Sure. I can do that.

I actually was in the process of making some glitch logos for fun and to post here, and want to make myself a sig image, but E told me some work on a project had problems so now I have to do that. HOWEVER, I still did these relatively fast. I will try to remember to do the metal gear logo one too, pm me this week if I forget and don't get to it.

Orange and blue and HSV noise.

ehw-logo-net-glitch1.thumb.png.b2b37d9403a6256b41f33762b5dbe627.png

Teal and magenta, white background, ton of HSV noise and some wind.

ehw-logo-net-glitch2.thumb.png.39ee80d4e9c6684cecde9def8500fe34.png

Probably not usable but amusing, its lime green and pink with a curve bend on both the top and bottom.

ehw-logo-net-glitch3.thumb.png.370098d26750bde611873eec3b4f9969.png

Can you send me all the newer logos in this style that you have made in a zip file so they are not compressed by the website? Thx.

Yes, but first see my post in the staff forums about the t-shirts. I have to attend to those first. (The black shirts I've made)

You have to attend to those before you can send me the images you already posted in an uncompressed format? Can't you just send me the same images you posted here, just in a zip folder?

@UltraMega

I found a transparent version of the 90s Styrofoam cup pattern, and also have a better way of outlining text I applied to the logo.

90scupshirt.thumb.png.0901009e3af3edc6b3980b6d9e2db397.png

Hope this helps. It is fully transparent and should go on a white shirt, imo.

This kind of thing won't really work for a shirt because it has too many small pieces that will flake off very quickly. If you want to send me just the dixie cup background image and the logo as separate images I can try to use them for something.

Keep in mind, this style of shirt will have images printed on them, not died into the fabric so they will wear out over time and the more small individual pieces there are, the faster it will wear out. Something like this would wear out very fast. Thicker bolder designs are best.

OK, no problem.

The cup logo is low res. If you need me to make it bigger, let me know. (It's the one I found on Google)

Personally I gravitate towards more minimalist designs, especially as I feel a lot of designs lately are getting more and more maximalist.

Less is more when it comes to design.

Except for attempts. That's where you want more. You have to keep practicing, keep experimenting to find things that work.

Just for fun I've been messing with some different designs of my own, getting some practice using AI to make some practical images and then editing them a bit with some software.

So, I have come up with 3 designs for 4 inch lanyards and following people's advice, they have been tweaked. They have been inspired by this:

s-l640.jpg.6f1580e9bd185a3cffe9f55fbcaac3df.jpg

So here they all are.

Plain dark gray because it was asked for. This one might be the one we end up using.

lanyard3.thumb.png.2d20b7c4e84f1157ab761b4cbfac0566.png

Red/black stripes.

lanyard1.thumb.png.e8637905c58031ed2395f092d026b06a.png

Black/white stripes and checkerboard pattern.

lanyard2.thumb.png.038da96905210265226d6f8d134212d7.png

Zip with all of them is attached.

The plain gray still works the best, but your other designs are much more legible than the first versions. I tossed together a quick example with more subtle stripes. Not trying to infer that this design is any better. Just trying to highlight what I was going on about in regards to legibility. These are going to end up as what, 4x1" keytags? A good test is to view them at the actual size on your computer then back up a few feet to get a better idea of the readability in person. Either way, I'm just trying to offer other points of view or constructive criticism.

Thank you Flux, this is helpful. I appreciate your advice. I could definitely alter the opacity on the stripes layer and see how it turns out. But I want to wait and hear Avacado's opinion on the gray one as that was what he requested and is the simplest to move forward with.

The key tags are actually 1"x4", not 4"x1".

And we still need to find a site that can even make these, as neither Printify or Redbubble offer them. UltraMega said he would try and find a site that does them.

I will definitely keep in mind less contrasting colors or such bold stripes and try to apply this in the future and keep in mind that stripes can be subtle.

And hey off topic: did you see the keyboard I made recently? Check out the Mechanical keyboard club when you get a chance.

I like what Flux posted. Your second images were better than the first, but the logo should be what the eyes immediately go to and the background should not be over powering. I am a big fan of a simplistic, polished, elegant design.

Are you ok with the gray one I made? It's what you asked for. Otherwise I could make one similar to Flux' or we could just use his...

Alright, nevermind that. I have changed the gray one and removed the red border, as everyone in the other staff thread said "just do one flat background color", so I'm guessing that's why Avacado didn't like the gray one.

lanyard3.thumb.png.60282087149b3776bb33f5ac2dcb253a.png

I have also made one similar to Flux'. We probably cannot use his since it has the site logo with a gradient, and UltraMega and I found out while doing hats that anything embroidered needs to be flat colors and not a gradient.

lanyard4.thumb.png.fb738604401dbd79d4640fd8481533d6.png

I hope these are good enough and liked. I have attached the zip with the files. Now, we just gotta see if @UltraMega can find a site that makes these, once he's not busy.

Border was done in hopes that when they stitch the thing up, there would be a stitched red border along the side of them.

I'll add a red border to both right away.

Those are nice, but it's unlikely they will fit perfectly with a product. It's best to do the logo without a background so areas don't ens up being cut off. If you have a background you like, include it as a seperate image file and make it larger.

I am not sure I am understanding why this needs to be done or what you mean. I've also worked on these 3 days straight so making changes at this point is asking a bit too much.

Do you want me to make them all transparent or something? Should I keep the border or ditch it? Thanks and sorry.

Any logos should have clear backgrounds or seperate background files, otherwise they are much harder to fit and use with an actual product.

Will get to this, then. I will make all of them transparent, then take the backgrounds and put them in separate images that are twice as large, though they will be scaled up. I will make them 2"x8" and leave the logo files 1"x4".

Thanks for explaining.

Nothing is ever perfect the first time without revisions. Reviews take countless weeks and many hours of time to complete. There are never any reviews that do not undergo countless revisions, edits and additions of missed material. It is all part of the process.

If you go back to the post where I suggested this, you would notice that all I wanted to do was put the recommendation on everyone's radar, nothing more. None of this is urgent or needs to be final today.
