  1. Someday I'd like to create a full inventory of all my PC and watercooling stuff. As well as some more in depth flow charts just to be able to easily visualize what all I have going on. The 2080 has been doing alright. I preordered a new monitor and it won't be able to run the new refresh rate. Still 1440p but 280hz instead of the 165hz it's pushing now. I already have a waterblock for a reference 6900xt so that's why I'm going for that. When I first setup my sim rig, I was using a 5600x and crossfire 7970 GHz cards. Since Assetto Corsa supports Crossfire, it actually ran great. Forza was unplayable though. The 2080 will be a big step up for the sim rig. Also the 11900K and B-die at 4200cl16 should help too lol. Some people might dog on your moms setup for being FX, but I picked up a 9590 and Crosshair V Formula Z for the last HWBOT team cup and I was impressed with how well the system ran. It's actually the first FX setup I've owned but it's one of my favorite combos now.
  2. Pretty much all of my builds are smaller form factor. I keep a separate mechanical numpad for times when I need that. At the same time I ordered the Mini Cat 64 I ordered a Portico75. So I'll post that when it shows up and I put it together. It was around the same price, but should be a bit nicer board. It was the practical option until I saw the other one on Amazon.
  3. The 2080 will be pushing 2560x1440 while it's in my room, then 3840x1080 when it moves to my racing sim. I do have the Forza games, but I mostly play Assetto Corsa on the sim which runs fine on lesser hardware. Got several waterblocks in the mail today. The new 2080 block, a Heatkiller IV CPU block, and a vintage XSPC Delta CPU block that I found BNIB on ebay. Also not pictured a Thermochill TA120.4 radiator. I also whipped up a bit of an outline for the current state of my builds and my intended plans for them
  4. No leotard, but I do have leopard print swim trunks and I'll be hand delivering the new keyboard to her in Florida... So we can probably get a photoshoot lined up
  5. So when I built my little sister a PC I let her take my Anne Pro (60%). She said she likes it but wished it had a few more buttons like arrows. Say less fam Epomaker Mini Cat 64 Kailh speed silver switches YMDK plum blossom keycap set The keycap set doesn't accommodate for nonstandard layouts like 1u shift.. So it's not perfect but I didn't want to blow more on a custom keycap set than the whole board cost. Cuteness turned up to 11 Has arrow keys Gets rid of switches I'll never use
  6. It's my worst addiction... I just slapped a big ole honkin Thermalright air cooler on a 12700k for a build I'm doing for my roommate. After seeing how cool and quiet it was I really asked myself why the hell do I watercool everything.
  7. Well you will get to see the system watercooled with the side panel on. However, I doubt the 6900xt will ever live in this case. I'm going to move the 2080 over and watercool the system with that. When I get a 6900xt, I'll also get another motherboard and move it all back into the D-Frame Mini. Even though that's an ITX case it supports full ATX power supplies. Since it's been a couple years since the 2080 has been apart, I picked up a new Heatkiller block to replace the Barrow block that's on it now. Should be here tomorrow.
  8. I just used the Shizuku version out of habit. After I had the draft up I realized that I might get yelled at for it since it's not exactly in line with the theme of the site. I guess since I'm the token "gamer girl" I get the kawaii pass I used the pricing that was provided in the review guide but noticed that the 2TB is listed now on their site for $164.99 which is closer to where it should be.
  9. I'm pretty happy with where the 7900xtx is sitting right now. Considering this is their first stab at the chiplet GPU and this early on its already beating the 4080. I think it will be a monster once the drivers mature a bit. My roommate is going to get one for his VR sim racing build. So I'll be sure to play with it on the test bench since I'll probably end up building the PC anyway. We do have a Microcenter near us, but won't be camping out trying to get one at launch.
  10. Glad someone noticed Also glad it was the first thing that came up when I searched for "stripper song" because I couldn't remember the name and figured I might get a lot of random results
  11. A lot of my old stories rely on state dependent memory. So, due to the lack of drugs and/or alcohol I'm not not going to dive into much of those. In the spirit of being a weirdo, I did just dig out my old strip club veteran hat and a PBR. When I was maybe a sophomore in high school I dated a girl for a couple weeks. She got jealous of a one of my female friends (It was genuinely a platonic friendship) and dumped me. We did get back together briefly but it didn't work out. Fast forward a few years and she hits me up out of the blue. Says I should come see her at work. Turns out she had become a stripper. At that point in time being the frugal man I was, I had only partaken in such nightlife once or twice. Turns out it's a lot more fun when you get the VIP experience. AKA no cover charge, free drinks, free lap dances from all the other strippers that are her friends. Eventually my friends and I go from hanging out with all the strippers at the club, to hanging out with them at Miss Molly the ecstasy queen's house... I'll leave the rest up to imagination.
  12. Read the complete review HERE. What do we think of the MP600 GS 2TB PCIe 4.0 (Gen 4) x4 NVMe M.2 SSD, Good for the price ? But what about the absence of the DRAM, would this be a deal breaker for you ?
  13. Just tried it out. I went with 3840x1440 borderless window. DLSS enabled, DLSS mode balanced, ultra presets. I average around 37-45FPS depending on the level. That's with a custom loop 3090, 5900x, and 32GB of 3600cl14. The game looks good at those settings but not mind blowing. I was fully expecting to be able to do at least 4K60 on my setup when I first heard about Portal RTX.
  14. I've been playing around with the A770 a bit more. In addition to running a bit better with the new driver I did experience one other really nice change. RDP now works correctly!
  15. So I have a lot of electronics in my bedroom and it's all on the same circuit. The current PC in there is an i9 10850k with an RTX 2080. I want more GPU performance and to maintain decent CPU performance while overall using the same or less total electrical power draw. The setup I decided to go for is a 7700x in eco mode with a reference 6900xt with a mild undervolt. The current build uses an Inwin D-Frame Mini with a MO-RA3. So I was looking to just grab a B650 ITX board since I won't be doing anything crazy. And then I went to Microcenter... The only ITX board they had was the Asus X670E-I Strix. I really didn't want to drop $500 on a board. SO instead I bought an open box Crosshair X670E Gene for $360 Problem being that it wont fit in the D-frame. So I considered hitting up to see if Inwin was still cool to send out an A3 for review. In the meantime I hopped on BidFTA snagged this cheap ZZAW B3. Some Aliexpress special but hey an all aluminum case for $15, I'm not complaining. I tossed it together my Arc A770 and a Corsair SF600 Plat. It has a tempered glass side panel but Aside from a Wraith Stealth which I didn't even consider, the Thermalright True Spirit 120 REV.B Ultimate was the smallest air cooler I had laying around and it's too tall for the case. At this point I think the plan is going to move the 2080 into this build and watercool the system. After the new AMD GPUs release I'll finally try and snag a used 6900xt for cheap. Pick up a B650 ITX board for the 7700x and put it back in the D-Frame. Then Grab a 7900X3D for the Gene and use it as the test bench PC. Here's how it sits for now. I picked up one of the Barrow CPU blocks with the integrated DDC since there isn't any room to mount any of my D5 combos.
  16. Just tried and so far I can't get F@H to work with the Arc. Only detects CPU. When I go to slots and manually add a GPU it comes up as disabled.
  17. Y'all already know I'm in. Might not have all the firepower online by then. Pulling apart two rigs to rob parts to build my mom a PC, then upgrading those rigs. All of which are SFF/ITX rigs and two of the three will have custom loops so idk how fast I'll turn all that around. May just run the 7700x + A770 air cooled for a while but I'm pretty sure F@H doesn't support Arc yet.
  18. Ok, but can we have a rundown on what is in your torturer bag?
  19. They won't be that limited lol. Think more along the lines of participation award. For now I'm just talking about stickers of the existing logo. If I were to come up with something original, I'd run it by E for approval before making anything.
  20. Fine. I'll come up with a super limited run of stickers and/or vinyl decals. The catch is that I'll only offer them as foldathon prizes.
  21. I actually was interested in the O11 when it first came out. Most people went with the dynamic but they made an air version at one point. I held up hope the new PC v3000 would come out and eventually gave up and got other cases entirely.
