  1. Thanks for the update, and I can't wait for all this to work!
  2. I'm not sure what the reason is, if it has anything to do with the newer units and the Cuda support. The first time I noticed it was while I was finishing both clients to play a game. With the CPU client finished I saw the GPU client increase in PPD. It was always the same thing, give your GPU client 1 core and it has enough CPU power to run everything. But for some reason it is not enough anymore. You can always try it out by pausing or finishing the CPU client and take a closer look at the TPF from the GPU client, at least for 10 frames. I wrote a post about Process Lasso yesterday explaining that the program works perfectly but there is still a decrease in PPD(a little less than without the program) but I hit refresh by accident.... (insert facepalm)
  3. Thanks, I'll download it I only restart the main system if there is a problem, so that startup window shouldn't be a problem!
  4. I should give that a try. Do you use the free version?
  5. I'll have 3 cards ready, maybe another one if the owner is not at home I stopped folding on the CPU's for now, even with 4 cores and 8 threads free for the GPU client it still impacts the TPF by a lot (up to 1.5mil ppd less). There should be a way to bind those cores to the GPU client, so the CPU folding does not delay/interfere the GPU client. Besides that, good units on all 3 GPU's compared to "bad" units makes a difference of over 4 million points.
  6. You can claim all the gifts at once now, if you missed one of them
  7. That's a sad but relatable story how you got into folding. For me it was my brother who had Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer, though he went through hell he recovered from it. A few years later I found out about F@H on OCN and decided to give it a try. At that time I lived with my parents, and they never had a problem with all the hardware folding, the power draw(which I paid for) and the heat. That heat is a problem like you said, I have some sort of office where 2 of the systems are. It doesn't really matter how hot it is in that room if I'm not at home, and I just shut down some hardware if I need to work in there on hot days. In the winter it's the best room to be in, nice and warm
  8. Congrats on the 500mil @Supercrumpet and thanks for the kind words guys I received the power bill a few days ago, though I knew what was coming it was still a lot of money For now the clients are getting ready for the FaT for the other forum, after that they'll return here! @Minotaurtoo It's not about how much you do, every unit helps! It took me a year to get the first 15 million back in the days, keep it up ?
  9. I've seen 1.4 mil for a few months, but after that it dropped and never came back up. That was with watercooled MSI mech oc's on 2ghz, just the original boost clocks.
  10. https://folding.lar.systems/gpu_ppd/brands/amd/folding_profile/navi_10_radeon_rx_5600_oem5600_xt57005700_xt If you go to this link you can scroll all the way down to see some results per unit. Average on those charts looks the same as I saw on my cards for the past few months. I pulled the 5700xt's out for a single 2080ti though, so no recent numbers from my cards.
  11. Thanks for sharing Sadly I was too late for the Valhalla content..
  12. Well, if we would only receive "good" units it would be nice. The lowest I've seen was somewhere around 5.8 mil ppd, usually between 6 and 7 million and with some of those good u nits it's over 8 million. It is a beast though, not only in performance but also in size and powerdraw
  13. In as Bastiaan_NL The Gold membership from last month has not been claimed yet.
  14. I finally received a few units that seem to use the 3090, 99% load and 455w power draw. 8.3 million ppd with 520k points for a single unit
  15. I agree that the 4 pin is optional, but I refuse to use this board in it's current state. And I don't think we'll be overclocking the CPU at all, he should be fine with how it is Waiting for that board to return sucks indeed, and as much as I like building computers, having to do it all again for this reason isn't fun either. Yeah, who knows what else is wrong with the board.
  16. That looks nice! Good thing you installed grills on those fans
  17. My brother has ordered the Ryzen 5950x with an ASRock x570 Taichi board, 32gb ram, a new m.2 ssd and a Corsair RM850x for his new build, and we've started building the system today. He already had the GPU and some SSD's and the rest is new. I noticed something was off with the 4 pin female CPU power connector next to the 8 pin connector on the board, it was turned 90° to the left. I own the exact same motherboard and on my board it's in the same orientation as the 8 pin. Now the next part might be a bit stupid, but I was assuming that they may have had a good reason to change the orientation of the connector. It never crossed my mind that it was a mistake, so we continued with the build. After finishing everything and connecting a monitor, mouse and keyboard I switched the PSU on and the motherboard lit up with the RGB. I pressed the power button and all that happened was a mild click from the PSU and nothing else, the RGB was still on. First I thought it had something to do with the bios being too old for the 5950x, but that click and no number/code on the led display made me think twice. I disconnected the 4 pin cable leaving only the 8 pin connected and it booted without a problem. Here is a picture from both the 8 pin and the 4 pin connector. If the connections under the connector are the same as on my board, it will directly short 12v to GND. That's why the PSU was clicking and nothing happened (let's hope so). After removing the 4 pin and leaving only the 8 pin connector installed I checked the CPU and RAM in the bios, everything was up to spec. If anyone has an idea what would be a good test once we've rebuild this system to make sure that nothing has happened to the CPU and RAM, please let me know. I personally think that everything should be okay, because there was a direct short between the 12V and the GND on the GND "rail", but just to be sure... We installed his GPU and other SSD's back into his old pc, and we'll return the board as soon as possible.
  18. I also switched back to my own account, I hope you enjoyed the extra folding power @bonami2
  19. I don't know much about guitars, but my brother likes to play Rocksmith too. That one looks good though Nice, they have some pretty nice stuff!
  20. @tictoc The copper and black looks so sexy! Do you have any idea what that case weighs?
  21. That looks clean, unlike the mess you would have with the original cables. Have fun with the data migration
  22. Interesting, let's hope it won't happen again! The 2080s will start working on the first unit for you in a few minutes
