Most no brand motherboard dont support overclocking. Well my x79 micro and full atx from aliexpress did not.

Had a e5 2697 v2 12 core on them.

One workaround for this is to purchase a single 1680 v2 and use throttlestop to overclock from within windows. But trade off here is no second QPI link so single processor only. And only quad channel memory.

Yeah see, I need as many cores and as much RAM as possible as is with my 2011 setup.  Would be neat to try that out, I do have a spare dual socket board that no longer works with 2 CPU's......

to be fair, anyone who bought any GPU at MSRP before COVID made a good investment. I sold a RX 580 for double the price I paid.
