I'm starting to think maybe we don't need the "new member" threads.

Would it be possible to have one thread that updates when new users join?

Tend to agree with mega on that. Especially with the surge of joiners.

Yes after looking at the Latest block I tend to agree these take up too much space. I will revert these to a single thread later 🙂

😭 home page is still a bit janky

it's level and even at >1440p or at 1440p with <90% browser scaling, but at 1440p @ 100% (and I assume <1440p) the titles can still be too long and cause the different height columns.

image.thumb.png.70b842fc1fcec1faab11eaa46b7d22a7.png

sorry for nit-picking but Â¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@The Pook

I have had the 1440P issue looked at, I have tested on my dev console at that resolution after the fix and it looks ok, would you mind confirming ?

Thanks!

Thanks for confirming. We are still making adjustments so may look janky from time to time.

  • 1 year later...

time to be annoying again :wheee:

the HWBOT sidebar (I think?) brought it out of alignment again, but only for the "Latest Reviews" portion ðŸ¤”

image.thumb.png.d86c16155edc4ec5a594d2a4e1a9a8bb.png

you could swap "written by x" to just "by x", but it might not fix it if someone with a long username submits.

or change the text formatting of review titles and truncate after x characters to stop line breaks.

swap these:

"Corsair DDR5-7200 Dominator Platinum 32GB CL34 Review"

"Corsair XH305i RGB Pro Review"

"What Is A CPU 2022"

to something like:

"Review: Corsair DDR5-7200 Dominator Platinum [...]"

"Review: Corsair XH305i RGB Pro"

"Article: What Is a CPU?"

You could also assign a css attribute like max-height to the containing columns (containers):

That is a fair point. I have the dev @A Zayed pointed at Pooks post and below. Will work with him on it.

So I have spoken with him and apparently it is the best balance that can be achieved at the moment. May look into it again in the near future with possibly playing with theme CSS in combination with the plugin.
