  1. Thank you everyone for the good turnout. Hope to see you again next month, and hopefully we get our score page fixed soon so we can announce winners
  2. Messing around overclocking this 5600G a bit. I'm nowhere near finding the max benchable settings or a good stable 24/7 yet. These are auto-timings too. Validation says faster than i5-12600 now lol. AMD Ryzen 5 5600G @ 4898.86 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [gsdt6n] Validated Dump by damric (2022-03-26 18:28:33) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB
  3. This little guy arrived yesterday and I just got to install it. Here's stock. I'll see if I have time to tune it up soon. Oddly faster than 5600x according to AMD Ryzen 5 5600G @ 4450.56 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [zq8m2s] Validated Dump by damric (2022-03-25 23:33:50) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB
  4. He told me an RTX 2080, but it might be sharing a purpose with something else.

    Hello

Old, grouchy, that describes this userbase exactly. You'll love it here!
  6. @ENTERPRISE Just clarification, is the 100 winner take all for most Work Units, or shall we split it up a bit? We can wait a couple days to figure it out just in case anyone else is offering cash.
  7. Now that's awesome!!! In the future I'd like to put some good 2nd hand hardware up for prizes too, so expect some communications about that. I know I'm not the only one with idle hardware in the shelf that could be used for fun prizes.
  8. Your ETF hardware and key will count towards this. But if you fold additional hardware under the same name, you need to use a different key. If you need help setting that part up, let me know. @BWG has beat that procedure into my head quite a few times so now I know it like the back of his hand
  9. Yes I want to experiment with the iGPU and the improved memory controller. Later on it will probably end up in another small build though, who knows.
  10. I have a Ryzen 5 5600G coming next week for some abuse on my X470 Taichi. Who knows, maybe that will be my new favorite. $209 at Walmart right now.
  11. It's a dog. It's not stable even at stock. It has no stable overclock head room. It runs hot, even under water at stock. It's only saving grace is that it was a freebie
  12. Welcome to the ExtremeHW Folding Competition, Saturday March 26th - 28th, 12:00 AM UTC (Friday March 25th - 27th, 8 PM EST) Countdown to Event Start Countdown to Event End ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event. In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below. How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username. Prizes: - £25 from @ENTERPRISE x4 Folding Time Prizes: TBD Excluded from Prizes: All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username. Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus. Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that. This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey. Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners. Current Event Stats: Team overall stats Note: Stats are updated every hour at XX:25 for previous hour of submitted Work Units. The first update at 12:25 AM UTC will set the "zero" for your points based on all the WU's submitted up to 12 AM UTC. Good luck to all!
  13. I'm thinking and really I have 3 favorites, all great budget overclockers of course. $99 Phenom II x2 Callisto unlocked to x4 @4GHz $117 Skylake i3-6100 with huge base clock overclock for 4.6GHz $85 Ryzen 5 1600 AF @4.4GHz Those MSRPs I still have 2 of my 1600 AFs and I'm considering swapping the best one back into my main rig because I hate this 2700x
  14. That sounds like a good deal, but if you can't get it, don't worry so much. As far as ex's and bad credit. I know all about that. Around 2009-2010 years ago my credit started to tank due to some bad life decisions. I had lots of unsecured debt, like credit cards, and I was being sued. About 4 years ago I decided I was going to try and fix my credit. I got something called a secured credit card from my credit union. It was just for like $200 or something small I don't remember, but I had to put that money down. Then I had to use the card once in a while, and make payments for 1 year to get the $200 back and the card to become unsecured. They really liked me so they actually let it go in 6 months and they raised the limit to $600 (and they put the 200 back in my savings). From then on I would buy something every month, and always make more than the minimum payment every month. Then every year they raised the limit (I have never asked). Now it's like $5k, a good interest rate, and I just checked my credit and it's pretty descent again, around 785. I think a lot of the old trash in my credit report finally started falling off. I was also one of the one's who was affected by the equifax breach. I still can't even log in to even check that out and dispute stuff yet. I guess they are still figuring that out for those affected, but I try and check it from time to time to no avail.
  15. Let your captain know if you run into any issues again so he can do a temporary substitution for you to keep the points rolling. Life happens, things break, ect, so no worries.
  16. I can send you a low power card to keep you going. On hand I have a GT 730, and a W4100. The W4100 can overclock near +100% but needs a water block to run it that high. The GT 730 will also OC some. Both are low profile cards that can be fitted with full height brackets, which I think I have. Neither will heat your house up, as they are slot powered, low TDP cards. The W4100 just has a terrible stock cooler only meant to run at stock, but that's only half of its capability for folding. Also pretty much no aftermarket coolers fit the damn thing without cutting them to pieces. It's a great ETF card though because the handicap is so high, and you could glue or strap like an old 120mm AIO to it and it would be fine. PM me if you want either. Probably costs less than $10 to ship, otherwise freebies.
  17. Yeah it could be something simple like he has the wrong folding key on that slot.
  18. Congrats everyone. Thank you for participating. I had some hardware problems on my main rig with the 2700x and vega64 constantly crashing or I would have pumped out more a few more wus. I think that freebie 2700x might be a dud since it seems to crash at stock settings when folding. I ended up having to dial in constant clocks and extra voltage to get it to finish the last wus. It just runs hot as hell even under water so probably a very high leakage low quality silicon.
  19. What's going on with you guys? I see @Hacksword has zero points this month. If you need a card, I have a few low power cards I can spare for your team that have good handicaps and overclock very well. Freebies, just pay the shipping.
  20. I'm going to have to shut down after the foldathon is finished. I have some maintenance that needs done and it's going to take longer than the 2 free days allotted. The foldathon has exposed some problems, so I'm going to have to do some tweaking and also some cleaning. I should be back up by the 3rd of March though.
  21. Ok I chatted with axipher. He's going to make this happen for 26th-27th.
