Oh wow, that's a throwback. My parents had the pair of speakers that you have sitting directly on the floor set up at our PC when I was a kid.

They really don't sound too terribly bad to be honest.  Yeah, they're missing that "thump" of a subwoofer, but for the range they do happen to put out they sound pretty decent.  🙂  I think anybody who had a Dell in the early 2000's (most everybody lmao), had a pair of those speakers or knew somebody who did  lol.

I paid:
$12 for the monitor

$12 for the Harmon Kardon speakers

$28 for the ProMedia 2.1's 🙂

The EK Quantux Velocity² is nice looking. It fills the empty space between the VRM heat sinks and memory. It is made specifically for LGA-1700. I got this from Titan Rig open box for about $40 below retail. It works better than the OptimusPC Foundation block and has a MUCH higher liquid flow rate. The OptimusPC block is a lot more restrictive. Temps are close to the same, slightly better (3-5°C lower core max in Cinebench).

The only downsides are the back of mobo installation and fixed position of inlet and outlet.

Oooh nice, I need to talk mine into it. We're still using a really old tcl best buy black friday special TV that's rather horrible. Did you get it from Costco? I've seen some sales on the older C1 stuff there.

Nope, just Amazon. They had them for $790. I also don't have a Costco membership.

@Sir Beregond ...just a quick addendum: 'Some' C1s actually have the physical evo panel but not the relevant software, apart from the fact that LG frowns on such user mods (still, you can Google it). In any case, the panels are mostly identical but the evo can hit higher max brightness. Then again, I have all my monitors (OLED or otherwise) at less than 50% brightness anyhow given my eye sensitivity to bright lights. You do want to avoid placing the C1 with a direct light-source in front of it, though, be it a window or an electrical light.

...not really, also because I set up my monitors up differently than most. I would just use some YT HLG HDR / Dolby Vision vids (you can also pause / repeat) for finetuning, along of course with games such as CyberPunk 2077

Didn't bother taking pictures, but I found some more thrift store scores if anybody is interested. 🙂

Boxed Sims 4

Boxed Sim City

Boxed Meavis Beacon DOS / Win95 games (2 of them forget exactly the titles)

Boxed CIV V

Logitech Dual Action USB controller (old PS1 style I think it was, no full analogue buttons at all)

Total haul was about $25 or so.  Only missing 1 disc out of all of those, disc 1 out of the Sim City I think it was, might've been Sims 4.  Either way, its abandonware at this point, so no harm in scoring it off the archives.  I'm just happy to be finding the complete boxes with artwork.   Never intended on collecting boxed games, but oops.....another collection I suppose. :lachen:
