Yep, that's the ThermalFake S8S copy.

I also just realized that the new X399 I bought is 3-way SLI and the current zenith extreme is quad and support bifurcation. So I might be sending it back and praying that the board was fine, but rather the 1900x was causing me trouble.

Probably too late, but the ASRock X399 Taichi is a great option for multiple GPUs with bifurcation support.  I ran 5x GPUs in mine with no issues.  Not sure if the latest BIOS has x8x8 bifurcation for all slots, but ASRock support sent me a BIOS with x8x8, x4x4x8, and x4x4x4x4 on all the slots.

I would definitely recommend a board that has auxiliary power for the PCIe slots if you plan on running more than 3 GPUs 24/7.  Otherwise you have a chance of burning up the 24 pin connector on the motherboard (at best or a toasted board at worst) if you are pulling full board power on your GPUs.

I've had great luck with these risers https://peine-braun.net/shop/index.php?route=common/home, since he first went into full production over on [H].

@Bastiaan_NL ...I think I might have a decent 3950X sample on my hands. Apart from InFin 1900 / RAM 3800 out of the box, I ran some Cinebench R23 for the first time. CPU is not oc'ed yet (panning to really delve into it on the weekend), and have only done some efficiency work so far.  Also looking to undervolt the CPU a bit soon.

@BWG ...that Heatkiiler edition is exactly the one I'm planning to get for the 3950X; already have the TR4 version of that - amazing quality, performance and reliability. Right now, the new 3950X setup is running on a BeQuiet PureLoop 360 (but w/ six Arctic P12 in push/pull) and doing very well for an AIO w/ thin rad, but I would like much more rad volume

Good luck with it! I wish I had some motivation to dive into overclocking mine, for now I'm happy with how it runs stock
Undervolting would be a good thing though, that'll surely get the temps down a bit..

tx...done mostly Intel HEDT and AMD TR, but never touched an AM4 before. Irony is that I only changed one setting in the bios, no 'traditional' oc such as all-core...with ambient at 23 C, temps peek at 80 C w/ CineR23 and 360 BeQuiet AIO / 6xArctic P12 in push/pull. Looking to do a custom loop for it (and the 3090 Strix OC in there) in the near future.

Just ordered a G.Skill 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16 RAM kit from local Micro Center for the new build. Found searching for b die very confusing and an exercise in much futility.

Once I get that, can finally test all the new parts and make sure they work.
