Zen 4 CPU price drops

UltraMega

Recommended Posts

Retailers have cut the prices on all Zen 4 CPUs this month. Europe and China saw prices fall by almost 30 percent for all...

This is what prices should have been at launch IMO.

The biggest offender to me has been the 7600X. I just can't imagine spending $300 for a 6-core in this day and age.

In our market, both the 7950X and 5950X have come down as well, but the 7950X is only ~ $50 more than the 5950X, while the 5800X3D is mostly sold out . Also, my CH8 X570 Dark Hero has gone up by about $100...looks like AM4 still has some legs 😬

Join the familly. I would buy you ten if i was rich. Let pray the coin am folding increase 10000x 🤣

He got me my first computer so i feel bad for him having bluescreen everydays. And he love linux. So a new platform will probably help a little.

He has some mental issue sadly so he can't work anymore.

Price drop and better free RAM are what pushed me to go ahead and grab a new Ryzen chip now.

Microcenter has been offering free DDR5 kits on Zen4 pretty much since launch but originally it was a 5600CL36. Now they are handing out free 6000CL30 kits.

Once more ITX boards are out, I'll grab something better to put in the Gene and move the 7700x into my bedroom rig. Until then, I bought a direct die frame for my 10850K and will be experimenting with it a bit more.

Except that has 16 normal threads and 16 baby threads....which, to me, is a sketchy way of claiming "32 threads"  If using something like boinc that runs 1 application on each thread simultaneously, the apps on the baby threads would take longer to compute.
