpu's so the OC headroom is slim to none.
  7. Glad the major stuff missed you. The storms hit OK with High winds and pouring rain on their way out to you off and on throughout the day before they worked themselves up to go do some shyte in other states so we were lucky.Insurance isn't gonna try the act of God route with ya are they?
  8. What alot of people don't realize is that the storm that produced the tornado that took out a swath 275 miles long ALSO produced different individual tornadoes afterwards "The same storm that produced the historic long-track Mayfield tornado also dropped a tornado that tracked through Ohio, Breckenridge, and Grayson Counties. And a seperate tornado in Spencer County." Plus there was a different Storm that dropped a couple of tornadoes in Bowling green and Hart county. Screenshots countain written details of damage of Bowling Green storms. When I first moved to Oklahoma from the North East I was watching a storm cloud system in the back parking lot where I live and a new friend asked me what I was doing. I said looking at the awesome clouds. He told me to get inside cause that was a tornado forming.... you could actually see the clouds moving in 2 different directions mixing together above & below each other.
  9. The 790i is happy with the xeon mod, for an example here's a striker II Extreme with a x5470 OC'd to between 4.5-4.6Ghz with a pair of 980ti's running. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti video card benchmark result - Intel Xeon Processor X5470,ASUSTeK Computer INC. STRIKER II EXTREME WWW.3DMARK.COM Intel Xeon Processor X5470, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti x 2, 8192 MB, 64-bit Windows 7} @Laithan will recognize his machine & score I'm sure
  10. If you have issues, I have a good q6600 you're welcome to if needed. It came on a board I'd bought for a xeon mod build a few years back.
  11. lol, I know, they had a bunch of free to play games in the list also, but Epic's also getting THEIR holiday party started with mystery games being given away also.
  12. Ok, BACK to original subject of this thread, free games at Ubisoft Free Events FREE.UBISOFT.COM game Anno 1404 History edition and others that may be free anyway.
  13. Arriving today cat 6 cables to connect consoles to the switch I picked up on black friday. Only a 400Mbps max service but used a cat 7 cable to run the 100 feet to the main router.A 3 ft cat 7 cable connects the router to the cable modem. Thinking of leaving the 1 xbox on wifi cause it gets almost the same speeds as the wired ps4.
  14. Mine did also, had to run "The Microsoft PC Health Check App (Windows 11 Compatibility Checker) allows you to check if your PC meets all the requirements needed to run the new Windows 11. If so, you can get a free upgrade when it rolls out." It was in the Windows Update section and showed that trusted computing needed to be turned on in my bios. scrn shows ryzen cpu in the system.
  15. They've been throwing it at me everytime I start my comp ever since I enabled the trusted computing part of the amd cpu in the bios. I figure I'll wait until they get everything smoothed out and the new drive installed at least before I upgrade.
  16. Wait, didn't Intel stop calling them nm's? thought they were 7+ or something (sounds like a womans dress size but hey....)
  17. (sigh) I had to tell the door dash guy that no one lived in the apt across from me as he was taking a picture of the order on the hallway floor he was leaving yesterday. He looked again & realized he was leaving it at apt 1017 instead of down the hall where the people who ordered it live. I can just see the self driving car trying to deliver my pizza to the 10th floor.....
  18. Played more dying light 'Cause they had another community event.:) Give Techland this, they give the people their monies worth. Was also more added to Hellraid in it. an example of recent events in the screenshot...
  19. NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch - Newegg.com WWW.NEWEGG.COM Buy NETGEAR 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS305) - Desktop, Sturdy Metal Fanless Housing with fast shipping and... Gonna wire the wife's xbox one s,series s,ps3 along with the ps4 that's already wired. They're all within 10 feet of each other so I figure mount this puppy on the wall behind them, run the original ps4 Cat8 line into it, then just run lines into each box. Sound about right?
  20. Just ordered this yesterday, cyber sale price was $89.99 regular listed was $119.99, and now it's listing at $129.99 lol. Got this one 'Cause it was 1000 MB/s faster(possibly) than the WD Blue SN550 and Crucial was also a well known name to me. Plus,it has a slightly better warranty. Both have 5 year, but the Crucial has a max 600TBW while the WD SN550 has a max 400TBW. Including the WD warranty specs if anyone needs them for various drives.Edit: The WD Black SN750 is listing for about $95 and has the same warranty specs & speeds as the crucial if anyone's looking. I just needed to upgrade the 120Gb drive my OS is on.
  21. I know this is an old thread, but I recently had an issue where my comp was running fine, had updated the bios, ran it with the new bios for several days, then after a windows update BAM it couldn't find my OS. It showed the drive, but had changed the data about what all was on it and boot order in the bios. I finally swapped it to the other NVME slot in case it was an issue with the primary and it read it properly again,BUT it shows the old bios ver again. had updated from ver.31 to 40,to 50. ran ver.50 with no issues until this happened. Gonna put the drive back into the primary slot after the holidays and see if it works in there again.
  22. Was just saying there's no telling what was in a Russian Sat from the 80's when we were trying to get SDI off the ground. Paranoia ran deep in those days.
  23. This is a possible response to what was quoted... A look at President Reagan's Star Wars program, 33 years later - We Are The Mighty WWW.WEARETHEMIGHTY.COM Thirty-three years ago, the Star Wars program was easily the most elaborate and complex defense system ever conceived. Read about it... On March 23, 1983, President Reagan proposed the creation of the Strategic Defense Initiative.
  24. I think we're gonna see them as long as the info isn't suppressed.(How long did they figure Intel knew about the Meltdown and Spectre?) Also, the first 6 months of 2021 saw 132 "vulnerabilities" being addressed by Intel. So it's just Tit for Tat...
