EK®, the premium liquid cooling gear manufacturer is launching its newest fan on the market, the EK-Meltemi 120ER. It is a 38mm thick extreme high-static pressure computer cooling fan, designed purely for highest-performance computer liquid cooling systems. Developed in-house on the basis of renowned EK-Vardar fans, they have a wide PWM range of operation. Due to a 38mm thick frame, there is space for an upgraded motor and far superior performance compared to any standard 25mm thick fan at the same RPM range.

Glad EK are getting more into the fan game, really like my EK Vardars! I just hope they'll start to offer more color variants.

Not bad at all, expensive if you go with a push pull config wit a large RAD, but I would imagine it would be worth it. I am still happy with my industrial Noctua fans haha.

Interesting to see a 38mm low RPM fan, like a weird industrial hybrid for radiators.

I use Delta AFB1212GHE which can be had for $11.xx from newegg here (with patience on that asia first shipping business...). I'd be interested to know what cfm / h2o / noise level I'm getting in realistic use with fan controller at similar RPM to these Maltemis. I would imagine these EK fans are stupid quiet.

Only downside to the Delta is the need for a fan controller that can take a good 3 amps per channel, but worth it when you get bored and want your PC to transform into a hovercraft..

I personally love Delta and for cooling performance can be fantastic...but as you as you say, your PC can take off. Fan controller with most of the Delta performance fans was a must a 99% of motherboard headers would blow if you tried to ramp up a Delta fan on it.
