  2. Hi Guys, looking for some information's, advice, experience about the MORPHEUS 8069. Im tempted to pull the trigger on it with a pair of Phanteks T30... But as it is not cheap (more than 200 EUR) i wanted to throw in the room the following: 1, Compatibility - Classic layout of PCB - as the XFX is not the standard AMD layout it should not be fitting, but as the cooler is mounted just with the 4 screws and the positioning of the wholes look the same it could work? Any thoughts? 2, Back-plate - there is a recommendation to keep the original one but i assume it would be looking like a ship from Star trek Enterprise look. (which could be cool or as well not idk..) But are there any aftermarket back-plates made for the XFX 6900 XT Merc 319 ? 3, Would be the Phanteks T30 the best you can put on it? I watched some reviews and im kind of surprised that there are not more information's about it... I found it just by coincidence as i was wondering if there are any third party air coolers out there and have to say that Raijintek is the only i found... Had one back in the day with my R9 290 and was happy with he performance but it looks that there are not much interest in it.. Thought as well to buy a XFX 7900 cooler from someone who would WC his card, as they changed/improved the vapor chamber of the cooler. But the wholes are not fitting.. Would be interested to see if the "Improvement" improves anything at all in regards to the old design.. So yeah if you have any advice/information/recommendation or experience to share, then please do so.. Looking forward to it. Wish you all a nice day ahead.. BR, MM
  3. And I thought that noctua will be the first with this technology

This annual contest, which began in 2009... Didn't knew there is such a thing, but i rly like it ... are there more competitions like that? Not to take part but to get inspired (at least for me )
  5. Hi there, got an update on the stands, but dont want to hijack this thread anymore - Custom case stands for Caselabs SM8 Sorry for being off-topic before
  6. Dear "DoItYourSelf" corner as you know or saw in a different thread (Caselabs: CaseLabs is back) i was thinking of replacing the original rubber/plastic case stands. They were for my taste to short and in my opinion the case deserves nicer stands. Asking for some recommendations lead me to the same results i saw already many times in different variants. Thank you all for the recommendations but it was not fulfilling my expectations/needs. All are to like 20mm i wanted like 40mm. You get some versions for the "Audiophile" equipment - but it is either with spikes ( which would be a pain in the ass if you try to position the case on a desk on the platforms) or with like balls - but its always like 2 pieces of 1 stand. Not mentioning the price tags of 80 - 500 USD/EUR which is insane ( at least in my opinion ). So I started to ask around if someone in my surroundings could produce me some stands out of Aluminium billets. Was as well asking for copper version which could be interesting, but the material is to expensive.... I just defined the measurements and design and here is the raw product: As you can see on the bottom is as well the funnel shape of the hole, so the screws hide inside of the stand. The cost for that was 40 EUR. Here is an pic next to the case, as you can see they are a bit more massive Anyway i was thinking if i keep them as they were (matt and 2 shiny lines) or to polish them or make any texture/pattern on them... So i was youtube-googling for inspirations and looking for something i like but as well enough skilled to do it my self. And i came across to a swirl pattern i liked. Never done it, had many test attempts but finally found a working way and the result is as follow: As the stands are solid Alluminium, and i dont want to have my table full of scratches i put on the bottom some sticker fleece which you can buy in any hobby-market where one side is glued like a sticker. Had to cut it round and did as well a cross cut in the middle for the screws. And here is the final Product: And here you can see before and after I have to say they are really "BIG", maybe they could be a bit shorter, but ill keep them for now. I can cut them anytime Anyway, regarding the investement it was 40 EUR for the stands, like 4 EUR for the fleece (but i got a big sheet so have for future use for chairs or as an isolation material for the sub woofer ), about 50 cent for 4 screws, some gas and some time invested. So in total lets round it up to 50-55 EUR max? But im kinda happy with he result! Had some fun with it and you know what is the best on custom? Its unique bcs its yours! Let me know what you think about it, or if you have any advice Thanks, MM
  7. Exactly what i thought... just wanted you to inform all.... Better safe then sorry...

  9. So again i had some fun with my 6900 XT and was curious if changing thermal pads will make a difference on my card (was just bored to be honest...) I found this thermal pads - GPURisers 20 W/mK Thermal Pads and found as well just some information's or reviews on them like: Kritical 20W/mK pads vs GPUriser 20W/mK pads Originally i wanted to buy the Kritical Pads, but they were sold out and the PGURISERS were on stock in UK so it was for me a clear decision... As usual i made a temp testing before the change: GPU Temp: 62 C GPU Memory Junction: 64 C GPU Hot Spot: 75 C I forgot to get more pictures of the replacing at it self, as i was already to inpatient and wanted to see the results ASAP For this reason i could not do any kind of reviews, I'm not patient enough lol... Respect to all reviewers on this place Just to explain, i got the following information's from XFX about the pads thickness: Front: VRM 1.5mm , 2mm VRAM 1mm Back VRM 1.5 mm GPU, VRAM 3mm I as well repasted the GPU about 6-8 months ago with LM and as you can see there is no corrosion on the cooler at all which means its copper Anyway here are the results after the exchange of the pads: GPU Temp: 59 C GPU Memory Junction: 72 C GPU Hot Spot: 71 C Compared after the test the results and noticed that the GPU Memory Junction temp increased by 8 degrees while all other temps were down by around 4 degrees on the GPU Hot Spot and 2 degrees on the rest. So i just took it appart and could see that on the Memory modules are no imprints on the Pads. So i just replaced the original 1mm thickness by 1,5mm pads and tested it again. GPU Temp: 60 C GPU Memory Junction: 62 C GPU Hot Spot: 72 C This time the temps looked OK and the final result is basically 2 - 2,4 degrees on the Memory and VRM... The decrease on the GPU hot spot could be a result of dipping a bit more LM on the cooler and I guess it has now a better contact with the chip... So im happy with the result in the end, now i just hope they will not degrade that fast but time will show. Any experience on your side ppl? in general what is a good result in Degrees for changing pads on the GPU? Thanks for any input
  10. Hi All is there any third party comparission of the RX7900xtx cards? Are you guys happy with the XFX cards you got? Did someone repaste/re-pad them? Results?
  11. Guys have fun and good luck on this one cant join you as you picked exactly the timeframe where im out of town anyway looking forward to be more present on the monthly ones….

With the ES Orbiter 360 TS, Alphacool introduces a compact external cooling system. The powerful ES Orbiter is equipped with two NexXxoS Full Copper radiators of the... Back to the future # Zalman Reserator & Zalman Reserato XT It was an old wish / dream / idea to have the side panel same as the front panel of the reserator XT - the black smoked chrome of the gauges and the brushed aluminium If you guys by any chance have the panel somewhere and dont need it, then let me know would gladly buy it!
  13. first of all thank you for stopping by and honoring my request Yes i tried the new toys and installed they look as follow: Now to the data of the measurement's: The default was this time the old model of the 3D printed Ducs presented in the posts before: CPU package MAX: 77 C GPU Hotspot MAX: 65 C DIMMS MAX: 34.3 C M2 SSD: 38 C Now with new design with the "bite outs" : CPU package MAX: 77 C GPU Hotspot MAX: 63 C DIMMS MAX: 34 C M2 SSD: 37 C And Finally the new design with the linear bottom: CPU package MAX: 75 C GPU Hotspot MAX: 63 C DIMMS MAX: 33,8 C M2 SSD: 37 C So yes the last Test has the best results but it could be as well based on the coldest intake temps. Anyway the biggest impact are not on the temps but on the noise. Noise of the turbulences went significantly down, you can still hear them on the higher fan speeds but its not much louder as the airflow or the fan noise at it self. I dont have any data or measurement results on this topic as I'm lacking the right instruments. Still have to try out the case split - GPU part from the CPU part... But it will take a bit more time as got a bit busy lately.... Now am i missing something here? Any recommendations? Please let me know. - any idea, recommendation or advice is very welcomed
  14. basically very similar design, but instead almost 80 USD i paid 40 EUR - they are custom hand made (you can see it on the rills as they are not the same - but its mine so i don't care :P) and the diameter is 50mm and 40 mm height which should be twice the height (if my calculations are right)compared to the MNPCTECH.... will post some pics after i get it installed ... Maybe i will try to get on it a brushed look but lets see..
  15. first pics of the custom Aluminum stands for my SM8.. Copper would be insane expensive so for this Aluminum.. but full solid
  16. just not to double post but wanted you to let know as its mostly relevant here ....
  17. Alphacool Releases XFX RX 7900 XTX Speedster MERC 310 Water Block WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM Even more performance now also for RX 7900XTX Merc 310 GPU! Alphacool expands the assortment with the new and innovative Eisblock Aurora cooler for active water cooling of AMD RX 7900XTX... Kinda missing this for the 6900XT series, but hey its a step forward
  18. Yes, true, appreciate and like the review. But its not the information im looking for.. I know im looking for a needle in a ocean... Too specific, I get it, but im kind of missing the point of all reviews so far. While in every CPU/GPU you get a comparison included to the predecessor: 10900K vs 11900K, 11900K vs 12900K and so on.... Same with GPUs. In my eyes this logic, makes sense, as well with the fans or anything which is "Evolved" ... Just for the sake to show its an "Evolution" not "Devolution" .... or am I having a wrong conclusion/expectation? Multiple Questions came to my mind as i saw the news about the new Silent Wings 4 (PRO): 1, Will it outperform the predecessor? 2, Will it improve the temps in my PC? 3, if yes and yes - will it be enough to replace the old with new? If im looking at it form the wrong perspective, then please correct me... Thank you very much.
  19. Ladies and Gentleman (always were just approaching the Gents here... this way i want to make it up Ladies, you are as well invited to the conversation...sorry for that ) New toys arrived
  20. Ha, hope you got some good lawyers in your contacts its not a question IF but WHEN it will happen... Its kind off sad that we now laughing at it but we know that the sh.t hits the fan sooner or later
  21. that's interesting... exactly what i use Will for sure investigate a bit further... Thank you very much for that information, had no clue about that! But back to my original request: - are there any comparisons / tests / reviews? Anyone? Would a upgrade make sense/improve the setup? Many thanks.
  22. Hmmm i do believe they find a way to do it same as with Tesla cars - Pay for an update of the driver and you unlock the full amount of Vram on your card... OFC you have to pay for the "update" / upgrade... Or lets call it "Latest optimization" or Support for the latest games... Same "modus operandi" has for example Aida64 I just hope they are not getting inspired by this conversation lol...
  23. Throne and Liberty - should be 2023 but im waiting for the sucessor of L2 since L2
