  1. What gave you the itch to start benching and submitting to hwbot? I see you have been busy hard at it since you joined a few months ago.
  2. People running them at max overclock while in dark mode skewed the PPD? But it's weird that there are even 2 entries for the same GPU.
  3. I'd hate to help you guys but you should check with @BWG and be sure that handicap multi is right on that GTX 750 Ti. It seems like it should be a lot higher, like much closer to the huge ass multi that Michele has with her GTX 750. the PPDs are like GeForce GTX 750 Ti Folding@Home PPD Performance - folding.lar.systems FOLDING.LAR.SYSTEMS F@H GeForce GTX 750 Ti performance as of 1/25/2022. Averages across all projects PPD:81,018 - Work Units Per... and GeForce GTX 750 Folding@Home PPD Performance - folding.lar.systems FOLDING.LAR.SYSTEMS F@H GeForce GTX 750 performance as of 1/25/2022. Averages across all projects PPD:69,207 - Work Units Per... So something looks off because your PPDs look right but your handicap multi seems too low? I didn't math it, just estimating.
  4. The great thing about benching older cards on the 3Dmarks is that you get so many extra points for physics with the modern CPUs. It really pads the score. They should really change the rules to just the graphics score but if/until then, run those points up!
  5. I have about 250 stock samples left then I can play around with the overclocking. I'm thinking around Monday or Tuesday it should be ready.
  6. Yeah so many entries! I'll be experimenting them all. Seriously I better be pushing at least 1400MHz and I'm hoping for closer to 1600MHz, under water ofc. I'm ok with pulling 100W on the PCIE slot. I've seen some cards exceed even that, pulling up to 120W during furmark runs. Not a big deal if it explodes while folding, as long as I get some HWBOT points first. I'm about to open up the BIOS you made and snoop around in there.
  7. This is the M2000 stock BIOS if anyone has any ideas of what I should do for tweaking. I don't mind pulling up to 100W from the 75W PCIE slot. gm206.zip
  8. I'm digging these overclocked vintage processors you all are posting.
  9. I swear it's so painful coming from a good sample low end CPU to a mediocre sample high end CPU. This pig 2700x just hates to overclock at all, eats voltage, and runs hot asf compared to that last 1600AF I tested. The best I could do was +voltage offset with +2% base clock on top of "Core Performance Boost". For some reason enabling XFR just makes the motherboard hang with an E6 code no matter what I have tried, and I have sadly put more than 8 hours into this endeavor today. 507 / 5468.1 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4385.44 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [9lm8g9] Validated Dump by damric (2022-01-19 00:02:42) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB
  10. I use 9x 120mm P-fans pushing into the 1080 copper rad I bought from Avacado last year. Do you think adding 9x pull fans will make a difference? If so, would the P-fans be best for pulling or should I get the F-fans for that?
  11. Nice they still have you in the Novice league. You're murdering them lol.
  12. Pretty sure there were some stability issues there. I'm yet to figure out a fast stable configuration for the 2700x for 24/7. Then I'll work on max bench clocks unstable who cares lol. @JosephStewartPE Any comments on the slush fest in NY?
  13. Don't freeze your nuggets off, but that was impressive overclock.
  14. Ok I finally had a few minutes to play with this 2700x. Here's somewhat tuned RAM, Auto core clocks (with core performance boost) +102 base clock. Will try again later after I stability test this setting for RAM. 478/5344 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4309.63 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [pnee9u] Validated Dump by damric (2022-01-15 15:38:27) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB
  15. I installed the 2700x today in my main rig. That thing already runs hot at stock, even under water. I'll fine tune it over the next few days and see what it can do. It did so far work with xmp timings of 3600/16. I'll see if it can do better though. That last 1600AF had a hell of a good IMC.
  16. Is it true that if you try to flash maxwell in windows that you must disable it in device manager first?
  17. Weird I found instances where m4000 was indeed overclocked. If it can't then it will go back to ebay at a loss. I haven't found anything about people trying to oc the m2000 though so I might be first to try. I wish the nvidia stuff was easier to oc. I had great success with the really old Nvidia stuff prior to kepler.
  18. Watching this thread closely as I have Michele's GTX 750 which I'm yet to get over 1425MHz, as well as another Maxwell on the way, a Quadro M2000. The Quadro will most definitely need some BIOS foolery to get clocking.
  19. Closed the heat vents, Opened the windows, shut the door to keep the rest of the house warm, and blew a fan from the windows to my 1080mm radiator for a few hours this morning to get the water nice and COLD. Cold for my city is 45C outside, but hey at least it's not 86F like last week. Cold water helped a lot, and didn't even need as much voltage, but hit the silicon wall at 4462MHz. Single: 515. Multi: 4098. The validator says my 1600 beat the 3600X so I'm happy enough with that. This is the best 1600AF sample I have messed around with. I got a free 2700X from my nephew so I'll be changing out parts soon to play around with that. 20. Battery probably costs more than the card I'm folding on which was $20 on ebay

  22. I mean surely they can afford to at least include a used wraith spire or something to go with the generations old CPU they dug out of the OEM return bin. Seriously though, that store on Thursdays is such a farce yet I can't help but join the queue no matter how futile.

These douchers are giving away a Ryzen 2 CPU and can't be assed to supply even a stock cooler. I hope you enjoy reading my reply as much as I enjoyed typing it.
  24. Well dang. We're having a severe thunderstorm and power went out for half a second, enough to reset every computer in the house. All of my clients were able to save the work units except my etf rig, so probably lost a day's worth of work on this W4100. On the bright side I might have some better cards for the team soon.
