or just remove the hardware requirement entirely and just go by HWBOT points. set a week or month long period and winner = whoever submits the most points during that time frame. use whatever hardware you want.

sounds like parameters for one category,  like a Run what-cha brung kind of thing and all of it, throw in the kitchen sink while at it 😛  It might have some super cold baby bath water for cooling but babies are completely excluded from competitions.  NO WHINING ALLOWED!

Oopsie I forgot to hit the submit button LOL.

I was recently thinking about categories for competitions.  LIke Fastest FSB, Fastest RAM with in it's class.  Fastest CPU of course etc etc then have them all come together and score the comp based on each one like fastest ram get's 10 points, cpu get's 10 points fastes FSB 10 points and so on then have a total combined score with them all put together into a final scoring with best total system overclock.  Hope that makes sense.

He is an excellent choice for choosing benchmarks and making it fair. Plus he's already a HWbot team captain 😛

So excellent that I have been thinking for days and I have no clue what to do to make it fair, interesting and work..
Also, that team captain thing wasn't my choice. I don't mind keeping an eye out for incorrect team submissions but I'm not really looking for extra work.

Going by HWBOT points would be a big mistake. For example, I have at least 1500 points in benchmarks that I could submit if I wanted to. Cheap hardware is the most entertaining, and usually not worth a lot on the bot.

That one hurts, that one time you were there with me and I blew that GT240 GDDR5 😭
Though that's the only card I remember literally blowing up...

No one said you HAD to my friend, you were just the natural choice. You are the most in tune with HWbot member we have on this forum right now, period. I may consider running it at some point, but I don't really want to put more on my plate right now either. If I catch you on stream at some point we can go over any ideas you might have.
