So I've been away most of the time for 3 weeks, which some of you have noticed by the lack of posts and some even messaged me about. I'm glad that project is finished so I've got some time at home again.

My mom messaged me that there was a box waiting at their house for me, and I thought it was backordered watercooling hardware. As a great surprise there was a Silverstone box waiting there for me with the following case inside:

 

A big thanks to Silverstone for donating this case, EHW for hosting this event and everyone participating! 

I have some plans for this case, and I'll make a 'build log' once I start working on it.

I could not resist and gave it a quick teardown. I'm really impressed with how easy it is to work on a small case like this, the options you have and how much space there is for a GPU.

I would like to go AMD for the CPU (5600G?), with a Silverstone 240 AIO or air if I want keep it cheaper. PSU also Silverstone, I need something a little smaller than my spare 850W to fit (almost, just a little tight for the cables).
GPU is either going to be my 3060 or the M40 (iGPU for display), the M40 would be a good idea because that one doesn't play nice with other drivers/cards in my workstation but the 3060 looks way better in there.
As for the motherboard I'm still not sure, it's easy to make it an expensive build with a high end motherboard which I most likely don't need.

Quick mini review.

 

I'm looking for a new set of caps for this, and then it will probably go full time on my KVM.  The function keys and the RGB is in hardware, so I have had no issues testing it plugged in to my KVM and using it with my Linux machines.  There is an open source alternative to Corsair's iCUE software (ckb-next), but it doesn't look like I'll need to run it.  There are a fair number of default RGB profiles, and since RGB will pretty much always be off, the defaults are fine for me.  All of my boards have been browns for a long time, so it is a little weird typing on linear switches.  All in all it is a nice little board and feels solid to type on.
